@immortal90s Yes, I do. However, it's an extremely half-assed port. It looks and plays worse than the PS2 version and it's packaged with one of the worst games I have ever played. I'll stick with the PS2 version.
Hey which mission was it on "Frontline", where you dress up as a German officer and this other officer sees through your disguise and yells "You're not Frederick"?
MW2's missions only SEEM complicated. In reality, they're extremely simple. Everything is carefully scripted, leading you down a very narrow path towards the end of a level. It is virtually impossible to get lost or forget what to do in MW2, because the game forces you to play the level the way the developers want you to. Frontline, on the other end of the spectrum, doesn't exactly hold your hand.
The developers cared about the graphics. You have to realize that this game came out eight years ago, back when graphics technology was more limited. For a game that came out in 2002, this game looks very good.
I personally think that Frontline is better than Call of Duty. I wouldn't call this game "legendary", but it IS a very good game. Frontline doesn't get much attention these days, and it has not aged as well as other games from the era, but its hardcore fanbase hypes it to hell and back. It's actually pretty overrated by its fans, but it's still an excellent game, even without multiplayer.
well im sure it will get proper and deserved attention when the ps3 limited and tier one editions of medal of honor release. gives me a good chance to play it. only hope its "remastered" and not "remade" since i would be annoyed if i was playing it on the next gen frostbite or unreal engine
@linuxpowerification I meant what I said. It's my opinion, so it doesn't matter if you think Call of Duty is better. I prefer Frontline. Call of Duty has very restrictive gameplay that does not give the player any freedom at all, and I think that is poor design. Medal of Honor is certainly linear, but it still gives the player a lot of freedom.
i would go with "It's my opinion, so it doesn't matter if you think Call of Duty is better",but with the restrictions on gameplay, you should check that up,because i love frontlines but cod have much bigger environments.Unless we are not talking about the same cod(because i didnt played the firs),but if its cod2,you are very wrong there.
@linuxpowerification I'm not talking about the size of the levels. Call of Duty has larger levels, but the game still gives you less freedom because everything is scripted. Even in the levels were you have the option to complete the objectives in order you choose, you still are forced to follow the orders of your squad and perform actions with them, or else the game won't move on. CoD 2 is extremely scripted for the most part, and I wish it wasn't.
and who told you frontlines wasnt scripted? im pretty sure its not dinamic AI or environments too, since ps2 didnt had the power to handle dinamic AI.Yes cod2 its scripted,as frontlines is,and for me,it gives the same freedom, because since i remember you have very linear levels on frontlines,cod2 also have them but not so linear.
@linuxpowerification What? I'm not talking about dynamic enemy AI or enviroments. I'm talking about the gameplay. Do you remember having to repeatedly follow the orders of your squad in Call of Duty, such as when the shooting stops momentarily and your sargeant yells at you to "get on that gun" or "go clear that house", even if you don't want to? THAT is scripting. Frontline has a little of it, CoD 2 has a lot.
By the way, the PS2 can indeed handle dynamic AI. Just look at Metal Gear Solid 2.
that is called objectives, its to keep the gameplay interesting and make you reach some point,of course its scripted if it was dinamic it could happend with any npc instead of the player, frontlines its scripted all the way from start to finish, the difference is that you can approach an objective from the place you want.MGS2 doesnt have dinamic AI,dinamic AI is what you have in games like ArmA2,or farcry2(this have a mix of both).
@linuxpowerification Frontline has objectives. The difference is that you can complete them in any order, and you aren't forced to play the game any certain way. CoD 2 feels like an interactive movie. It's still an excellent game, but it isn't something I want to play repeatedly. Sometimes, I really don't feel like driving a tank or manning an MG42, but in CoD 2, I'm forced to.
hey thanx for replying !! I am from india can we be friends ???? can you give me tips to improve my aim in MOH?? and how to earn stars quickly in BF2 MC???
Sure. Just send a friend invite and I will accept it. If you want to aim well in Frontline, I would advise you to take your time lining up your shots. You should also remember that you aim more quickly if you aren't pressing down the aim button than if you were. Keep this in mind when trying to shoot an enemy that is running when you are equipped with a sniper rifle. I barely remember what Battlefield was like, so I can't help you there.
Thanks! I honestly don't know if there is a difference in aiming speed between the two versions, but I'm sure that the game isn't hurt too much by it even if there is one.
0:19 have you ever tried kill that group of germans with throwing one single grenade to them and all (is it 5?) men dead??? just surprise them behind and that's it :D
MOH Frontline was such an awesome game b/c it infused some really cool elements of spy games (like Operation Rapunzel and A Chance Meeting) into the classic first person shooter game war game (levels like Your Finest Hour and Arnhem Knights).
@MrHun2 Cawn down mate, it seems to me that you are angry about the checkpoint thing, I think it is a good thing to not use checkpoints, it makes the game harder and you will play it longer and it wont end that fast.
He's right. Since the game is challenging, it takes longer to beat, thus extending the length of the game. Furthermore, since the game is harder, it makes completing the levels far more satisfying. :D
yeah your right I m the stupid this is a very good game i beat it with 6 or 7 times:D I like it and don't hate the checkpoints thing Look the Medal Of Honor 1 1999 where is the checkpoint I m died in the end and start again and I don't get angry:D
It's more or less something you just get used to. I got used to it after a while, and it's nice to see that you have also stopped hating the lack of checkpoints. I actually wish more games would lack checkpoints, because then the player's in-game "life" would mean a lot more to them. I don't care how hard a game is; if there is a checkpoint for every two minutes of gameplay, it doesn't matter very much if I get killed.
Let's calm down, now. This is not the worst Medal of Honor game just because of the lack of checkpoints. Yes, it makes the game significantly harder than its predecessors, but this is still not a very difficult shooter to beat. Don't hate a game just because it is less forgiving than the modern games that hold you by the hand.
Well, I wouldn't say that either game is terrible or anything... However, I will admit that as awesome as COD4 was, MW2 was a huge disappointment that isn't half as good as anyone says it is. The single player campaign feels sort of half-assed compared to COD4 and the multiplayer is perk-grabbing, kill-streaking nonsense. I like MOHF better than both games. Definitely. I miss this style of shooters, with varied objectives and interesting missions. Nowadays, everything is just frontline combat with lots of yelling and explosions. Of course, that is all well and good, but I grow tired of the same thing over and over again. Oh well, at least we have the classics, right?
I love this game. It has that real sense of "pizazz" that games these days lack. It was one of my first games and, ultimately, one of my favorites. It definately surpasses COD WAW and COD MW. I miss the good old days...
man I loved this game, just shows you don't need brutal realism to make a game fun. This and Operation Repunzel were my 2 favorite levels. the pub is just awesome!
What's strange though is that its called MoH frontline yet only 1 3 levels are actually on the frontline of battle
I noticed that about the title, too. There are only a few levels where you actually have people fighting by your side. But the levels where you do fight with allies are excellent. Good times. :D
To be honest, I have no clue what that song is called. While I can name just about any of the songs from the first two MOH games on the PS1, I never learned the MOHF soundtracks' names.
This was my very first FPS all those years ago. Firing the German Gewehr 43 sniper rifle was a real joy when you used it against it's former owners lol Happy memories;-)
You just need to do what it says; Crouch in front of the hood of the truck, and press the action button to drain the truck's gasoline. The hood does not open on trucks.
you must sit in fron of the truck and you will get the option to open the oil pan. you should get the tool for this as this player picked it up @ 2:58 and then when you are in position in front of the truck you will get the option to open it. good luck. i played it years ago but still remember, dont know how you crouch. lol.
i think we can all agree this game was amazing and immersive (D Day Level especially) but i recon if a game come out today like this it would be a flop, deemed too simplistic, not enough action etc
I don't think so. There are a lot of people who miss the classic MOH style. It may not be able to top the likes of Metal Gear Solid or any of the other FPSs, but it would be a lot better than the new MOHs.
Played this on HARD because EASY was frustrating.

i think we can all agree this game was amazing and immersive (D Day Level especially) but i recon if a game come out today like this it would be a flop, deemed too simplistic, not enough action etc

I don't think so. There are a lot of people who miss the classic MOH style. It may not be able to top the likes of Metal Gear Solid or any of the other FPSs, but it would be a lot better than the new MOHs.

Maybe so, but it's the only way to finish the video in less than 3 parts, due to the 10 minute time limit.
