  • You know, I heard that in the audio commentary for "City of Stone," when Demona picks up Macbeth and swings him around, series creator Greg Weisman says "She's a little bit in love with him right here."

To which I have to say .... I KNEW IT!

  • It's interesting how even the villains in this show have sympathetic sides. Demona you can sympathize with, even if here actions in the present are reprehensible, and Macbeth is hardly a villain at all, more an Ahab obsessed with his White Whale.

Xanatos is a villain, but frankly he gets less evil as the series goes on, or less directly antagonistic towards the Manhattan Clan in general.

The only purely villainous character the series ever seems to introduce is Thilong.

  • @TheBType which is interesting how you worst enemy is none other than yourself, cloned or not.

  • Whoa, Demona picked him up and swung him around. And MacBeth: "My lady." It is rather tragic how they were apparently friends for quite a long time before it all went to hell.

  • Demona betrays then gets betrayed, betrays then gets betrayed again, talk about karma.

  • @MrSkeleton16 Betrayal seem to be Demona's forte

  • FOR SCOTLAND!!!

  • is it weird tht goliath is kinda cute

  • Gah! These episodes are so awesome that I keep forgetting to press the like button! I move on to the next part or episode in my daze at how spectacular this show is!

  • go bronxs! show Demona who is boss 0:06, he still growls and protects Elisa. He doesnt like her, but growl at her and wants her away from her.

  • @sexywhiteshewolf I guess Bronx brptects her still because he can tell Goliath is ery close to her and is like family.

  • Why do the bad guys attack at night when they know that's when the Gargoyles come out? Logic: It's not so hard to think.

  • @FatherOfGray at this point in time none of the villians know of there resting place.

  • GOOD THING BRONX LIKES ELISA!

  • Macbeth's accent FTW!

  • Well Macbeth that was fake as hell!

  • I heard this show was on Disney XD. Sadly I don't get channel 122 :(

  • Bronx. The ultimate god out of the machine...

  • NEW YORK!!!!!

yes.....ummm wait aren't we in Scotland 0.0.....im confused

  • At exactly 1:33 while the army is approching one soldier distinctly yells "NEW YORK!"

  • @turtlemanjohnson425 and again at 4:54

  • Wow, that king lacks honor. Why even consider betraying your own friends?

  • I wish they continued the series

  • @ 3:34 I think its really touching how Demona picks up Macbeth and twirls him around - it shows that she really did consider him to be a true friend, and explains why she finally went off the deep end when she thought that he was going to betray her. Until that point, it looked like Demona's life was back on track but then it went to shit again, although maybe she shouldn't have been so quick to judgement over Macbeth.

  • @radiofiendify I agree Macbeth and Demona are really tragic.

  • Ah.. Owen even looks good as a rock.. *dreamy sigh* XD

  • @XShadowMuncherX I guess it gives new meaning to "ROCK" hard abs. TEE HEE HEE

  • i like these episodes. they invlove history and help me get smarter :)

  • why cant i turn this show of

  • Bronx is a good doggy, defending Elisa :P

  • Bode is a good man, but a LOUSY strategist!

  • Just started this episode, but just thougth of something odd. Demona is plannning to kill the gargoyles then all the staue turned humans (at least in the city)...She wants to share the city with a bunch of deaf or blind humans...? Well, she shall certaintly be lonely XD

  • that old fuck is a curse on macbeth, jesus spoke nothing bu stupid shit since he appeared, all hail macbeth high king of scotland father of the king hereafter

  • 2:20 "eAAAH!! *SPLAT*

Demona sure has a thing for skull smashing

  • 3:35 Demona is happy! How nice. Haven't seen that in a while ;)

  • good ol' bronx!!!!!!

  • With Demona's battle cry they should have named her banshee

  • Funny how Macbeth is so prominent in this miniseries, yet he is very behind the scenes in the actual present. Showing himself but once with a mask on.

  • Good ass series!

  • Dude, Demona totally reminds me of Hawkgirl from Justice League. She's even got the mace!

  • there were five survivors, Demona and four guys. Now there's a whole gang load of Gargoyles....Demona must have gotten real busy.

  • @Masquarette Makes you wonder whether Angela's got a half brother or sister floating around somewhere...

  • demona obviously got busy there is an army now. awsome!

  • Couldn't the reamining gargoyles make more eggs and make a bigger clan or what?

  • @FlamingAngel12 yea, they shouldve ran a train on demona

  • The scene at 1:47 gave me the chills. Demona leading the gargoyles into battle to fight with the Scottish humans against their common foe to protect their own country, because at that time they coexisted peacefully and the English had all gargoyles killed. There is so much in that scene and it is animated beautifully, along witth the music and the sound effects of one gargoyle after another gliding down. Had to replay it a few times.

  • "the English got rid their land of gargoyles years ago"

    FUCKING BASTARDS!!!

  • Well Macbeth could've went back to his clan and when they all freak out he could've been all like, "tis a flesh wound." c:

  • Jealous much?

  • Demona clan grew..cool.. But it will never replace wyvern clan.. the gargoyles in Demona Clan look British...

  • Seriously?

pt 4! Does this show just have continuations for every episode!?!

    The beginning had 5 pt!!!!!!!!!!

  • this and the first episodes are the only long chains really. all the others are standalone

  • Demona loves Elisa don't she?

  • That gave me smiles. In my heart :)

Too bad it always ends badly for Demona =A=

  • Comment removed

  • Go Bronx, go Bronx!

  • i love a good cat fight! :D

  • soo...a couple episodes ago all but four of Demona's clan were shattered. WHERE THE HELL did all these new ones come from just a few years later?! There are about a dozen attacking in the scene around 2:00.

  • they all flocked to castle moray as it was the last safe place in britain for gargoyles.

  • If I didn't know better I would say that demona was beginning to have a thing for macbeth.

  • Demona's war scream is off the charts!! Probably would bust out some windows lol

  • you know, if this was Halo or something, i bet the 'Betrayal' counter would be off the charts

  • She betrayed him first at the battle with his cousin and the british. he overheard macbeth's son urging his father to give the gargoyles over and was sure macbeth would relent so allied with britian against him to 'give him a taste of what he had in store for her'.

  • How Did Demona betray Macbeth first, How?

  • 2:04 Is something I'd love to see in live action. Iconic Demona right there!

  • Yeah, but according to Greg Weisman she never had children after the Wyvern massacre

  • thats too bad, poor gargoyles

  • @pigsrockmyak47

    "Fuck Greg Weisman"?

What did he ever do to you?

  • @pigsrockmyak47 who's greg weisman?

  • @bbphnix he's the creator of 'Gargoyles'

  • Bronx actually acts like a real dog. They respond to tone of voice, not actual words. That's why when Demona speaks gently, he sits by, but when she gets harsher, he reacts.

  • go Bronx, go Bronx! I love that dog. thing. gargoyle.

Whatever he is, he's adorable ^_^

  • is it just me, or was this whole thing just a wonderful Xanatos Gambit doen by the Wierd sisters.

  • Eh, if it was a Xanatos Gambit, then it'd be a win/win outcome no matter what. As it stands, I see nothing for them to gain...other than entertainment.

  • This medieval fight in Scotland is one of the best parts of Gargoyles !!

and anytime this Gargoyle screams creep the shit out of me .. whats just wrong that they din´t made something like this again ?

  • Is that Shaun Connery?

  • Exondriak,

Sorry, but no. It's John Rhyes Davies. You may know him as Gimly from Lord of the Rings. Don't feel bad though, it's a common mistake. I made it myself once. Lol.

  • Lol I was mistaken it seems. It sounds exactly like him.

Anways, thank you for the correction.

  • Ah, like I said, it's a common mistake. The two sound eerily similar. One way or another though, a good choice for the part.

  • Macbeth was foolish for even considering betray. They could have worked out something... I understand why Demona is pissed at him.... a good king but a very foolish choice.

  • He wasn't considering betrayal. He was actualyl going to lay into the old fool for bringing up destroying the Gargoyles. He was just trying to teach a lesson to his son about considering all options before reaching a decision. Once his son left, Macbeth was then going to yell at the idiot. But, Demona didn't stay for the whole story. She left, so she didn't hear it.

  • why does Macbeth listen to that retard...

1.tells Macbeth to let daughter marry someone else

    2. tells Macbeth to surrender to cousin

3.Now tells him to get rid of gargoyles, the best defense

  • Well, MacBeth, even in this universe, is still a tragic hero. So, he must have a tragic flaw. In this case, he appears to share Hamlet's flaw of wavering. Acting upon bad advice, not acting on good advice, and just plain being hesitant to trust his instincts.

Luach, on the other hand... not so much. Gotta love how he's just like, "Dude, seriously, pops, are you fucking retarded"?!

  • @MidoriOri OK! I know, he's basically the reason Macbeth and Demona's friendship ended.

  • @MidoriOri i always wondered that myself, its not fair that he was there period

  • @MidoriOri I know you posted that comment 2 years ago but man thanks so fkn much for the spoiler.

  • she certainly likes that mace

  • they are so stupid. How u goanna talk that way about Demona! ass holes!

  • To think over all this time Demona was doing all this fighting and stuff while Goliath and his clan were chillin at they're castle.

  • Ok, so the secret passageway that nobody but Demona knows about, even though the other gargoyles lived there too AND Xanatos rebuilt the castle, so he should have noticed what he was rebuilding... yet nobody knows about it besides Demona and... Macbeth? The heck? XD

  • Sheesh Demonia is a bitch!

  • For a minute there, at the beginning of this clip, I thought Demona was going to get some peanut butter for Bronx

  • I am really starting to think that Demona doesn't hate Elisa because she is human. Rather, because Goliath is in love with Elisa.

  • maybe...

  • Demona hates Elisa more than anyone else because she's jealous of her position in the clan and her bond with Goliath. Demona wishes to be in her place but would never admit it.

  • My thoughts exactly.

  • Maybe they should have just waited till dawn to have that conversation.

  • I know Demona's immortal, but if Demona was turned to stone during they day (Like she did before Puck), what would happen to her if she were smashed to pieces? Would she pull a picolo and regenerate? Would the statue be unbreakable?

  • idk. I've always wondered that myself. She said that she's too vulnerable (sp?) during the day. I always wondered what she meant. My theory is that the only way for her to die is to be killed or for MacBeth to be killed.

  • We know that the only way for her to die is for either her to kill Macbeth or Macbeth to kill her. Still maybe she could "Survive" as a broken statue but could feel only pain?

  • mmm she's immortal but that doesn't mean she's immune to weapons. So she can still die, just not from old age or illness. That's how I see it anyways.

  • yeah, but when MacBeth gets stabbed, he doesnt die, and when demona falls into the flaming roller coaster, she doesnt die.

  • They have to kill each other in order to die. One at the others hand at the same time.

  • How about not immune to weapons but not pains, so if someone cuts you with a sword you won't die from the wound. But it'll hurt and have to wait in agony until it heals by itself. Happens in myths before.

  • but what good is immortality if ya dont test it once in a while.

  • they;ve been wearing that old ass mask over and over. geez

  • LOL I KNEW IT!! I made bet in previous episode that bronx would pounce Demona before crushing Eliza so damn typical!!! so whos gonna pay up, i want my five bucks!! lol jk

  • I don't have $5, but I have five knuckles that wish to say hi. Want to meet them???

  • and if you look at it in a bigger picture than the only one to blame is demona she betrayed her own clan, she created the hunter and the sad thing is she just blames goliath for it and just don't look to herself first

  • Demona is the cause of society's problems.

  • this is both their faults how could macbeth consider betraying the gargoyles after they helped him being king in the first place and how could demona think like that in the first place she drawed her conclusions to fast so in a way their both stupid, so sad it finaly seemed peace was going to be a reality and all the killing and betrayal would have come to an end

  • yup, just like the three witches said, "betrayal leads to an endless cycle of more betrayal" (or... something like that)

  • To think all this hunter BS all came from a kid getting his face scratched.

  • Yeah its funny how somethings work out isnt it?

  • how could Macbeth be willing to betray her, after all she's done for him. Why

  • war and death have ravaged the land. kill one, save a thousand. that's the choice he faces.

  • A long time ago, she betrayed him first.

  • I LOVE the flashbacks.

  • Enough of the flashbacks.

  • When Demona's group attacks Canmore's men, the music kicks much ass

  • Listen to your child. Macbeth promised Demona that he would protect her kind. So if Macbeth listens to his father in law he is betrying(sp?) that agreement.

  • Demona should have had one of her Gargoyles kill Canmore right after he was Banish

  • The theory is that after she found out how immortal she really was, she went back to Scotland and killed Canmore when he became King. That's what made all the Canmores after him hunt Demona.

  • they didn't show that did they.

  • No, but they never explained why the Canmores hunted Demona and it's just a theory.

  • well considering Jason Jon and Robins mess up Family and how they were Raised they could have turn out a whole alot worse.

  • PBronks can be so Distracted

  • i can't wait till the episode when angela is there :P i really like her, and it's coincidence that my name is also angela :P

  • dont you just love it when your faverit Chracters have the same name as you do

  • yes! and i think lots of people think so too :)

  • did Demona even think of that

  • wow pissed off ex

  • haha, when demona and macbeth both punched goliath

  • Poor poor Demona. You never realize how alone she really was and how many times she tried to see the best in humans and trust them. I understand her entirely now. I don't blame her ONE bit. She has every reason to hate humans after what they've done to her and her kind for those many years. I can't imagine what she felt when her only love, Goliath, chose humans over her. I'd snap to. </3

  • What are you talking about if your watch the next part you would realize that MacBeth really meant was that a good king consideres all options. IT doesn't mean he acts on them but he has to give them all at least a moments thought.

  • I don't think she's snapped. I see her as having an extraordinarily strong willpower, but she's being rash about everything. Elisa is a wrench in her gears, but I'm quite glad. If Demona got her revenge on the humans immediately, what would be the point of this show?

Wow, lets watch a bunch of Gargoyles hang out and watch TV, have babies, and rule the world!

  • Not even, Demona's the one who betrays everybody. The first time somebody doesn't do exactly what she wants she turns on them. She starts off regarding everybody as her enemy, its no surprise if they start acting like it

  • lol. 2-12-1. 2-1 repeated. What a sad thing I notice. :-P

  • The part where she picks him up and twirls him around (almost dancing) is truly sad.....I get the feeling she was *just* starting to feel comfortable enough to allow herself friends again, and the misunderstanding pretty much seals the deal for her perpetual feeling of betrayal

  • And it's even more sad because if she had given Macbeth the chance he would have chosen her over what his father in law's idea. I have no doubt in it, I think that's why they've fought eachother for as long as they have. Their relationship meant more to the both of them that I think they'd admit and they both feel that the other betrayed it.

  • That sucks man what happend in England was a plan gone bad lol.

  • weired, not just demona turned young, also the rest of her clan

  • And once again betrayal... Demona's life really sucks. Can't blame her for wanting humankind dead.
