When some of these comments were written, Modric was much better, but I think some of them need to be updated because Nani is now slightly ahead of Modric as this years stats will tell you. I agree that they are both very good players but you can't compare modrić and nani because they are different type of players. nani is a winger with excelent dribbling and speed and he brings extra man with his dribble.modrić is playmaker and he play with his "head" ,very intelligent player. His passing and overview of game is extra and with his movement along the pich is fantastic. When I see how he keeps ball between much taller and stronger player is amazing. To conclude modrić is diamond :D

Modric moving to Man U is senseless... Fergie has 1-2 years maximum remaining and so will not be looking for "what move should I pull off to ensure that I have the best team in 3-5 years" as he did with Berbatov, Valencia etc. When his successor comes in the club will be shaky, unproven, it will take a while to see if Man U will still be the powerhouse that they are under Fergie. Modric could be a star at a team that are up and coming, pushing for CL or a secondary player at MAYBE a powerhouse.

modric came from dimano zagreb to the toughest league in the world. Can you imagine what a big change that is? Let him play a season and get used to the premier league. Cristiano Roaldo for example was just dancing around the field the first half of the year when he came to ManU. modric will develope and he will become one of the best on this position.
