  • how big would you say one of those larger craters are in diameter?

  • That is crazy

  • i would like to see uranus through my telescope

  • @Jonastein13

my giant telescope is already on uranus!

  • ey, nice video, regards of spain !

  • People who don't believe this should go to a public observatory once. You can even see all those craters and mountains with a small telescope.

    Great vid! Nicely done.

  • this is not fake even hitler says its not fake.

  • Incredible video! I like it!

  • This is so damn good ,,, the universe is so huge that we are miserable little flies in it ...!

  • Thats just beautiful. Did you ever catch a UFO while admiring the view of the moon?

  • this is not fake this is almost exactly what i saw through my telescope but this isnt quite as good though it just blows your mind it's so beautiful seeing it through a telescope.

  • Amazing for a web cam.

  • the moon is extremely cratered mainly on the far side,it really has probably saved earths bacon many times

  • i didnt know the moon had that mucg craters, when i saw the moon i saw a huge crater and around it was all white

  • fake! or no fake! looks awsome

  • It's not fake.I think this views are normal through 750/150 Newton telescope

  • Wow, you can almost see the difference between a crater and the scar thats left behind when the Moon rolls over Earths surface. And check the elemental make up, it happens to be the same basic roots to the compounds of limestone, that are deposited in the same shape, if you realigned the continents. Neat! Remember kids, that doesn't exist and never will.

  • Wow, good job, i've viewed the moon through the telescope and I was amazed, the only problem was that the more you zoom in the more you have to concentrate as you keep having to move the telescope because the moon moves quite fast when you are zoomed in alot as the moon and the earth it moving .... it really does show in my opinion how fast the Earth spins on its orbit.

  • thats what you call great quality and i dont know where religon came into this?? we are looking at a moon video

  • this is a video about the luna surface and you are all argueing over religion?? Seriously who gives a fuck? worship whoever you want.. or no-one it doesn't matter my friends a christian and it isnt killing me!!.....or is it?? ;-)

  • why do people argue over science and religion, when both compliment each other> In fact the most prominent scientis, Sir Issac Newton did not seek out to radicate religion with his ideas, he used those ideas to establish the awesome power of God. For only God could have created such a balanced universe filled with concrete laws and infinite components. Look at the theory of evolution and the story of creation, except for the concept of time, you'll find that there is very little difference.

  • wow that's amazing

  • wow this telescope is really expensive

  • are you in america because the moon looks alot brighter over here and theres more stuff to see

  • earthquake!!!

  • are you using a moon filter?

  • The only filter I used is the IR filter that is built in the camera's lens. I user a screw driver to pick it from the lens, and glued before the CCD. It is a small circle shaped filter.

  • Thanks for sharing this video with us. Fine result.

    Thierry

  • I love reading your comments Robin! I agree, very nice video.

  • y is every1 pressing the thumbs down on ur comment it is a reli good video and i agree with u

  • allah is the creator of everything including jesus

  • I must disagree with you on that one.

  • SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • Allah created you as well as the moon triangleshaped.

of corse the moon could be a piece from the earth or the sun.of corse the moon could be a material catched by the gravitational field of the earth while it came from interstellar space.

but it is humble and wise to recognise the strenth of Allah

  • No allah did not create me, i and everyone else evolved .

    Ever heard of DNA?

If allah is so great why isnt islam the only reigion on earth?

Sorry to burst your bubble but christianity was around thousands of years before allah and the fake prophet came along.

  • there is lots of evidence supporting the theory of evolution .We may well have had ape like ancestors and we also may well be a strain of apes.

all creatures may well have evoluated from

once source into what we see today.

the point is not wether christianity or islam existed before the other ? but who is

more humble and god fearing ?

the average muslim or the average christian ?

    part1

  • by the way !!

while islam accepts a DNA based transmission of information from parents to kids.

christianity isn't able to accept that because the DOGMA accepted among christians is that jesus had no human father.

we muslims don't know how jesus (who is by the way muslim) could evolve without the DNA of his father the human.

allahs path i hope you find

  • Oh wowow hang on.

Christianity and Islam are very different.

Jesus didnt teach us to kill and beahead the infidels, jesus didnt tell us to force convert everyone who isnt muslim.

How can you explain this, islam has been around for a couple of thousand years.

The universe has been here for billions of years.

    Why did allah create dinosaurs.

why did allah create deadly animals.

    Why did allah create cancer.

Nature put us here, not some man living up in the clouds.

  • Cancer- Cells that mutate and multiply uncontrollably, (cancerous cells often skip DNA replication going through the three stages, DNA Replication, mitosis, and cytokinesis). Deadly animals? Their actually helping the environment, otherwise if we didn't have predators, our earth will be crowded with animals. Also you haven't noticed that WE kill all certain types of animals just for their meat and hides? We are killing the earth, not the animals. We rely on conscience, they rely on instincts

  • Conscience is your instict NOT to kill but animals dont have that instinct usually : (

  • No, otherwise I'd have guilt after eating that Potato/Beef stew yesterday.

  • well there are alot of people who are vegitarians just because they dont like kiling animals. i eat meat and i dont feel bad. but i still dont like to kill animals but i would for food.

  • whoops, I mean they also skip the three stages of the cell cycle.

  • Wait, how do you know christians don't accept DNA?I'm christian and i accept DNA. Jesus died 2009 years ago, im pretty sure people didnt even know what CELLS were, much less DNA.

Besides muslims go insane and blow stuff up. Then we have to kill them *SAD FACE*. By the way, stop saying Allah. Allah=God from Arabic, to English.

    Christianity

    Islam

    Judism

    All worship the same god.

  • you accept DNA .Well

please explain to me how jesus has no human father ,i don't get it.

as for muslims go insane and blow stuff up .Well if the ennemies of muslims are unable to negotiate with muslims and invade them every once in a while than there is nothing left than to blow them up ! maybe than they understand that they are dealing with living entities that have emotions and moral standards.

only muslims worship the one, ture, absolute cosmic god wich is allah subhanahu ' wa ' taala

  • Because he is the son of god.

When did america invade the middle east? We wouldnt be in Iraq if your radical muslims hadnt blown up the world trade centers!

Tell me, whats so better about Islam?

Little girls can't go to school.

Wemon can't wear what they want.

And i have one question. How do you explain dinosaurs? And also, Christianity was founded way before Islam.

I respect every religion, but seriosly... your being overdramatic. Do you think God wants you to kill innocentpeople?

  • Dude, I'm on your side right now, but we went to Iraq only because we were informed nuclear warheads where there, we asked to inspect it, but they said no. Otherwise, Al Qaeda in Afghanistan did the 9/11 attack. but I completely agree with the God part of it.

  • IF the big bang created our universe, what created the matter that made the big bang? (No I'm not Islamic)

  • the matter that made the big bang came from an egg, and the egg came from a hen, and the hen came from an egg and the egg came from a hen,and the hen came from an egg and the egg came from a hen and the hen came from an egg and the egg came from a henand the hen came from an egg and the egg came from a hen

  • can i ask how you attached your camera to your telescope appreciate it thanks

  • I used a simple converter that I purchased in a hungarian telescope shop. This is like an eyepiece but has no lenses within. The Philips ToUcam webcam is connecting to this (with detached lens).

  • i want a telescope

im only a teenager but im interested in astrology :)

In ASTRONOMY thats what you meant :)

  • HAHA yeah

    shows how much i know

    im dosey mee

    Oh welll

  • cant wait for the pictures when the future luna missions happen

  • I love the detail and love the way the earth moves so fast that to the untrained it's unoticeable.

  • cool how much did this telescope

    cost??

  • how much and where i can get this telescope which give the same result or better ???

  • i just got my first telescope it is a bresser rb60 60mm refractor telescope

  • Cool, I got that one too D: It's quite good.

  • My tele will do near to what you see up there. takes compounding barlows and a 12.5mm lens though.

  • do you know what would be cool

if you could see the face on the moon yourself with your own telescope which you can but that is cool

  • if this really IS your view through your telescope, than how does NASA NOT have clearer pics of the moon.. 40 yrs later

  • Have you ever used a telescope my friend? I had a 4.5inch reflector (look it up) that cost me less then £100 (one hundred British pounds)and I can get images of the moon almost as clear as this, just not so highly magnified.

If you buy a book of NASA archived celestial photographs there are INCREDIBLY clear images of all the planets in our solar system, so I do not know where you get your ideas that nasa does not have images of this quality.

  • very nice, how much?

  • Very nicely done.

  • That is amazing. Thanks for sharing.

  • Is that telescope good: telescope STAR 70060 SKD? plz respond i'm new in astronomy...

  • Remarkable image scale for this object! It would have been nice to be given the details of the telescope in the video description.

  • first time i saw the moon thru my mates telescope i gasped at how clearly you can see the craters an pock marks. nice vid thanks.

  • Good Telescope

  • Observational Astronomy really is an underestimated hobby. Thank you very much.

  • omg thats so cool!!!! you have a REALLY good telsocope

  • wow you could see a moon landing

  • i cant wait till the night to use my telescope for the 2nd time

  • wow, I envy you.

  • amazing clarity

  • I never tested these telescopes, but generally longer focuslengths, smaller apertures are better for planets, shorter focus, larger apertures for deep sky objects.

  • hey mate i realy need to no a good spec telescope im new to this but i cant seem to get a response from anyone plz help!!!!!!!! thanx kane

  • I just bought Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ Telescope APERTURE 130mm, FL 650mm, FR=5 and it comes with 10mm lens and 20mm lens. first do i need Celestron Ultima 1.25 in 2x to get closer images, second i just bought this one and i can exchange it with Celestron AstroMaster 114EQ 1000mm APERTURE 114mm FR 8.77 or keep the 130EQ?

  • and is it true that the moon is moving away from us some thing like 4 cm or 4 mm a year? So one day we could have no moon. We take the moon for granted.

  • as soon as the moon is gone , we are gone , the moon keeps us alive and controls gravity on earth , and with out the moon we wood lose gravity and woulsd die. So yes, people really do take the moon for granted.

  • actually the moon doesnt control our gravity. it stabalizes our axis tilt, without it the earth axis would wobble causing irregualr seasons and other climate changes. also it influences our oceanic currents, which would also cause major climate changes, so actaully our moon controls our weather

  • True. 2 inches a year.

  • nice.

Is it true the moon doesn't spin on its axsis?

so that means one side of the moon has never been seen? How hot must that side of the moon get when it's facing the sun and how cold when its away.

  • when the moon gets hit by sunlight the surface temperature can rise to about 250 degrees celcius, and when in the shade and darkness its surface temperature can reach -250 degrees celcius.

  • the moon does spin on its axis, but it spin nearly equalls the rate it orbits our planet! so only 1 side of the moon is shown from a perspective from earth. the side facing the sun can reach 250 fahrenheit the side not facing can reach -250 fahrenheit

  • Cool telescope! How much did it cost?

  • u probably had to adjust the settings on the webcam didnt u?

what and how did you change them?

  • There is a control panel of Philips Toucam, it's possible to adjust almost everything here. I turned off automatic mode, then I played a while with some settings, such as shutter time, gamma, gain, saturation, white balance, te get good results.

  • To everyone who wants to see the Moon's detail: I suggest getting yourself a good pair of binoculars first. 10x50 (10 = Magnification, 50 = Aperature) or larger for around $80. The reason is that they are much less expensive, and can be used for other things. If it interests you enough, get a starter 114mm telescope for around $150, good make. Then you will be able to start seeing planets, nebulas, globular clusters, and maybe galaxies. Once experienced enough, think about a CCD imager.

  • Not only that but binoculars are better suited to fully appreciating the depth of features in nebula, the moon and the planets because you only use one eye with a telescope which means you lack all depth perception.

  • is the moon moving really that fast or is it the telescope that moves that smoothly

  • I didn't use the clockwork, so the constant, fine moving come from Earth rotation.

  • hey awesome shot im getting a telescope but its my first one are Celestron 900/114 Powerseeker 675x will this be good will i see da moon and saturn

  • I never used that telescope but probably a 900/114 Newton is very good for Moon, and with good eyepieces for Saturn or Jupiter. Larger mirrors (150-200mm) give better image quality but they are more sensitive for air turbulencies.

  • Note that 625x magnification will be completely useless with a 114mm telescope. I own a celestron 130 Astromaster (Just a step above yours) and planets begin to blur around 325x. At about 500x, the atmosphere takes over, and even 10" Dobs will have a hard time seeing!

  • Wow, thats a good telescope!

  • nice but what telescope did u use and the magnitude power 240x? can u tell me plz

  • Nice job.

  • Check out my moon movie at AcousticNeon.

    This one is cool.

P.S. why all the bad language!!!

  • heyy just leetin u kknow.. im learnin about this stuff right now in school =] is so fukin interesying. the planets and shitt lol...tell me How Much did u pay for this telescope...i wanna see the moon too. =] But yeahh thanks for postinn this great vid...ima be nice and rate it 5/5 lol..k

    -J

  • Hm... I haven't got any orbitting space telescopes yet, so I can not record the rotating of moon. I'm sorry... :)

  • I can actually see the maria up close!

  • why is it not moving

    i mean orbiting aroung?

  • so you tried?

  • you also have a really good telescope by the way.

  • telescopes are for geeks & nerds

( get a girl to play with )

  • hey devuurheer, I think your a fucking faggot cause a nerd could be really good, you know why? If there weren't nerds in the universe, we wouldn't know shit about the universe or anything so fuck off cocksucker. Also we wouldn't be having this technology to write this right at the moment so go think about that and go jack off.

  • I already have a girlfriend you dumbfuck. But I still like telescopes. So fuck off you asshole.

  • i'm trying to find a really good telescope, but how much was that thing?

  • telescopes are for geeks & nerds

( get a girl to play with )

  • hey devuurheer, I think your a fucking faggot cause a nerd could be really good, you know why? • fuck the universe geek!

  • I already have a girlfriend you dumbfuck. But I still like telescopes. So fuck off you asshole.

  • your father shes probably very ugly

    go fuck your daddy

  • no actually, she's a really hot slut. I fucken think that you obviously don't have a girlfriend and I wouldn't fuck my dad cause that would be incest. Why don't you fuck your own dad and mom? probably ugly fucks anyways.

  • fuck your daddy boy

  • go fuck daddy ..... and look at the moon trough your telescope

  • actually your pretty stupid cause I don't have a mom or dad. I am homeless with my computer and my telescope. So what now mofo? Also don't evern waste your time saying go fuck your computer or my telescope because it doesn't have any holes.

  • put that telescope in your ass

  • sorry too big and can't fit and even forcing it won't work you buttfucker.

  • so you tried?

  • yeah and? what's your point?

  • nothing, you just put that telescope in daddys ass and look for undiscoverd planets

    ........daddys little assboy

  • well I can't cause I don't have a dad or mom. I told you I live homeless and my telescope isn't good enough to see your ugly fucking face anyways.

  • look trough the ass of the daddy

  • dude im just joking around

i got a telescope too but i cant see shit trough it so i wanted to make this my hobby but as i cant see trough it then whats te point its a luxon with everything on it moon and sun filter etc i bought it cheap for 50 bucks new in the box but its usseles to me ... trying to look trough it for hours but al i see is black from the night sky

  • so you give up from talking to me? thats pretty sad fuckface.

  • give up ???

    NEVER!!!!!!

im just telling you my story why i hate telescopes

    btw

your daddy is a princess in the gaybar

  • I told you I don't have a dad. adn also I think your saying all this because of you having a bad expierience of telescopes, RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY A SHITTY ONE! YOU DUMBSHIT.

  • Its so good the way a hobby like star gazing through a telescope can bring people together isnt it. This thread is just living proof of that. Sigh! Makes one kind of proud to be part of the human race.

  • wish we could see mars this close up :p

  • I didn't use eyepieces. The webcam was in the primer focus (no lenses in the light-path at all).

  • How much is your telescope? Where can I get a similar one? What price am I going to expect?

  • It is a Soligor 150/750 Newton. I bought it used for about 780 USD.

  • Pls: where did you buy this and also the cam? camera came w/ it?

  • do you think it would be possible to see the lem and the lunar rover with an even more powerful telescope?

  • No. Some ask if you can see the flag that was placed on the moon. I heard that even with the Humble you couldn't do it. Btw, I heard that the flag has probably fallen down to the ground and is no longer standing. :(

  • that is really a nice view!how much did that telescope cost?please reply.

  • Sensational video, mate. Its almost like you're in orbit around it.

  • it's amazing, breathtaking detail... if i had a telescope i'd miss work looking at the sky, if anyone knows of a good quality telescope for a ''decent'' price, could you mess. me with details, please? thankz

  • No you wouldnt miss work...work is for the daytime...you would watch the sky at night and by midnight/morning your wife would sort you out if you werent in bed. Simple logic.

  • thank you m8

  • gonna buy a Newton skywatcher 200mm q5 soon,

    can't wait !

  • So amazing! It make you feel as though your standing right in front of the moon!

  • can u tell me the model plz

  • Philips ToUcam pro II. (pcvc 840K)

  • whats the going market price on that model of telescope?

  • It is a Soligor 150/750 Newton. I bought it used for about 780 USD.

  • Thanks lastbrain...I have noted that down. Its an excellent price for such a quality instrument. I love amateur star gazing. For too long I have used binoculars...time to get serious. Honestly your vid makes the moon seem touchable. How do you go beyond the moon. Like spotting galactic clusters, comets ,planets and star clusters not visible to naked eye?

  • No, I used the IR filter only that was in the webcam. It was fixed to lens but I removed it and put before CCD.

  • Did you use moon filter?

  • cool!
