So i have been interested in astronomy my entire life. Why i never got into it as a career is beyond me. But i've decided to finally buy a telescope. The one i'm looking at is the Orion StarBlast 4.5 Astro Reflector Telescope. Was just wanting someones opinion on it. Is it a good starter/begginer telescope to get?
this is not fake this is almost exactly what i saw through my telescope but this isnt quite as good though it just blows your mind it's so beautiful seeing it through a telescope.
Wow, you can almost see the difference between a crater and the scar thats left behind when the Moon rolls over Earths surface. And check the elemental make up, it happens to be the same basic roots to the compounds of limestone, that are deposited in the same shape, if you realigned the continents. Neat! Remember kids, that doesn't exist and never will.
Wow, good job, i've viewed the moon through the telescope and I was amazed, the only problem was that the more you zoom in the more you have to concentrate as you keep having to move the telescope because the moon moves quite fast when you are zoomed in alot as the moon and the earth it moving .... it really does show in my opinion how fast the Earth spins on its orbit.
this is a video about the luna surface and you are all argueing over religion?? Seriously who gives a fuck? worship whoever you want.. or no-one it doesn't matter my friends a christian and it isnt killing me!!.....or is it?? ;-)
why do people argue over science and religion, when both compliment each other> In fact the most prominent scientis, Sir Issac Newton did not seek out to radicate religion with his ideas, he used those ideas to establish the awesome power of God. For only God could have created such a balanced universe filled with concrete laws and infinite components. Look at the theory of evolution and the story of creation, except for the concept of time, you'll find that there is very little difference.
The only filter I used is the IR filter that is built in the camera's lens. I user a screw driver to pick it from the lens, and glued before the CCD. It is a small circle shaped filter.

Wonderful job filming. Our Moon is just one out of almost 170 moons in our solar system. Our Moon is also more than 10 billion cubic miles in volume. Our Moon is just over 240,000 miles away.
Allah created you as well as the moon triangleshaped.
of corse the moon could be a piece from the earth or the sun.of corse the moon could be a material catched by the gravitational field of the earth while it came from interstellar space.

and is it true that the moon is moving away from us some thing like 4 cm or 4 mm a year? So one day we could have no moon. We take the moon for granted.
as soon as the moon is gone , we are gone , the moon keeps us alive and controls gravity on earth , and with out the moon we wood lose gravity and woulsd die. So yes, people really do take the moon for granted.
actually the moon doesnt control our gravity. it stabalizes our axis tilt, without it the earth axis would wobble causing irregualr seasons and other climate changes. also it influences our oceanic currents, which would also cause major climate changes, so actaully our moon controls our weather
when the moon gets hit by sunlight the surface temperature can rise to about 250 degrees celcius, and when in the shade and darkness its surface temperature can reach -250 degrees celcius.

There is a control panel of Philips Toucam, it's possible to adjust almost everything here. I turned off automatic mode, then I played a while with some settings, such as shutter time, gamma, gain, saturation, white balance, te get good results.
To everyone who wants to see the Moon's detail: I suggest getting yourself a good pair of binoculars first. 10x50 (10 = Magnification, 50 = Aperature) or larger for around $80. The reason is that they are much less expensive, and can be used for other things. If it interests you enough, get a starter 114mm telescope for around $150, good make. Then you will be able to start seeing planets, nebulas, globular clusters, and maybe galaxies. Once experienced enough, think about a CCD imager.
Not only that but binoculars are better suited to fully appreciating the depth of features in nebula, the moon and the planets because you only use one eye with a telescope which means you lack all depth perception.

no actually, she's a really hot slut. I fucken think that you obviously don't have a girlfriend and I wouldn't fuck my dad cause that would be incest. Why don't you fuck your own dad and mom? probably ugly fucks anyways.
actually your pretty stupid cause I don't have a mom or dad. I am homeless with my computer and my telescope. So what now mofo? Also don't evern waste your time saying go fuck your computer or my telescope because it doesn't have any holes.
i got a telescope too but i cant see shit trough it so i wanted to make this my hobby but as i cant see trough it then whats te point its a luxon with everything on it moon and sun filter etc i bought it cheap for 50 bucks new in the box but its usseles to me ... trying to look trough it for hours but al i see is black from the night sky
I told you I don't have a dad. adn also I think your saying all this because of you having a bad expierience of telescopes, RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY A SHITTY ONE! YOU DUMBSHIT.
Its so good the way a hobby like star gazing through a telescope can bring people together isnt it. This thread is just living proof of that. Sigh! Makes one kind of proud to be part of the human race.
No. Some ask if you can see the flag that was placed on the moon. I heard that even with the Humble you couldn't do it. Btw, I heard that the flag has probably fallen down to the ground and is no longer standing. :(
it's amazing, breathtaking detail... if i had a telescope i'd miss work looking at the sky, if anyone knows of a good quality telescope for a ''decent'' price, could you mess. me with details, please? thankz
No you wouldnt miss work...work is for the daytime...you would watch the sky at night and by midnight/morning your wife would sort you out if you werent in bed. Simple logic.
Thanks lastbrain...I have noted that down. Its an excellent price for such a quality instrument. I love amateur star gazing. For too long I have used binoculars...time to get serious. Honestly your vid makes the moon seem touchable. How do you go beyond the moon. Like spotting galactic clusters, comets ,planets and star clusters not visible to naked eye?
how big would you say one of those larger craters are in diameter?

Ever heard of DNA?
If allah is so great why isnt islam the only reigion on earth?
Sorry to burst your bubble but christianity was around thousands of years before allah and the fake prophet came along.
triangleshapedcheese 2 years ago
there is lots of evidence supporting the theory of evolution .We may well have had ape like ancestors and we also may well be a strain of apes.
all creatures may well have evoluated from
once source into what we see today.
the point is not wether christianity or islam existed before the other ? but who is
more humble and god fearing ?
the average muslim or the average christian ?
part1
sofianbelhedi 2 years ago
by the way !!
while islam accepts a DNA based transmission of information from parents to kids.
christianity isn't able to accept that because the DOGMA accepted among christians is that jesus had no human father.
we muslims don't know how jesus (who is by the way muslim) could evolve without the DNA of his father the human.
allahs path i hope you find
sofianbelhedi 2 years ago
Oh wowow hang on.
Christianity and Islam are very different.
Jesus didnt teach us to kill and beahead the infidels, jesus didnt tell us to force convert everyone who isnt muslim.
How can you explain this, islam has been around for a couple of thousand years.
The universe has been here for billions of years.
Why did allah create dinosaurs.
why did allah create deadly animals.
Why did allah create cancer.
Nature put us here, not some man living up in the clouds.

If there weren't nerds in the universe, we wouldn't know shit about the universe or anything so fuck off cocksucker. Also we wouldn't be having this technology to write this right at the moment so go think about that and go jack off.

Its so good the way a hobby like star gazing through a telescope can bring people together isnt it. This thread is just living proof of that. Sigh! Makes one kind of proud to be part of the human race.

I didn't use eyepieces. The webcam was in the primer focus (no lenses in the light-path at all).

How much is your telescope? Where can I get a similar one? What price am I going to expect?
Firewall2153 4 years ago
It is a Soligor 150/750 Newton. I bought it used for about 780 USD.

FightTyranny 4 years ago
do you think it would be possible to see the lem and the lunar rover with an even more powerful telescope?
ringostarkey360 4 years ago
No. Some ask if you can see the flag that was placed on the moon. I heard that even with the Humble you couldn't do it. Btw, I heard that the flag has probably fallen down to the ground and is no longer standing. :(

it's amazing, breathtaking detail... if i had a telescope i'd miss work looking at the sky, if anyone knows of a good quality telescope for a ''decent'' price, could you mess. me with details, please? thankz
juggalowlyfe21 4 years ago
No you wouldnt miss work...work is for the daytime...you would watch the sky at night and by midnight/morning your wife would sort you out if you werent in bed. Simple logic.

whats the going market price on that model of telescope?
aeonflux67 4 years ago
It is a Soligor 150/750 Newton. I bought it used for about 780 USD.
lastbrain 4 years ago
Thanks lastbrain...I have noted that down. Its an excellent price for such a quality instrument. I love amateur star gazing. For too long I have used binoculars...time to get serious. Honestly your vid makes the moon seem touchable. How do you go beyond the moon. Like spotting galactic clusters, comets ,planets and star clusters not visible to naked eye?
aeonflux67 4 years ago
No, I used the IR filter only that was in the webcam. It was fixed to lens but I removed it and put before CCD.
lastbrain 4 years ago
Did you use moon filter?
