Yes it seems that a large proportion of blacks dominate the drums.

Its based on body dynamics. Whether its fast twitch ( drums ) or slow twich ( ie ice hockey etc )

Still in the end, doesnt matter what colour you are, you can still own at anything.

and i think there are more experienced black drummers compared to other races because most of the black drummers grew up in a church environment where there are plenty of other drummers that can share knowledge with them when they are young and start them of early so those church drummers have an advantage over the others that don't have such an opportunity

true, with enough practice, and a decent amout of natural rhythm, you can be very very good on the drums. i think the reason people from african decent are often better at drums is the way theyand their ancestors were brought up, music is a huge part of their culture, and from this they gain a better understanding of rhythm and such.

one thing though, slow twitch muscles are used in things like marathon running, not ice hockey. ;)
