The original song is Italian, "Tornerai" (= You'll come back), from 1936 (music: Dino Olivieri; lyrics: Nino Rastelli). Originally sung by Miriam Ferretti, the song was about lovers who separate. A rewritten version from 1942 makes it about a soldier gone to fight in WW2. The French version ("J'attendrai" = I'll wait) appeared in 1939, sung by Rina Ketty, and was a huge success. Raffaella Carra (Italian), Dalida (French) & Silvia Pinal (Spanish "Volveré" = I'll return) also have good versions.

当時(30数年前)としては随分と斬新なアレンジだったのが記憶に残っています。
今回改めて聴いてみてやはり古さを感じさせません。

この頃はイージーリスニング全盛時代で、恐らくポールモーリアとの対抗意識もかなりあったと勝手に思っていますが、とにかくノリまくってますね!
