I allways thought the Miata was a goofy looking car..but couldn't put my finger on it. I think the rounded shape & the skinny track makes for this thing being roll-prone. Alot of cars seem to have these too tall, too narrow a track...mount the drivetrain a little too high & you got a "rolling" machine. Kiss your competitor with your rounded fenders & you pop him over. Old BMWs had that 'tall' look...but now have "squatted" much better. Look carefully at any car from the front & you can tell.

I don't think it's a fair comparison.

The Miata is cheap and Elise is expensive. Therefore you could safely assume that most Elise drivers have taken several driving/racing courses and are experience racers. Where the Miata drivers are mostly beginner racers and onlt have limited racing experience.
