I have American Idol Encore 2 and it's fun, but not that challenging. I'm a mediocre singer, but I have made it to the finals already after only using 3 times and I have it at the most difficult setting! Also, I wish there were more songs. It's fun, but I expected it to be harder and I'm no Whitney Houston by any means!

Ok. It's very fun, but the songs are easy! My mom says she can't sing worth a crap and she sang a song on hard and still did good on it. There are some good songs but only about 40 or 50. But you can unlock more songs. Your desicion.

can you change the key of the song. Like if someone wants to sing a song but the original is lower than what the singer wants to do. Also can you phrase it your way and do your own ad libs and riffs? basically doing your style of the songs.

Anyone deciding between this and Lips should definately go with the second version of this game. Yeah, the songs are covers, but you can remove the vocals so you have pretty accurate versions of the songs. And the Paula Abdul song is the real version. You can also do an AI tournament, sing duets with your friends, create amazing looking characters, and unlock new stuff. The graphics are amazing, especially in the new Gothic Ruins venue. It's way more fun than Lips because it's an actual game.

Actually, there is one more original song you're forgetting. It's 867-5309/Jenny by Tommy Tutone. According to one of the (now former) producers at Konami (who was once on my friends list on the Xbox 360), told me that 867-5309/Jenny is a master track, but it's a 2008 re-recorded version of the song.

Im going with this, got this and Lips for Xmas but I have to pick one. Lips microphones are the only thing really keeping it in my head! xD It doesnt have any good modes or leaderboards or anything really. I've looked stuff up for ever so I think i should know! ;p
