I feel like the actual actor that played 47 in the game could play him in the movies. His voice is awesome for the role (duh) but his face is pretty close to the game character and he probably knows how to play 47 too since he has been doing the dialogue for 4 games.

Timothy played the part well. His job was to be a Elite Assasin and he did well. He showed no emotion which gave you this feeling of mystery. i think he did a good job.

I wouldn't worry about small details such as eye color, but you should worry about small details such as spelling. It's so easy to check your spelling when posting on sites such as this. When you see a word underlined in red, just right click on the word and it will give you some options. You would have to come a little closer than you did with "nonses", but just sound it out... nonsense. You should be able to get it with just a little effort. Just try to give a damn.

They needed the voice actors to play in the film. The guy that voices 47 in the english game looks and sounds like him, (search David Bateson) not that cabbage patch kid Olymphant. I was surprisingly impressed with this movie. I didn't know what to expect other then I liked what I saw of Timothy Olyphant when he played Bullock in Deadwood. So I gave it a try and loved it. He is fantastic! thank you.

47 looked almost 40 he looks 20 to 30 47 has no emotions he does, you can tell if he's pleased, angry, cocky... 47's voice sounds deep but apathetic he sounds average, not mature enough 47 is invisible, knows how to use disguises (changing outfits) he is invincible, maniac kills a group of people with dual submachineguns (changed clothing only once) 47 says no more than necessary, every word counts he's easier to predict with all the talking face it people, olyphant is not a good 47 actor.

Timothy Olyphant is a great actor but staring as Agent 47 doesnt suit him, i mean yes he has the lonesome and dark walk but hey, hes too young. If you want to see Jason Statham try to play 47 just watch "The Mechanic" or "The Expendables" or hell... ANY other Jason Statham movie. Thats the only role he ever plays; a rip off of 47.

i liked the movie, as it was intersting, filled with action and some good acting, but as a big fan of the Hitman franchise ( Hitman Bloodmoney was the first game i played when i got my 1st xbox) it kinda tracks away from 47s persona. Not much stealth, alot of mindless action, and more of a secret agent than a contract killer. Still it was great and i think its one of those movies you don't forget.
You people forget that the film was a complete critical and financial failure. Not to mention that both the story and the acting sucked so fuckin bad. It's nothing like the game. He's just a bald james bond wannabe here.

I think this guy actually played the character very well. I like jason stathom alot, But i think its unfair that people keep knocking this guy saying other actors could have done it better. Its not the best film,but its definately not the worst, I enjoyed it anyway :)

People bitch too much. The movie was good and Olyphant portrayed 47 decently. It would be a bit difficult to make a movie with a lead character that has basically NO personality, as the one in the game. If you hated the movie than don't bother watching the second when it comes out.

I fully agree with cristiancr791 and bigredjew! This movie should have been a lot darker and deeper. Instead, they made a silly action flick for retarded kids, wich doesn't capture the spirit of the game at all. Such a wasted potential, it's painful to even talk about it.
As for the choice of lead actor - of course David Bateson. He has been playing the Hitman character from day 1. He is the voice of
Hitman, he is the face of Hitman, he is the soul of Hitman: HE IS THE FUCKING HITMAN!!!

Timothy Olyphant is a great actor but staring as Agent 47 doesnt suit him, i mean yes he has the lonesome and dark walk but hey, hes too young. Agent 47 is abit more grim and older, i say David Bateson, hes got the talk and the personality. Few dark words and so on. See David in a suit and a red tie with the dark grim look. David will be the perfect gods assassin. No offence to Timothy fans. Hes just alittle young in feature to be Agent 47. Most say Jason Stathom. Hes good in a suit, thats all.

i liked the movie, as it was intersting, filled with action and some good acting, but as a big fan of the Hitman franchise ( Hitman Bloodmoney was the first game i played when i got my 1st xbox) it kinda tracks away from 47s persona. Not much stealth, alot of mindless action, and more of a secret agent than a contract killer. Still it was great and i think its one of those movies you don't forget.
