Hope you dont mind me saying this, but I got sat here in front of me, two boxes containing the Power FC and FC Commander, and also the Power FC Boost Control Kit for the R33 GTR. All new. I might put them on EBay...hmmm.
Motorex is closed. There are about 100 US federally DOT and EPA legal GT-R's that were imported before they closed . Most trade hands in the $30k - $100k range depending on the year. Check out my blogs, and links. Look for RB Motoring on Google. More info there.
@tyndago ...pick up heaps of gtr's and gts-t's in australia cheap every person with a passion for imports either drives a gtr or an rx-7 series 6 to 8 spec 2.. i got a r32 gtr in the garage and picked that up for $18 500 au with reinhard exhaust and the factory upgrade nismo computer nismo cams
lol i was just gonna say can hear the good ol faithful 044 in the trunk i had mine in the trunk of my r32 gtr then moved it to inside the tank heaps quieter especially if u drive it everyday
We run 1000cc injectors, and are at about 60% duty cycle at 635 whp. We have a good amount of fuel. I hate running out of fuel headroom on the dyno. Always seems to happen.
It's very unlikely that the classic RB beast will ever be legalized in the United States huh? I'm 21 right now, and I really want one of these things before I turn 30. I stay on the east coast, so that makes it even more impossible to obtain one that is legalized. Somtimes I just want to up and go to Tokyo just so I can learn the ropes of a mechanic and build my own GT-R supercar. This car isn't Lambo or Ferrari, but amazingly it's presence is twice as bone chilling as those cars. Maybe...
There are about 100 Motorex - US legal Nissan Skyline GT-R's in the US. Check out my blogs and websites. We even have a few for sale. By the time you are 30 - R32's will be over 25 years old and fully legal to import and drive in the US.
Awesome man! Thank you for the uplifting news. There shouldn't be an issue with modding them with HKS parts in the US should it. I think that's is the manufacture I'd like to go to when I buy an R32 because I will. Even though there are so many good manufactures out there. I will check out your blogs too, sounds good.
Do some reading on my blogs and sites like I said. You have a lot of time to research and save up. I have been working on the Nissan Skyline GT-R here in the US for 10 years. I have a lot of experience with them. They are fun, but expensive to build right. I like some of HKS parts, but not all their parts. I use some Tomei, some Garrett, some HKS, Reinik, some other brands.
Will do man. I love reading up on important information concerning GT-Rs anyway. Better reading from you than some of these other sites that don't know very much about the parts and regulations and then send people interested in buying them on stray for nothing. lol
I would like to know how to get one back into the states as I will be going to Japan in Feburary. I really want an R-34 but a 32 will do just as well.
the only real was was to get one that was imported by motorex which i believe only imported some. now you can be sneaky and get a full rolling chassis and have them give you a new vin and then inport the stock RB26 and all the goodies seperate, as the major issue is the RB wont pass our emissions. that is also why the jap supras and us supras differ
sounds like you guys got it rough :( i dont think austrailia would be asgreat if we didnt have such a veriaty of japanese sports cars, you cant go down the road without seeing an r33 gtst or early model wrx (befor the bug eyes), or if you like supra power why not go get a chaser :P theres plenty around infact v8s are almost outnumberd by imports so the govenemt finally put import ristrictions on in early 2000 :( , look up vl turbo ( a domestic chev that came factory with an rb30 engine :o)
yeah sounds like a similar story to me i got 1 044 in tank with 700cc injectors, roughly 600awhp @ 30psi in 4th gear, the fuel pressure is starting to get a little low at that power level plus my injector duty cycle is 95% so i think ill leave it all about there to save doin bigger turbo, bigger injectors, fuel system to suit, plus im runnin standard plenum, 600hp intercooler and a t04z. so the next step is a damn big 1, save some dollars and in maybe 6 - 12 months i might be able to do it, lol
Its a two stage or step rev limiter. When one set of parameters is met, the vehicle has a rev limiter at the first "step" or stage. Then when you go out side those parameters then there is another rev limiter. I dont remember exactly, but I think the first was around 6500 and the 2nd was 8000.
sounds like need for speed XDDDD

rotarycorvette1 2 years ago
It needs to be a Power FC Pro. It was only available for certain cars. You need an aftermarket add on to make it work on your car.

@tyndago damn i dont know if its a pro or not its for a mazda rx7 fd! where can i buy the add on iam dying for the 2 step...

Thats just a single Bosch 044 in the trunk. Thats enough for over 500 whp on a GT-R.

We run 2 044's in the tank of RB Motorsports R32.4 . We wanted to make sure we had plenty of fuel. We do.
