  • Lol this videos fake, Most of these photos look like they're in africa or russia or something.

  • If you compare the UN data about population under the poverty line the US has numbers comparable to emerging economies:

population under the poverty line in the US= 15.1%

    in Brazil= 15.5%

Now I think that probably the left wing will gain some power in the US

  • more than half of these pictures weren't even in the US and the pictures with the hispanics i'm sure they were illegal immigrants who live in poverty because they are unable to find a decent job. i read an article on yahoo about poverty in the US and the majority of poor people have internet, cable and a dishwasher. poor people in the US live 10 time better than the actual real "poverty" of the world where children don't have clothes and water to drink. USA should do something about illegals!!

  • @neneyounge

    most homeless people are white...

    don't be racist

    that's why poverty exist

  • @278upsidedown i'm wasn't being racist. i was merely stereotyping a little

  • 3:20 SO TRUE

  • We have to recognize the reasons of suffering to solve the problem.

  • Bill Gates is blessed to help others. Thank God for the Bill Gates who hire peple and gives scholarships that the government cannot. This is a democaracy remember. You, too, can be a millionaire. Just ask Oprah and hundreds of others.

  • @Corduroy66 if eeryone could be like oprah then there wouldnt be an oprah empire.....we live in a system of debt created by the federal reserve banking system and if we dont get rid of it we will stay enslaved by the system

  • Number of Americans in poverty hits record high,

The number of Americans living in poverty rose to 46.2 million last year, nearly one in six people,

according to the US Census Bureau' s annual report, billions for israel and bankers trillions on wars the american dream is only real when you are a sleep wake up The american dream is a nightmare and a illution

  • Only 10% of the u.s lives in poverty because 10% of the u.s is black.

  • The ten poorest US cities Are 1.Detroit, MI no Republican mayor since 1961 2.Buffalo, NY no Republican mayor since 1954 3.Cincinnati, OH no Republican mayor since 1984 4.Cleveland, OH no Republican mayor since 1989 5.Miami, FL has never had a Republican mayor 6.St. Louis, MO no Rep. mayor since 1949 7.El Paso, TX no Republican mayor ever 8.Milwaukee, WI no Republican mayor since 1908 9.Philadelphia, PA no Republican mayor since 1952 10.Newark, NJ hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1907
  • America does not have poverty. It has lazy people who make one bad choice after another and don't want to accept the outcome of all of those choices. This video is a myth and the people in it want for free what other people work very hard for.

  • I like what Heifer International does. They will give a family a cow and teach the family how to take care of cow for milk and when the cow has a calf, they are to give the calf to the neighbor and teach him how to raise and so on. If you can only afford to donate enough for a chicken...that works.

  • 1 in 6 children live in poverty. 3.5 million incl children experience homelessness a year nearly half the children in the world live in poverty. all the food was distributes evenly but the now rich people clearly took more then there fair share not caring and now have 2 much ... comunism is a simple solution.. and if the rich werent as greedy it would work.

  • @Dom5142 So you're saying my family must donate 95% to charity each year? You would see me with an angry mob if the USA was communist.

  • @frenchfrys12 no i am not saying anyway near 95 percent im saying a percentage which would have to looked into. well that whole angry mob would be a bunch of greedy right wing people who are heartless enough to let people die of homelessness, starvation or disease. you clearly don't see things the way they should be seen get over yourself

  • @Dom5142 "comunism is a simple solution" I don't concur with that quote. The average annual salary is $5,000. With that, No one could afford all the amenities you and I enjoy if money was split. Hell, no one could even access the internet then. But then idiots would not be able to spread their propaganda to other people. Hmmm...

  • @frenchfrys12 and yes it is. poor or not every one would be equal and if they are in poverty they could improve that as a community not personally and by responding to my first comment your only calling yourself greedy.

i like that idea about the internet on the other hand you idiots could do with a silencing

  • @Dom5142 By idiots I was referring to the person making a statement (The one supporting communism). I suggest you read some facts about it. Both China and Russia were communist. Russia's economy collapsed and China eventually abandoned communism. People should enjoy the money THEY make. Donating food and shelter will NOT stop poverty.

  • @frenchfrys12 and look at the world now in a severe recession. if it was done right it would work

  • @Dom5142

My thesis: The only way to end poverty without economic collapse is to stop having children.

  • @frenchfrys12 no just get people to run things properly and there wont be poverty to put right

  • @Dom5142 Like what? Expanding cities? Making the world communist? I'm pretty sure the average human is going to suicide before he/she is 30.

  • @frenchfrys12 thats just your opinion

  • @Dom5142 No, it means you lost the internet fight you were doomed to lose 2 weeks ago.

  • @frenchfrys12 no it means your too much of an ignorant capitalist to see things anyway different to how you want to

  • @frenchfrys12 your wrong about Communism failing Russia and China because it was not Marxism they were following it was an abbreviation of it. so Communism is likely to work.

  • @Dom5142 How bout we do nothing? Then the excess population disappears and they'll be no more poverty :)

It solves the root problem without having to take away my families house.

  • @frenchfrys12 ok agreed :P

  • People living in poverty are a byproduct of overpopulation. Since it is impossible to make them stop having children, the only method to ending poverty would have to be execution or mass genocide (Which is something I would NOT support).

Even if you donate food, water, and shelter, the only good that would do is produce more children living in poverty. Let's face it; life is mean and cruel. It haunts me that I am discriminated because I grew up in a happy family and like to spend my OWN money.

  • In nature, predators keep the population of herbivores stable. That is why they have adequate food to survive.

In society, farming gave humans the opportunity to form permanent settlements and explode in population, while keeping dangerous animals away that once haunted caveman. Overpopulation especially happened during the industrial revolution, when the survival rate increased along with the average human lifespan. WE all know that humans cannot multiply forever.

  • The limiting factor today is LAND and JOBS, not food. The world has enough food to feed everyone plus 2 billion more people. The problem is that food cannot reach those who can't find a good job. That means communism is the only way to but the world, BUT, there would be no competition and no one would make any inventions or volunteer. This means a communist country will eventually collapse.

  • Education and development is the fastest way to stop poverty. In order to reduce mortgage costs and provide everyone a home would be to expand the economy and expand cities. This gives people the opportunity to find jobs and children the opportunity to get proper education and make the correct choices. In fact this method is so obvious we have been doing that for 2,000 years.

  • AS the population hits 7 billion, humanity is over stressing the entire Earth. Global warming, over development, and deforestation is stopping us from expanding. And since the population will keep growing, more and more of the world will live in poverty.

  • Now the suggestions I made are not "correct". They are based on these information I researched or had prior knowledge about:

-Worlds gross domestic product for 20th and 21st century

    -Ecology

    -History

    -Economy

    -Poverty

    -Over-development

I'm sorry I can't list the links, they are just too hard to convert.

  • P.S My family has donated over $500 to charity and we helped fund an honor roll student with a 4.0 GPA so he can go to college.

  • @MsMicmouse you sure seem to be hateful towards americans, our government may be a bully but we the people aren't.

you have no reason to call an entire country hateful when YOU are the one spewing hate, especially at the people in america who are the worst off.

  • 21st century:

1 in 6 people suffer from chronic hunger (FAO).

1,345 million people live on $1.25 a day or less (World Bank).

The largest investor in education is a poor country (Kiribati - 17.80% of GDP on education).

The world is investing more in education than ever before.

The world is producing more food than ever before.

The world has more poor people than ever before.

The solution to poverty is not education. The solution to poverty is mass sterilization and genocide.

  • @MsMicmouse Excuse me?? Americans do not choose these policies. Our Govt gives more money to foreigners then their own people. I do not accept this. I am sure there are other who do not either.

I used to be homeless twice. Don't speak for my whole country.

  • @duvexy sorry - that is a commom misconception amongst Yanks - the US 'Aid' budget is about 1% of GDP - not high by world standards. US Aid is also given largely as 'MilitartyAid' = weapons and training to tyrants to oppress their people - especially unionists and HR workers and Indigenous activists. Any non-military Aid from the US has to be spent (90% of it) with US companies.

So please - stop the endless whine that ypou are supporting the world, because you ain`t - quite the reverse

  • @MsMicmouse

no one deserves to live like this not matter how "hateful" their country seems. NO one.

  • sad

  • I am Canadian. I was a US soldier from 65 -68. I am very disturbed to the extent which US folks do not care about the poor and the disadvantaged. I like to think rtaht we in Canada have more caring. I may be wrong but i do not think so.

  • @sgtcrab1

US, folks care about the poor and needy, one big difference between the US and Canada is the US uses and is much more dependent on private charities, we also have bigger holes in the social safety net here in the US.

  • @jamesevil12 See? all those people saying how evil and arrogant the USA is, but so many of us are just as exploited as any developing country.

  • So terrifying, as a person living in poverty, to see the comments are all squabbling back and forth with such self righteous viciousness. Mean time, nobody's saying, "how can we make this better," and I still have no sewage, running water or heat.

  • Well; This is quite of a shame if we consider the fact US military budget is roughly twice the budget of the rest 200ish worlds countries put all together...

  • Remember the reflections Ptolemy (Egyptian pharaoh) "all empires rise and fall ... rise and fall as well ....".. this shows the beginning of the end of" Pax Americana "leviathan of steel with feet clay ..... The china is coming .... the Chinese totalitarian monster will impose on the world his ruthless brutality .... From Brazil;)

  • @KKKSuperFan Agreed!

  • @KKKSuperFan what do you have against rich people?? Ya ever think that they may have more drive than you>?? Or talent. Tell me, have you ever got a job from a poor person???

  • @Trashfished If that were the case it would much more fair, but that is not the case.

In America wealth is displayed as such:

    Top 1% own 26%

    Top 5% own 75%

    Top 10% own 90%

and the last 90% of the population in America have to share the last 10% of the wealth in America.

Tell me is that fair? No, in fact that is similar to most banana republics.

  • @whatdoyouwantandwhy have you ever got a job from a poor person??? Answer me.

  • @Trashfished Actually I have had several jobs from poor employers....

worked in construction my early teenage years 13-16 in my uncles company

Worked as a bus boy in a local restaurant

most of my time now goes into studies (college) and volunteer work now though

  • @whatdoyouwantandwhy LOL!! work FROM poor people! I would never want to live in a country where I could not be rich if I had the drive, talent , and skills. socialism has never worked, It has always turned the middle class into serfs. My boss is rich(thank God) If I had more drive I may be too. Good luck in your studies and reject anything that smacks of socialism.

  • @Trashfished

Ah yeah work from poor people.... thats what I gave you.....

Second, you are clearly ignorant on what socialism is based on that last comment.

America during it's 40s-70s was at it's golden age (in terms of economic status) web it was at it's most socialist form. Today as we are now severely deregulating our nation we are in a state of collapse.

The EU even during this recession is much much better off then America right now, and trumps us at just about every category.....

  • @whatdoyouwantandwhy Socialism appeals to bottom feeders , period. Greece, spain. portugal are on the verge of meltdown. You do not stregnthen the weak by weakening the strong. Great britain tried it and is now reversing the trend, because it was not working.

  • @Trashfished Socialism appeals to the many, and is hated by the few.

This is why ever modern nation has gone in that direction. However since then the top 1% have bought their way back into the forefront, and this financial collapse is proof of this corruption.

Socialism occurs when the gov't paves roads, builds schools, maintains social security, medicare, medicate, clean water, safe food, clean air, justice system, suffrage rights, civil rights, and so on....

    Greece was one of the...

  • @whatdoyouwantandwhy Oh cmon, Government doesnt do anything efficiantely They bankrupted Medicare, social security. postal system is a joke. I want the gov. out of my business and my employers business. I dont have this "welfare" mentality that too many of you young people do. Have you never heard of "Rugged Individualism"???

  • @Trashfished First off that is bad propaganda.

Medicare and social security are not bankrupt and in fact continue to hold billions in surpluses every year.

In fact after china, and income taxes social security is the third highest source of income for the government(which should be illegal in my opinion). The government continually sucks up the revenue from social security to pay for debts such as the wars we are in right now.

  • @whatdoyouwantandwhy LOL!!! Completely bankrupted! You are a fool, the baby boomers are retired and you or I pwont see any of the money we have paid in. Right now printers are printing majic pixie money coming right out of Tim Gietners ass. Hey I hope in your studies you take an economics 101 class pal cuz you sure need it.!!

  • @Trashfished I actually got an A on my economic class....

Social security has a surplus as it will for the next 30-40 years.

Even at what it's worth now it will still pay at 80% till about 2030.

  • @Trashfished European countries that had few regulations concerning finance, and this is proof, their government is even more corrupt then ours(and thats saying something)

Spain, as well as Ireland are other countries that used little regulations to help bring business to their door step, and are suffering now as we are. EU is doing much better then America as a whole, and this is because of their protective laws that helped cushion the blow from this recession.

  • @whatdoyouwantandwhy So you look to the Government as your meal ticket eh?! Oh but I see now you get your info from M.T.V. and jon stewart!!

  • @Trashfished Nope I actually read, and educate myself. NO TV rots your brain especially from MTV, FOX, CNN, BET and all hose other comedy channels.

What you should do is go pick up communist manifesto by Karl Marx and compare it to the New Testament and Jesus

    Pretty similar stuff....

  • @whatdoyouwantandwhy WTF?? are you nutty? Ive read both. I reject marx and accept Jesus. I suggest you do the same young buck.

  • @Trashfished

Nope, but if you accept Jesus, then you would surely accept Karl Marx as a brilliant man, that is if you really did read his books

    Communist Manifesto

    Des Kapital

    Poverty of Philosophy

    and so on....

I'm not saying everything he says you would like (such as religious views since he was agnostic) but the core principle is exactly what Jesus said, and exactly what Jesus did.

In fact I would say Jesus took it even further then Karl Marx.

  • @whatdoyouwantandwhy Be carefull what you wish for. Reagan slashed the top marginal tax rate from 70% to 28% and the economy took off and steamrolled us out of the Carter recession. I lived thru it. The Carter years were much worse than this recession. believe me. If you really believe S.S. has a surplus then you have bought the bullshit and drank the koolade pal. Good luck to you in the future as you bottomfeed your way thru life.

  • @Trash Reagan's administration was the beginning of this countries spiral down hill. He was the first to deregulate which as you pointed out made business boom, but in the long run also allowed for the huge recessions. The huge recession we had during the 80s and now this one that dwarfs all since the great depression(also a consequence of deregulations).

Or maybe it's the other way around(koolaid).

  • @whatdoyouwantandwhy WOW! You sure are assbackwards in your thinking pal . It is kind of ironic tho. I got mine. Im 50 and am untouchable in many of my assets. You however are looking to the Gov. for a handout basically and to manage your affairs for you.!LOL!! Like I said good luck. Ive no more time for a weakass minded liberal such as youself. Good day to ya.

  • @Trashfished

So I'm backwards for being pro-freedom?

    Okay, I see....

Your 50, and you're not untouchable my friend, you are ignorant of todays situation, and you may never see the light, but I hope you do before it's to late.

Today we continue Reagan economic policies and America is now a shadow of it's former self. I give it a decade or two before we actually collapse in all honestly (unless we turn around from our mess).

But as your ignorance blocks the truth you may never see the truth.

  • @whatdoyouwantandwhy Hey young buck. You look to Marx for fiscal responsibility!!LOL!! Your pro freedom??!! Then it would seem you would want the Gov. out of yours and your employers affairs then. Let the free market do its job. Gov. does nothing but stop the free flow of commerce.

  • @Trashfished I thought you accepted Jesus? If I recall, Jesus spoke ill about those who chased after money.

He also spoke about redistribution of wealth from the rich to the poor.

Anyways, back to economics, Free market capitalism doesn't work because capitalism inherently creates greedy people, who take advantage of the lack of rules. This often leads to a few who control the market, and the rest who are forced to abide by the rich terms.

    In effect people loose freedom

  • @Trashfished This is why we evolved as a society to create socialist ideas that protect the common folk from the aristocrats.

Now that you have clearly stated you are for the few aristocrats and against the many common citizens you have stated you are against freedom.

Because you rather accept policy that degenerates the majority of the population.

  • @whatdoyouwantandwhy Evolving into socialism has NEVER worked any time its been tried. Look at the former east and west Germany. nuff said. Obviousely you never heard of the concept of "rugged Individualism" . But then again your feminine side dont want to hear that!LOL!

  • @Trashfished Ever been to Mexico? great country they have plenty of "rugged individualism" you should visit sometime...

Anyways, I'm assuming you never heard of the New Deal? You know the socialist policy that made America the greatest nation on Earth. The policy used right after that "rugged individualism" was used/failed during the roaring 20s/black thursday.

Also, if you ever do get to go to Germany today, you will discover that socialism is AWESOME!!!

  • @Trashfished As for my "feminine side" Well lets just say it make your "rugged" side look rather well you know....

    Have you ever heard of:

    Medicare

    Medicate

    Social Security

    Public School

    VA

    Road/Highway services

and many more are all SOCIALISM!!!

  • @whatdoyouwantandwhy Agreed. Think of the Military which is the best example of cradle to grave socialism I know of. Great career for some folks as long as the oil wars do not expand.

  • @sgtcrab1 Actually, what you have described is more geared toward fascism then socialism.

Thought they can appear similar, they are two different methods.

  • @Trashfished You really need to get out more. Almost every Europen nation is social democratic. Take a trip please! Rugged individualism indeed. Devil take the hindmost is more like it!

  • @sgtcrab1 just cuz your mentality is one of a Bottom feeder, dont think the rest of us are weak as you obviousely are.

  • @whatdoyouwantandwhy

I was pretty young during Reagan, so what did america have before? During Reagan I had a young baby and it was all I could do to keep a roof overhead and the gov. off our back. I read that when Nixon took us off the gold standard, thats what caused this mess. I know the young today have it even worse in the Job market.

  • @wolftreetree I am a 90s baby, so I wasn't born then. However, During this period for America 30s-80s America had the smallest gap in income and wealth between the middle class and rich. Once Reagan entered office and deregulated much of the safety nets, this gap between the middle class and rich started to grow, thus making the poor poorer and the rich richer.

Today, with the continuation of this ideology, we are now discussing the end of labor rights, and the defunding of education.

  • @wolftreetree It is pretty safe to say we have sowed to seeds for the end of Americas continuation as a global power.

It is really a sad thing to think how corrupt and regressed our country has become, where my generation and the ones after me will have to fight for things my grandparents fought for...

  • @wolftreetree It is pretty safe to say we have sowed the seeds for the end of Americas continuation as a global power.

It is really a sad thing to think how corrupt and regressed our country has become, where my generation and the ones after me will have to fight for things my grandparents fought for...

  • @Trashfished Deregulations are good for profits which is why corporations like that and boom, but it also gives them power to abuse their workers and the people who interact with them. It also leads to boom/bust economies which is what we have now.

In short deregulating governments in order for corporations to create more profits is like giving a kid 10 dollars to save for college before taking him to a candy shop.

A short term gain can/does have long term impacts that hurt the vast majority.

  • @Trashfished

Actually to strengthen the weak, you must indeed weaken the strong, as history has shown time and time again.

America being the best example, went from being a held under a feudalist monarchy with few powerful people in control, into a democratic republic with many people in power over the government.

I can assure you Great Britain isn't regressing as a government.

  • @Trashfished

From wages, education, freedom, standard of living, voting percentage, healthcare, and the list keeps on going.

This being said EU is a very socialist confederation of nations.

Socialism isn't a bad thing, and I want to say sorry if I offend you with these comments, but it is the truth.

  • it because our fukin currupt ass gov

  • You haven't seen poverty in America. Go to central Guatemala. The mayans are living in dumps. If you have a cement floor in Guatemala you're considered filthy rich. I'm going back this summer on a medical mission.

  • I'm totally against poverty.. but I would say the American government with it's welfare programs are only keeping our poor in the hole. Also, the way America spends it's money is a poor poor example to the people. We're in debt up to our eyeballs. The American dream says you have to have this because everyone else does. The American dream is a rat race. Instead of simply living, we are in constant pursuit of "stuff"

  • i don't see american children

  • this was an amazing video! it very eye opening!!! thanks for putting this on youtube!!!

  • Heartbreaking stuff. I was just in Africa where I made a 2 minute video about a young mother struggling to feed her family. She and her husband try to grow enough food to eat but it is no where near enough. If you want to hear her story please search on YouTube for Face of Hunger.

  • Don't bring up Bill Gates. He founded the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which he put alot of his wealth into. Same with Warren Buffet. The average upper middle-class American is the one you should be disappointed in.

  • @JNeel798 America have the biggest companies over all in the world. But every one of these companies rule the world with blood on their hands.

  • Hunger is rooted in poverty. Parents earning low wages struggle to make ends meet and feed their children.

  • i feel sad for this poor peoples not like american who talk shit about the problems that asian countries.facing .....sorry to say but most of the american are arrogant and racist about others ,but we cant say all country is same ,there are few peoples who are like that.

  • the beginning says over 10% of the US live in poverty. the truth is its much much higher than that.

  • Xxxxxxxbroke

Now spend the next few years learning something.

  • whats the name of the beginnig music???

  • America is the richest nation in history, yet we now have the highest poverty rate in the industrialized world with an unprecedented amount of Americans living in dire straights and over 50 million citizens already living in poverty.

    Shameful.

  • There is no point in arguing with idiots who think that people living in poverty are having fun or "milking" the "system"

  • @HaveAGingerAle Well since I can say I lived this shit first hand, most of them are playing the system. How many times have you been to the free food spots in major cities? Mostly pathetic scumbags abusing the system. It works both ways. Sorry but I can not raise the youth the right way all by myself. How long have you been homeless? I lived on the streets for 2 years living in a tent behind a store in the 10th largest city in America. Trust me out of the 10% about 7%(my opinion) choose it.I did

  • If u look down 3 comments from this one u will see another of mine with a (-4)

I am not sure if I got (-4) for saying poor people in America are FAT or if I got the (-4) for quoting that the top 25% of income earners pay 87% of the taxes collected while the bottom50% only pay in 3% of the taxes collected

GET IT poor people r sucking the country dry, while giving nothing back & the whole while complaining that the rich people who pay all the taxes are taking advantage of the poor people

  • Once again there you go AGAIN! Using facts then adding bull shit to it! Stop because it makes no fucking sense other then you are confusing the minds of people who are trying to learn! Stop polluting peoples minds already... Go get a real life?

  • Religion can undoubtedly be considered responsible for overpopulation which leads to poverty.....

    Be fruitful and multiply??

Think about the god damn future before doing something stupid that will hurt future generations..

  • most of these pics are not the USA.

  • Your bogus. Please go learn some facts that are actually true. Not EVERYONE in poverty milks the system. I just researched poverty for 2 weeks straight. Go look up Poverty line, Femenization of poverty, and go look up the different kinds of poverty. Learn more about poverty before you start talking idiotic stuff.

  • hey bozo xxbroken

I just told you the fact

POOR people in America are any people who are in the bottom 14% of the income earners.

Makes no difference how much that is just as long as it is the bottom 14%

    it changes each year

They are still FAT, still don't pay any taxes, still have i pod, i phones, i touch, i welfare and most of the picture on this video are not of Americans and most are not taken in America

You wouldn't know a poor person if you stumbled over them

  • Actually umm I'm pretty damn sure I would and oh WAIT I have ignorrant ass whipe! People like you are reason people dont know real facts! You use true facts then put false idiotic shit like you did! Congrats! So move out of mommy and daddys house stop using their money get a true edcation then talk to me okay?

  • The wisdom of ignorant people just amaze me.

  • @coolrayfruge how so

  • @xdeadlyxkillax It was a joke.

Toward thoses who say these people choose to live in poverty.

  • @coolrayfruge to right

  • @coolrayfruge You have a subject-verb agreement error: The wisdom... amazes[sic]. Wisdom is your subject and is a collective singularity. I'm going to have to subtract two points for the grammar error.

    Sincerely yours,

    Poor by Choice

    (now who's ignorant, be-otch!?!)

I give the vid an A because they listed ways to help, although I'm sure my friends and family are aware of poverty and have made the life-choice to turn a blind eye.

  • @tomblack2112 If your Poor by choice!

    I'd have to say you!

  • these kids aint american! wtf

  • I grew up in poverty. My mother raised 4 kids on her own, I was the youngest. She had no education, and we could barely afford food, let alone housing. I am now in school to get my Master's degree in teaching, along with my multiple subject credential. After that, I am getting my Doctorate in education administration. This is America- anything is possible here if you put effort into it.

  • congratulations!! :-) I'm happy for your achievements

  • @MissDtheoneandonly- Keep working hard. You can do it. The most important thing is to NEVER get outworked.

  • congratulations!

  • Most of these kids are not American. We need to take care of our own american born people. If you cannot afford kids, then do not have them. Why do we as tax-paying Americans have to take care of your children that you cannot afford? The poor women can get free birth control. Your children, that you cannot afford, is not my problem. GMAC Credit said I could not get a car to get me to work. I have a job and pay my taxes. Who is wrong here? It is not me. Everyone who has a clue agrees with me.

  • @Kurki yea thats what im saying, i agree with you lol

  • @Kurki the only people I can understand being poor are those in Appalachia since their actually physically isolated from the rest of the nation and jobs

everyone else needs to get off their asses and get a job, and alot of those pics are illegals, which we should ship back.

  • You're terrible.

This is the failure of modern capitalism.

  • How ignorant!

    Will you hire them?

  • I totally agree with poverty awareness, but I'm sorry I gotta interject here....

You need to do your research on Bill Gates before you simply label him as an emblem of ignorance to poverty. He has donated BILLIONS of his own funds to fighting poverty and emboldening humanitarian aid - more progress to humanity than you will *ever* achieve.

If you want to go after ignorant wealth, go after the Arab oil princes or American celebrities who lavishly waste their money to PORTRAY their wealth.

  • Someone answer this for me.We spend 515 billion dollars a year on the military and we have one of the largest nuclear arsenals in the world.

Why do we need a large military when we have nuclear weapons as a deterrent.I mean why are we building bases all over the world.I swear this country is being used for someone elses gain.

  • because USA wants to keep the image of their superiority, they are generous giving aids to other countries but unable to give its own people.

.. "before you clean someone else's backyard, clean your own first..."

  • Make that over 620 billion a year.

  • I definately agree that there's a poverty problem in the USA but why would you show Bill Gates in the Video? He's one of the few that gives millions every year for charity. He's very rich that's true, but he really cares. I don't think that's right.

  • because bill gates is an example of an "American Dream" and he earns money approximately 500 dollars per second, that is what people sees, they don't see what is given all they see is what have been taken.

  • It is so super sad to read some these comments . Food is the problem how many times have you sat at the table ate half of whats on your plate and thrown the rest away ??.It dont mater if its in the usa or not we should all help each other out in times of need what happend to the love for one another ?

  • food is not the problem, there are too many people

  • The reason you seem to think that your healthcare system is so great is because it piggy backs off of the USA and their NON-socialist healthcare system which spends the money it takes to develop technology and medications that you in turn get from your socialized public system. If we go socialist, everyone in the world can say bye bye to good health care.

  • I am not anti US btw - opposite - but stupid thing about US is that 20% of your population live like they are living in a developing country (that's not the stupid part) and your government does little to help them as helping then, raising their living standards, giving them access to health care is seem as socialism which to Americans = communism = evil. Therefore helping poor people have a better life = evil. Stupid!!!!! In W Europe we try to raise the living standard of poorest more.

  • 97% of the world is poor........................

  • Hahah! some of those images aren't even in the US. Poverty is a choice especially in the US all goes well with the rest of the world. Although some 3rd countries would have difficulty on this.

  • that's right i love america land of the free, i love USA best country on this planet ! in USA we have Bernard Madoff ! we are free we pay the Tax, and we have the best military budget on this planet we spend $515.4 billion and that was only from 2005 ~ great and we have out friend china to buy our debt ! its so great being from USA i'm hated everywhere !

  • we should help american citizens but if they are illegals they should leave

  • stealth423, how can you say that when you are of the same kind the illegal from ex europa :O

  • The conditions for people at the bottom of the economic ladder in America are terrible! One in five children is born in poverty. There are millions of homeless people, constantly on the move in our major cities. There are 45 to 50 Million Americans with No Health Care (Not even Basic). There is long term structural, secular unemployment. This means that in many states, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, the unemployment rate goes up to 10 or 15 percent, and then STAYS THAT WAY FOR YEARS. It's terrible!

  • Get involved in world Poverty sad vid does it`s job

    thanks for uploading it

    Kevin Phoenix

  • you won't end poverty by hating "rich people" and watching propaganda videos with exaggerated statistics. Many cases of poverty are unfair, but not caused by "the rich." Most poverty is caused by politicians and their socialist programs that remove money from the economy through over-taxation, and remove the incentive to work, innovate, and invest. If you want to end poverty, educate yourself about economics (start by reading T. Sowell's "Basic Economics") and quit voting for socialists.

  • Give us a break! America is not even three centuries old. She is still a baby nation compared to Europe, Africa, and Asia.

  • So many are proud to walk around with a lot of money and don't even consider helping one in need and if they do they give them a dollar if not less...

  • I cant help because I'm one of them.I cant even help myself.Every day is a kick in the nuts.

  • we have to be honest within ourselves. for those who has something to give-give freely without reservation. for those who are in need think about what you can do to create development even in a small scale then if you cannot make it, that is the time to seek for a help. Someone who understand the necessity of their brethren must voluntarily share something they feel it has to be shared. most important among all issues learn to keep your mind pure and Godly. God Bless the World....

  • An embarrassement for the "most powerful nation in the world". You can't even provide homes for 20% of your kids. Don't wait for the rich. They are not rich because of their responsiblity towards society, but the opposite. Its your own fault. You ppl think that the wealth of a person can be measured by its belongings. A disgrace. And whats happening now is what you've deserved. Face it. Its not the immigrants, its not the rest of the world. Its you and your greed.

  • we should be more like france if u need help with anything they do it for only a few dollars. A lot of famous rich ppl give money to poor places.. like bill gates and bradgelina

  • I wasn´t in america yet, by i saw many videos and read much in the internet about poverty in the usa in inner cities, some suburbs and rural areas ... i´m sure, that live for the poorest people is much harder than in germany (where i live), and most other countries in the european union
