Difference is jay is a lil bit more lyrical and he stepped up from gangsta rap to a more pop clean sound.
50's past is a lil bit darker and he came up later in the rap game because he's later. Still ... 50's vocabulary is more limited and he relies more on story telling and violent rhymes
