  • Happy memories...

  • R.I.P. Robbie France \m/

  • not that it matters but the lead singer has to be gay.love this band

  • A great LP!

  • @0:58 no wonder why the bassist always hides his face behind his hair xD

  • Comment removed

  • i went to see them at hte marquee in london they was brill even sean kissed my hand

  • Call me . babyyyyy caaaaaaall meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-(

  • They were a good band...but being compared to Robert Plant went to his head! I know people who supported them years ago and they were about the biggest big headed people you could come across.

  • Diamond head is cool!! I'm 16 and I like them wish they had more success but hey I think they weren't as open to the public.....haha I love weed!!!!

  • Diamondhead make a comeback

  • there is no comparison between these guys and metallica.

  • this was so good it;s stood the test of time , bloody good singer wasn;t he?

  • The first rock band U ever saw live, supported by Silverwing at the Free Trade Hall, Manchester. I bought the White album and got it signed. Saw them another 4 times and met them again twice. Sean Harris was a revelation and rightly compared to Robert Plant for vocal ability.

  • sounds good...

  • @viktorhat megadeth as well

  • Awesome voice, these guys must' have learned from Earth and co. Please don't think I'm picking on these guys, but Diamond Head were at another level at their time.

  • Oh, and me and my mates went to see them in a tiny bar in Preston in 1980 or 1981. The buggers didn't turn up!

  • I've got the 7" single of this knocking about somewhere. I think it was an EP with 3 songs on it. I remember when they first appeared on the scene and I think it was Sounds paper who reviewed their first album and said that each song on it had more guitar riffs than the first four Led Zeppelin albums!

  • @rockandroll63

no man..it was more riffs than the first four sabbath albums

    cheers!

  • @touaregk Was it? Well remembered my man!

  • HOT voice!

  • @protodoom he looks like prez hilton

  • fuckin awsome

  • When I see awful NU Metal, teenybopper pop, and watered down drivel like Nickelback having success today..it upsets me because bands such as Diamond Head and Riot were much more talented in every conceivable way. Just a real shame!

  • This band made three wonderful albums and were one of the most innovative and original hard rock bands of the "NWOBHM". To this day, I can't understand why they did not become one of the biggest "rock" bands ever. Lack of marketing and bad management I assume. The same could be said for the American band "Riot" too.

  • @MetalheadJay78 absolutely. i always think that Riot are an american version of diamondhead. both bands are constanly played on my turntable! amen to both bands!

  • @MetalheadJay78 Diamond head and Riot are both brilliant, both bands DESERVED more attention!

  • perfect

  • Best gig ever, Diamond Head at Glasgow apollo 1982, came back on after house lights went on.. been bench mark ever since but no band ever bettered them, love em to bits!! Wheres Duncan and Colin? Sorely missed!!

  • VERY GOOD

  • i was lucky to see these guys twice. i still have the autographed program ( well it was important at the time! ) love this song and the whole album didnt contain a single bad track. they never got better than this.

  • rob halford - lead guitars!

  • i luv it im young again .....!

  • They were miles ahead ... inspiring all metal/glam bands throghout the world...

  • I love it ♥ That band have a fuckin' great mussssic and style!! :D yeahhh!! forever Diamond heads :D

  • Diamond Head Rocks!!!

  • Gran grupo, y poco reconocido.

  • i saw this group at the marquee in the 80's first gig i went to

  • This was the first Diamond head song I heard. It will probably remain my favourite . I don'T care if it was "commercial", who gives a damn?

I love how the guitar is distant-mic'ed, it sounds s good. And Brian Tatler does the Jimmy Page move pretty good! (2: 24)

  • is there a heavy metal music channel in the usa?

  • no you guys are cooler than us.

  • tatler kinda looks like jerry cantrell here

  • Comment removed

  • so...why the fuck do they NEVER play this on vh1classic anymore?

  • im asking the same question man VH1 sucks balls now

  • such an amazing band.....too bad they didn't get more attention

  • DH's finest hour. Saw them perform this last year in Nottingham and they were fantastic as always. The boys are brilliant, then and now. Tatler's still got it, and hes the friendlist man ever (they all are for that matter) :D Thanks for posting this, enjoyed it :)

  • 1 of my all time fav !!!!!!

  • this song means a lot to me.i've been in a long distance realationship for 8 years and i wouldnt trade my honey for anything in the world.well anyways, crossing the borders,we've had problems, and it's stressful anyways sometimes,i remember besides being detained, the power even went out before and we're just both waiting for eachother to call. this song is personal to me. no to mention it's a pretty grat fuckin song. i need me some more diamond head in my life!haha!

  • shit,i came out soubndin' kinda dumb.disregard it.

  • it's sounds like Rainbow

  • is he asking his baby to call him on the telephone? or asking people to call him "baby". i always thought on that when i heard the chorus, sad i know! haha

  • He asking his girlfriend to call him on the telephone...

  • The guitar player looks like James Heitfeild in his early years

  • James Hetfield looks like Brian Tatler not the other way around.

  • What a tune excellent !!!!!!!!

  • very underrated band of all time...vocals and guitars are great.....

  • why dont they play this stuff on vh1 classic anymore?

  • i dont kno man it makes me pissed cus i watch that at night alot and get sick of seein shit like queenschyre and white lion

  • i'll fuckin second that. i mean, fuckin summer time girls??? c;mon, THAT AINT METAL!

i guess im refering more to metal mania, but still,my point stands. i havent watched it in a year or so,so maby it's gotten better? i dont know. but it was pretty repetitive when i used to catch it.

  • oh man it hasnt really gotten better sometimes youll see bon jovi and shit and the only good songs they play they play em like daily like every time i watch it i see megadeth sweating bullets and this scorpions song

  • I've been noticing that VH1 Classic's Metal Mania plays more stuff like Bon Jovi, Poison and Whitesnake and not the really obscure stuff like this

  • hell yeah

  • Classic NWOBHM !!!

    Thanks for the upload man.

  • I agree...

It looks like this video was taken from a fucking nazi channel!

    What a pity...

    Rock ain't dead!!!

  • The SS comes from the KISS logo. Nothing to do with nazism.

  • rock on!

  • This song is a tube!

  • diamond head fan club the only one i ever joined..brilliant band. t.shirt a wee bit too small though!

  • tee shirt is a wee bit flaming I'd say :P

  • rob halford on led guitar jajajaj

  • Damn!! That does look like Halford... Sad Wings of Destiny era!!

  • from dance to metal

i Ive noticed that..some people listen to metal in their teens as a causality and then when they grow up a lil bit they completely fed up of it and totally forget it and they don't listen even once a year

i don't think that metal is very silly to be for teens and children.

  • Is it just me, or does the Bassist look like the singer from Budgie?

  • Well, when I first saw them, my mate who recommended them to me, said that the previous year, they were supporting Budgie. So maybe.

  • Diamond head kicks Budgies ass tho!

  • diamond head...underrated great band...i discovered some long time ago but i now undertsand the "importance" they had in NWOBHM...DH STILL FUCKIN' RULES!!!

  • Who said diamond head is glam is a complete idot... I mean how imbecile can you be saying diamond head is glam?!THEY ARE NWOBHM!

  • I was very much into metal and I found this record at a old lady's thrift shop and I loved it so very much I played it religiosly and always wondered what the previous owner of the record was like but I was sooo glad I was the one to find it and in the days before internet I always wondered what happened to this band...then later on I got into dance music and ended up selling this record along with a lot of my other metal vinyls GREAT MEMORIES I feel thirteen again!

  • WHYYYYY, you could of gave them to me! Thats if you knew me, haha. Thats a pretty crazy change, Metal to dance music. But hey it took a few Genres when I was young to find Metal as my favorite. Believe it or not when I was young I use to like Oldies and slow music, thank God I looked through my parents Cds a while back. I think I was about 14 or 13 when I first heard The number of the Beast album, since then Metal was like a drug, I later bought a guitar!

  • Actually I still see the guy I sold it to around and I think he's moved on from vinyl and might have my diamond heads in storage I had this one and I also had Diamond Head's behold the beginning on vinyl

  • strange growing way...i wont never sell the music i really love!!!and i really play...

  • Same here, I guess it has to do with short attention span or something, Metal/Rock music is my life! haha.

  • man I wish there were tabs for this.. I've searched whole net, but found nothin. This song's just great and this solo... mmm

  • i walked in expecting to hear a cover of blondie's "call me", but got treated to something totally different.

  • Brilliant

  • fucking genius !

  • wow have not heard this song in years would not have rememberd alot of songs if it was not for vh1 classic metal mania

  • very good!!!

  • awesome music but the leadsinger looks a little flaming

  • he's not gay he has kids and all

  • 80`s lead singers looked flaming.:P

  • robert plant looked flaming, the motley crue and so on,it's glam metall ,it's meant to look feminine.

  • diamond head aint glam

  • well led zeppelin wasn't glam either,i was trying to prove a point ,it doesn't matter how girlie you look as long as you got talent.call me is a little glam in my opinion, but diamond head all together equals new wave of heavy metal

  • Very goooooood!!!!!!!!

  • A classic rock band

  • Brilliant band, seen them twice and both times they were excellent.

Have some of the videos i took at the gigs posted, check my profile.

  • i put this song everytime :(

  • grant it they are Metallica's biggest influence, but Diamond Head (along with Annihilator, & Metal Church) are 1 of the most underated metal bands

  • this is true

  • along with Angel Witch

  • I love DH!!! Where is Shane, Brian? Dammit!!! :/

  • AWESOME!!! PLAY IT LOUD!

  • awsome
