@TheHongoBros It's not that simple. The sprites are stored in a compressed format, so even if you found where in the ROM they are, they'd be all jumbled and near impossible to figure out.

Koolboyman (famous for the hack Pokemon Brown) recently told me that for his hacks, he found the compression so difficult to work with that he went and just wrote a new graphics engine for it. If you know how to do that, go for it; but that's way out of my knowledge.

@FattyMcFatfatty89 Lots of people have. You can replace one Sprite with any other sprite you want using a special tool in Visual Boy Advance. It's still not actually Lugia.

I've been wondering, I'm trying to make a slight hack of Pokemon Red Version. What tools do I need to change the in-battle sprites of the Pokemon (both front and back views)? What I'm aiming to do is to switch the Pokemon Red sprites with Pokemon Green sprites. Hope you can get back to me on this. :)

I just changed the sprite, name, and moveset.

I figured hacking the stats would be a little silly, since you'd hardly be able to tell if they were the same or not anyway.
