  • He's adorable! I have two parakeets, and they loved your video of Frostie dancing! I showed it to them, and they chirped the whole time xD

  • @therandomvisitor1 Thank you! My birds like that song too!

  • Aw, he's so happy!!

  • @greyghost84 He looked so beautiful all fluffy like that. He was lifting all his feathers so the air would get in and finish drying them.

  • Your bird is so adorable! I can barely stand it!

  • @ikimonogakari2 Thank you!

  • i just want to hug him

  • @eageleye123456 Frostie sends you a little birdie kiss!

  • He is soo cute :D

  • @LittelKittyCatty Thanks! I think he's cute too most of the time. But just like kids, he can be really irritating at times.

  • Oh, I'm insanely jealous of ALL of your birds. They are all great.

  • @PartAwesome I am fortunate enough to have met Ted Watson many years ago who so generously gave me Gracie, Corkie and Avis. Otherwise I wouldn't have them as I couldn't afford to buy them. I paid Frostie's babysitting fee to buy him. (A lady had Ted babysit him for two years.) Thanks for your comment.

  • Cutest bird ever! :) Love Frostie's videos!

  • @pitts003 Thank you!

  • ive been wondering.... what kind of cockatoo is he?

  • @emilylol7 Frostie is a 21-year-old bare eyed cockatoo, aka little corella, a parrot native to Australia.

  • After playing this video over and over for my parakeets, Lucy and Kirby started bobbing their heads up and down!!! SO CUTE!

  • @cb3girls Really? How cute! Thanks for sharing. :-)

  • We want to see Whip Yo Hair with him. Why not repost yourself???

  • Frostie is so beautiful in this video! He looks like a wise philosopher! Amazing to know that he has 21 years, and is so active. I hope he lives till 100! I love that Frostie sweety! You deserve to have a friendship so blessed like this, you give so much love one another, God made a fine choice putting you guys together! OH Yea!! :-)

Congratulations Karla, for the beautiful selection of music for your videos. Wonderful music!

  • Beautiful video of Frostie - he looks so cuddly and fluffy. I just found this video - glad that I did.

  • I know nothing about cockatoos, and I'm wondering about the blue under and around his eyes. Is it skin or tiny feathers?

  • @gmastraub It's skin. If you go to Frostie The Dancing Cockatoo on Facebook there is a very large photo of Frostie's "face" and you can see his eyes really good.

  • @OnePickieChickie ...well*

  • I am certainly a Frostie Fan! I watch the dancing videos all the time, play them for friends...lol. Such a gorgeous and talented bird. You rock, Frostie!!

  • @whatanightmare1 Thank you for taking the time to comment. Frostie looked so gorgeous this day! )I put him in the bathtub where I gave him a good bath, put him on his dancing perch for a good blow dry then let him sit out in the fresh air.) I love t his video! I'm surprised it doesn't have more views, quite frankly.

  • @OnePickieChickie Karla, I know! I love the Philharmonic playing, and Frostie just enjoying the sun and air...I was suprised more people haven't watched this one, too.

I would just love to reach out and touch him, he looks so cuddly and soft! You have done a great job with him :~)

  • He's happy & content when his feathers are poofy. Esp when the little feathers near his beak go toward the end of his beak. Extra happy then. I know i have a bare eyed too. Awwww too cute.

  • @2Ryled He'd had a nice bath in the bath tub and a good blow dry. I love this video! His feathers around his nostrils and beak look so cute!

  • i looooooove when birds turn puffy and shake :'D

  • @xmuzicfreakzx Isn't that cute? He does it really cute in Frostie Teaches Avis To Dance and I think Boogie Shoes too.

  • What a beautiful bird. What are the blue parts under his eyes called?

  • @birdlover811 I don't know. They call Frostie a Little Corella in Australia. In the USA we call him a Bare Eyed Cockatoo. That may be there in other cockatoo species but just covered up by feathers. I wish I had a way of finding out quickly but don't.

  • Holy cow, what a BEAUTIFUL bird!!

  • @GinnyisaPrincess Frostie looks much different when fluffed up than he does while he's dancing! He makes you want to hug him! If you watch "Hold On! I'm Coming!", there's a spot where he ruffles up and shakes his feathers and looks so cute!

  • What a lucky bird to have such doting people!

  • @MarthaH605 I love Frostie a lot!

  • toooooo cuteeee!!!!

  • @WISUatMac I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • ♥ He' s such a cutiiiie ♥

  • @antirass I love this video of him. He looks so cuddly.

  • Hey! this was on my birthday! i love frosite!

  • @SakuraiShoWife123 So while you were having your birthday, I was playing with Frostie outside. Sweet!

  • he's so sweet...

  • @criceto2009 Yes, he is.

  • thats a corella lol

  • @christ0n Yes, he is. In the USA we call them Bare Eyed Cockatoos! Lol!

  • @OnePickieChickie - He is a gorgeous bird,

  • @christ0n And a corella is a member of the cockatoo family. In the USA, we call them bare eyed cockatoos. Isn't that a riot?

  • What song is this and what camera?

  • @GriffinPets Canon PowerShot S5 IS in movie mode. The song was a YouTube AudioSwap and the details are available under the video if you click on the right button. I can't tell you while in the answer mode.

  • I could just cuddle him!!

  • my bird says mama(what they call me),titi(my sis) and buela (my mom). they also lovesaying yes and no.

  • @labirdable How sweet! What kind of a bird do you have?

  • @OnePickieChickie 2 zebra finches and 2 society finches

    i love em :3

  • thanks!

  • Great Work!

PS. What VideoCamera did u used?

    Thanks!

  • @vide00210 It's a digital camera with a video mode: Canon S5 IS. (Not L but I as in i) Paste that into an images dot Google search and it will come right up.

  • i have a bird like that that says hello laughs and other stuff, very smart birds

  • Frostie doesn't talk much. He says, Karla, Pretty Bird, hello, hey, hi and that's about it!

  • thats a very beautiful you have there.

can't he fly away if he sit there outside?

    5 stars for your video:)

  • @BuschTukkerMan At the time, his flight feathers were trimmed to prevent him from flying up in a tree, although he could fly low to the ground.

  • Frostie is absolutely gorgeous :)

  • @hummingbirdlover Isn't he? I love this video! I had just given him a thorough bath in the tub, dried him with a hair drier than took him outside where he kept his feathers fluffed out to allow more air in to thoroughly dry them. He looked so pretty!

  • I love the classical music, It was very relaxing and nice to watch! Thank you

  • @organiqueherbs Isn't that song lovely! It takes awhile using YouTube audio swap to pick out a song .......... but I knew right away this was the one. I like it too.

  • who couldnt love frostie! :D

  • I'm happy you watched this video!

  • Hes so puffy and cute! Lol! I love him!

  • He'd just had a bath in the bath tub and I'd dried him with the hair drier. If you like puffy and fluffy, watch "Frostie The Dancing Cockatoo: Acting Fierce" which is a excerpt from "Frostie The Dancing Cockatoo's Outdoor Adventure".

  • What a pretty bird. You must spend a lot of time with him.

  • I'm with him all day long most every day. His cage door is rarely closed and he likes to come sit on my shoulder or lap. But because Avis does too, and they don't get along very well, I have to alternate turns.

  • So adorable when she (?) puffs up !

  • Frostie is a 20-year old male Bare Eyed Cockatoo aka Little Corella.

If you like him puffed up, watch "Dancing Frostie: Acting Fierce!" You'll LOVE that one!

  • so cute.

what´s the name of this music piece?

  • niice birdd, it's gorgeous, haha i adore the dancing ones man, my friend tinkerbell loves you:P

  • Tinkie Dinkie? I love her too! When I dance I think about her! ;-)

    Love, Dancing Frostie XOXOX

    Oh, I love you too!

  • I have to bathe my dogs in the yard by tying their leashes to a tree. They don't like it that much, but they know they'll get a treat afterward. Fortunately, they both have short hair, so they don't get too dirty and never have tangles or mats. How long have you had birds?

  • About 15 years. I have four: Corkie, Gracie, Avis and Frostie. They all have videos on my channel.

  • I'm back. Saber might bat at the screen if he saw a bird moving on it! I am impressed that you were able to bathe Frostie. Do you belong to the Seedcracker's Society, or is that only a local group? (I think they do bird rescue, shows, events like that).

  • No, I don't. Frostie doesn't really like a bath very much. But, it's necessary. I wait until I see him trying to take a bath in his water dish. This time I put him in the tub with about three inches of water and thoroughly soaked him because he was started to pluck on a feather that was bothering him. If you can get the skin area thoroughly soaked, it relieves the itching and helps the problem area heal.

  • I also used the blow drier on him before I took him outside. This was shot on March 4 and it wasn't chilly but it certainly wasn't a hot day.

  • Well, this is it. I don't know why my mom keeps watching videos of a white bird while I, a handsome white cat, am sitting on her lap, trying to groom her. She has to sign off now, or I will bite her some more! Saber (unofficial mascot of the erstwhile San Jose SaberCats)

  • Lol! Well Saber, if you'd quit licking your mom and pay attention to the video, you might figure it out! Lol!

Frostie looked so beautiful that day while he finished drying his down. That's why he was all puffy.

  • I Love You Frostie if i could I'd adopt you! Your the best most beautiful bird ever! Other then my Quipi and chip!

  • I love you too and wish I could give you a big kiss! Love, Frostie XOXOXOX

  • I AM HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE WITH YOUR BIRD!!! You may want to insure him...;-) Any word on when we may be seeing a "new" dancing video? I still think "Ring My Bell" or something by Rick James would be hilarious! I must commend you on how happy and healthy he looks. Sooo many birds pluck as a result of neglect and lack of stimulus. Cetainly Frostie is NOT suffering. If he were mine he would be smothered in kisses 24/7. I would cuddle with him ALL the time!!!!!! <3 u Frostie!

  • I'm happy to hear you are enjoying Frostie's videos so much. I have no idea when I will upload a new dance video. I own four parrots and one of them is a plucker: Avis. He was that way when he was given to me and no matter what I do, he plucks the moment he can't see me. He chews all the green off his body feathers so they are gray. If I go outside, any new green gets chewed off! He can usually always see me and I play with him constantly! All 4 of my parrots are free to wander around.

  • I cannot explain my fascination and adoration for this bird. He is incredibly docile and his demeanor displays obvious signs of considerable intelligence.

I'm surprised he hasn't taught himself how to use a telephone and doesn't call you at work to find out how your day is going.

Also, the music is really nice; I listen to classical music when I study or am trying to learn a new skill.

  • Thank you for your lovely comment. I don't work and he calls me all the time when I disappear from his sight! "Kaya! Kaya! Kaya! Huh! Kaya! Kaya!" (My name is Karla.) Frostie is not a talker, although 20 years old, but suddenly started saying, "Pretty Bird!", when he and I started getting to know each other, a phrase he picked up from one of the other parrots.

  • Frosty continues to impress, as does his soundtrack.

  • Thank you very much! Chosing a YouTube AudioSwap soundtrack isn't the easiest as most of the music is pretty strange! Probably 30 of the views were from me struggling to find one that I liked. So, your comment means a lot. Thanks.

  • Oh soo cute. I love to see this bird dancing! I LOL It's so intelligent! I love it!!

  • Thank you. I'm happy you found Frostie's YouTube channel!

  • WOW frostie is a beautiful bird i mean COOL

  • Isn't he beautiful? I had just given him a very thorough bath in the tub then a blow dry and he was so pretty!

  • Beautiful Bare Eye. I have bags under my eyes but they arent purple.

  • Me too! Lol! Those bags are really interesting, to say the least. If you go to MySpace and search for PickieChickie, I have some really close up photos of Frostie where you can see the veins in the bags. Thank you

  • Hey Frosties mom, went to your myspace but it is undergoing routine maitenance so i will check it out later. Barry, my Bare eye, has his own Myspace. Check it out by typing in "hellobarry". Keep the vodeos coming.

  • LOL Oh Karla! Don't be silly, we know how much you love him! His dancing perch is just a tiny part of your lives you share with us! We love Frostie, and YOU! :) Hugs dear one!! And this video is spectacular, Frostie looks absolutely REGAL all puffed up, and your accompainement musical selections have been Spot-on! You TWO make quite a team! Keep on keeping on!

Long live Frostie and Karla!! BRAVO!!

  • Thank you Valree. What a sweet comment you left. You made me feel really special this morning when I read it.

I love Frostie's total cuteness when he puffs up to air out his feathers!

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a sweet comment.

  • so sweet , frostie is the best!

  • I'm glad you enjoyed this. I didn't want people to think he didn't have a life other than on that dancing perch!

  • I love Frostie!! Keep the PickieChickie dancing.

    He is amazing.

  • What terrifically relaxing video, Frostie is a "therapy" bird!! Mahalo!

  • I'm happy you enjoy it!

  • He's gorgeous--can't take my eyes offa him! I love Frostie! what a glorious creature . . .

  • Have you watched "Frostie's Outdoor Adventure"? That's really cute!

  • He deserves the life of a Prima Donna.

    Does he enjoy Pavarotti?

    How is his Ballet?

Does he have a wall mirror and bar for the exercises?

  • Yes, he sure does! He hasn't heard Pavarotti and his ballet dancing can be described as awkward at best. About the closest he gets to that is in the "Frostie Dancing To The Butterfly Song"!

  • Does he have his wings clipped?

  • Yes. But, he can fly about 6 feet from the arm chair to my shoulder. He just can't get any height.

  • Thanks for sharing Frosties talent he is gorgeous! I enjoyed watching him enjoying the outdoors.

  • You are very welcome! Your comment makes me smile!

  • 0:32 FULL POWER!

  • I'd love to have a plush toy made of Frostie all poofie like that!

  • I think Frostie wasn't in his normal dancing mood but he look like he's liking it! Great caring skills for taking him out - nice video five-stars! ;D

  • He was interacting with Avis, not dancing. I've seen parakeets (budgies) do the same thing with the neck stuck out like he did. He was trying to be friends with Avis but Avis wasn't going for it!

  • How tall is Frostie?..Very sweet video of your wonderful talented bird.

  • From the top of his head to the tip of his tail he's about 13 inches.

  • did you have him from when he was very young

  • No, I just bought him on March 9, 2009. A couple had him for 18 years then the wife developed a life-threatening allergy to his dander so he was being baby-sat at a friends for two years. I fell in love with Frostie and spent a lot of time playing with him where he was being babysat. During that play time, I made the videos!

  • Great video and Frostie looks like he is enjoying it - but - that wire has got to hurt his feet. Can't you put a perch there for future.

  • Every time I put him on the ground, he would climb up that chicken wire fence even thought there were plenty of other options. It's not an issue anymore because I bought him and he no longer lives where that fence is!

  • Oh that's great you were able to purchase Frostie. He seems to be a great "TOO" and you a great "parront".

  • You know, I never saw a BE, that big and fluffy.

  • Although the sun was out and there was not a breeze, this video was shot on March 7 and it was a bit cool out. Plus, I'd just given him a thorough bath and blow dry so he was airing out his feathers I think! Lol! Watch "Frostie's Outdoor Adventure" and you'll see him really puff up! It's a very cute video!

  • WE GOT a misty mate mister. pump up the bottle, it sprays a very fine quiet mist. our cockatiel tweety LOVED it, fluffed up every feather until she looked like a giant dandelioin puffball!

  • Birds are so cute when they puff up, unless they are sick (of course)!

  • That was sweet, but what about the tubbath? Is Frosty shy?????

  • There's only been one time that I've seen Frostie try to take a bath in his water dish. I got him out and put him on his now famous perch and he spread his wings and just ate it up.

I've tried to give him baths before, especially when he was plucking, and he wouldn't go for that!

  • Poofing up much LOL

  • Poofs up much then tries to run away from home!

  • you are soooooooooooo lucky to have frosty ;)

  • Yes, I sure am! Don't let him fool you though! He has a few bad habits! Lol!

  • Ahh--that was just lovely!!! Thanks a million for sharing that with me!!!! 5*****

  • You are very welcome!

  • hey plzz right to me i might gete a african gray congo and i need tips so plz right send me a mesege plzzz

  • Try to get a baby that is totally weaned from handfeeding and is eating totally on it's own without suplimental handfeedings. Your best bet is to contact your local chamber of commerce to find the number of the bird club president or secretary in your county. If you buy directly from a reputable breeder, you will not only get a better price, you will be able to learn what you need to know from them. Because they have spent so much time with the bird, they will love it and will help you.

  • so lovely as my day to see this video! thank you!

  • I'm happy you enjoyed it! Also very charming is Frostie Acting Fierce!

  • What out for those hawks!!!!!

  • Absolutely! I scan the sky every time I am outside with any of the parrots. Thank you and please be assured I am very careful and am not out there drunk or high, but very alert to the situation!

Thanks for sharing the video !

  • You are so welcome!

  • frostie thinks to himself 'i am so perplexed by this classical music with no beat whatsoever and why arent there any other birds as great as me.. hmm.. what a shame that there is no one else as refined and as classy as my gifted self'

  • Frostie has to relax his beautiful body and keen mind on occasion!

  • you are hilarious! what a funny remark! sounds like you can read animals' minds . . .

  • Which funny remark? Lol! I'm lost!

  • oh, that comment was to darkelement8668

  • I get a online site called Avian Enrichment and Frosty was mentioned. It was about birds dancing and how do they do it. It has a link to Frosty's youtube video. Snowball was also mentioned.
