It actually was a restaurant in downtown Matawan, called Jerry Beyers. He played regularly on Friday nights. Sad to say, for all the times we stayed until closing time just to compliment him (again) about his music, he never let on that we were in the presence of such an accomplished musician.
Thank you for sharing this. Morris played in a small restaurant lounge in NJ years ago when my wife and I first met. We went every weekend just to hear him play. Have been trying for years to find some of his music. An extraordinary talent.
