While The Wheel of Life looks very impressive, it's hard to say that it should qualify as a boulder problem. It seems more like one of those problem/route hybrids. I would like to see how it would compare to cutting edge shorter power problems like Terremer, In search of time lost, the island etc.
Some people climb for a living, so no it's not that he's a tool, it's that he needs to make a living as well. If you think he's a tool, you should look at dave graham or chris sharma 2 of the biggest names in climbing who appear in tons of videos (personally I think Dai is better than Chris).
i think you missed the point in which i was getting at i think its cool that climbers make videos however its the context in which the video was made whenever you see sharma or graham in a video the last thing they talk about is the grade... sharma rarly even gives his problems a grade
exactly sometimes when i watch king lines and all of sharmas videos and stuff i wonder if he even like realizes how good he is. hes like o this is no biggy im just going to go climb jumbo love *yawn* it should be a fun day
when did Dai say he was better than everyone else? unless you speak Japanese...but you probably dont, then you are jumping to conclusions. FYI, he is better than just about everyone, remember that.
hes not saying hes a tool because hes in a video...hes saying the theme of the video claiming how hes so great and he repeated all these problems...in another video of dreamtime it claims how it only took him two days when it took Sharma 6.thats why hes a tool sharma and graham are humble they dont brag and boast neither do the videos they are featured in. this guy is a tool to rate your own problem V16 n then a year later some idiot nobody repeats it and now way this tool is better than Sharma!
@Dynosaur85 Agreed, this video is shocking, but Dai is not generally known for being arrogant. And "some idiot nobody"? I assume you're talking about Chris Webb, who is far from an idiot nobody. Check out his 8a.nu ranking at the moment.

@Kyler1478 9/10 times most pro climbers are very laid back and humble people. Great to hang out with.

@Dynosaur85 all he did was say he did it in two days, it's a well big achievement, i think he can be proud of it without being called a tool!
