Hey man so I have a question that might be dumb... at one part in the video where you had a caption up about doing a donut in 2wd but you wouldn't dare try it in 4wd... well, what would be the concern of doing one in 4wd?
@kurtnin42manson There was a ditch on the tree side, the trees were behind it. In the snow those tires like going straight on turns instead of turning lol.
How do you like your larger tires? Benefits over stock?
I was also wondering. Do you know what aftermarket will be available for the 6.2L boss engine that is going into the Raptor? Will it be difficult to get aftermarket exhausts and such?
@67STANGKID Not a stupid question at all. I always calculate and monitor my fuel mileage since this is my only vehicle. Since adding the wheels and tires, I have dropped down to a consistant 14 - 15.4mpg city, 17.4mpg highway @ 70mph, and 14.8 - 15.7 average. Thats with easy driving habits too. With the stock wheels and tires, add 1.5mpg to city and average, and add 3mpg to the highway. It got damn good mileage custom tuned with stock wheels.
Thanks Darren, i really wish i had this truck because my car gets this gas mileage and it ticks me off. I was also wondering if you could make a video of your edge programmer and what it does and its features? That would be awesome because i have no idea what it does. Thanks for the help man, Sean.
@Camaro2007 lol yeah thats how true true duals are, the right bank is flappier because of the less amount of pipe bends and pipe length compared to the left bank. Truck was also in neutral, thats how it usually sounds at a 500rpm idle. When its in gear or park at 600 - 700rpm it sounds alot smoother.
@motorcityplaya hahah yeah man. Its a relief to go home without a ticket this time around lol. Bummer is, the older we get, and the bigger the toys get, the harder the punishments get lol.
@natescamp lmao, dont think the thought hasn't crossed my mind. If that was to ever happen, I would try to quickly unbelt the tripod and take the camera off and stick it under the back seat, and throw the camera in the bag. My 20% windows should be dark enough to hide it, i'll just say "I was leaning down because I was getting my license, registration, and insurance ready officer" haha.
I told him I was one of those youtube vlogger peoplehaha, I doubt he believed me though, since I believe that he came after me cause he saw my drift marks way back down the road lol. Ohh well.
@yarun0 lol yeah, If I was to lift it I would have to sacrifice the convenience of detailing or oil changes with tools and supplies near by, and to avoid snow clean offs in winter lol. If I had the money I would consider lifting the garage roof about 3' and getting another panel added to the door though. doubt i'll lift the truck to begin with though.
@DarrenWS6 yah she already look sick as shit i got a vid of my 79 chevy k-10 but its only my first truck and it's FAR from done lol im only 15 tho so i got a while before it needs to be done
@labreck12 lol yeah, that was a small Superduty. Where I used to live out in the country we had Mack and International plow trucks because we usually got over 2' of snow.
@quiksilver9990 The same as it is, flat black. It was a chrome Roush grill but I cannot seem to get any Krylon raddle can paint to stick. Going to try getting it completely blasted, safely as to not ruin the plastic, and start fresh with adhesion promoter, primer, paint, and low gloss clear.
No, I wouldn't park it in there if it did lol. The antenna needs 2"s cut off of it. The trucks overall height clears it by a half inch. So i'm happy I didn't go with the 35s lol.
What was rattling when u first started your truck? Mine makes the same noise only when cold tho.

That's strange those tires don't do well in the snow. Got to try my Cooper STT's in the snow this year and they did really awesome :)
rekjavicxxx 1 year ago
@rekjavicxxx Light and wet snow they're ok, but a fresh powder of 1' snow on a hill they aren't too good. Tires are much too wide.
