@alfaranja Thanks for the tip. Right. Learning hangul will not take that much time, and you can read almost every Korean just right after learning Hangul or Korean characters. I would also like to recommend our Hangul video lessons on Koreanclass101,com
@tabithaminable For arms, you can say 팔(or Pal). However, for foot, you should say '발(or Bal)' Writing is different but prononciation is much simillar. You can say 발 without tense like 'Bollywood's 'B' sound.
@QaaarLaaafReesaaa um it's SNOW and it's EYES. yes isn't that confusing?? but yea most of the times there are 2-3 different ways to say a Korean word/expression.
@tokee1234567 you know you said 눈 is both snow & eyes - and there are often "2-3 different ways to say a Korean word/expression" - does this mean it depends on the pronunciation of e.g. , 눈, like in Catonese where the tone of how you say it can change the word? Or is it pronounced exactly the same (like "read" and "red" in English) and just depends where you use it in a sentence to define whether or not its snow or eyes???
I love the Korean Alphabet but the Vowels are pretty tricky I know Japanese but the vowels are really easy in Japanese but not Korean :( but i will keep on trying.
maybe the arm and the foot,, you were saying,,? the arm is an airy "p" like "ph". and the other one is the sound between "b" and "p".. at first, it is really hard to distinguish.. but we just need some listening practice,,:)
it's simple in my opinion. for arm is like saying pah-ool, but u cut it short so it's only one syllable. as for the foot, it sounds like "bah" the sound sheeps make, bah-ool, but you cut it short so it's one syllable. the "p" for arm is just stressed when you say it as opposed to the "b" for the foot.

actually, there are many words have same pronunciation with other words.
For example,
bae means boat and stomach
noon means snow and eyes
bam means night and chestnut
mal means words(or speaking) and horse
but, it is not hard to differentiate when you're talking in korean. =)
