I love this music video. I love both Evey and V, but I think I love V more. I don't think he intentionally tried to hurt Evey, he was just trying to help her become stronger. I wish he didn't have to die in the end and leave Evey, but I think it was supposed to happen that way. At least he went down fighting.
@trudy101 Actually he did intentionally torture her. She had to learn not to fear anymore she had to learn to put freedom before anything, even her own life. He had to die because he didn't belong in a new world of non-violence, Evey's world. He also had to die because he loved Evey so much that he knew he needed to ensure her freedom any way possible, by ensnaring both Sutler and Creedy. He knew he was going to die.
