Listen to some early Joan Jett interviews on youtube. She sounds just like her. I don't know enough of Stewart's movies to know if she always sounds like that (think I've only seen Panic Room), but in this case she is supposed to.

l was a fan of KS before Twilight and I absolutely believe that they picked the right person to play Bella. I don't knw much about this movie but I do want to see it. If you would notice, KS pretty much has her character nailed. The unsuspecting shy girl that always surprises yau in the end or the rebel who goes against authority and does her own thing. Check out Speak, CakeEater and Messengers, all good KS stories.
