  • @Meridian0071 I'm glad that my playing is being heard all over! I hope to posting some more videos soon. That is a great compliment and I feel very honored! PS-If you wanted to take me sailing around the coast of Canada, I'll play as much as you want me to!

  • Well done.

  • Now this is my idea of a VACATION! Playing a dulcimer next to a mountain stream and water mill. Thanks for sharing this.

  • i want a dulcimer really bad. this video makes me want one even more. this is pretty awesome.

  • I bought a clemmer just like the one you play. I had a mcspadden and give it to my sister. I missed it once I did. Don't get me wrong mike clemmer does wonderful work, and also one of the nicest guys you ever want to meet. I just prefer mcspadden so I bought another one :)

  • i know ive probably said this alot in the past, bu YOURE FREAKN AWESOME DUDE!

  • Hunter, your rendition of this song has the mellow, steady flow of the stream beside you. Great job!

That's one way of saying your rhythm is darn good. But if you want to avoid more clashes with your group, I suggest practicing with a metronome. Doing so improved my guitar and mandolin playing dramatically.

  • Now this is my idea of the ideal vacation: Sitting close to a mountain stream playing a dulcimer. Fantastic. Thanks for posting.

  • this one just went into my favorites for sure. wonderful tune and and i love your rhythym,,,its kind of a ...booma chinka bama lama bling ringa bing bong!!! ;-P thanks for posting this beautiful tune.

  • Hey, I love the Clemmer. I have one as well. Great job!

  • I really have enjoyed all your videos but the Angeline Baker was my favorite . excellent!

  • For the life of me I have watched this over and over trying to figure your rhythm out. I can play the song well but not with the rhythm that you have. Please tell me how you learned your rhthym

  • You know, I have always had strange rhythm...It is kind of my weakness and strong point simultaneously. In the group that I play with, sometimes our rhythm clashes! :D

It took a while for me to stop speeding up while I was playing, but now that is under control, I love to come up with different rhythms. I reccomend listening to all kinds of music you can stand, sometimes I like rhythms that I hear.

As far as this, I thought it was straight rhythm...Does it sound OK?

    Thanks,

    Hunter

  • Hunter , your rhythm is fine . Do it your man .

  • I find the rhythm like very incinting, you should be proud of it. Hearing forward to the fast edition of it.

  • Beautiful playing and setting. Thanks!

  • congrats on all the positive comments from the dulcimer pro's.... and they were well deserved...

  • Amazing! Remember us when your famous.

  • CAN DO!!!

  • Nice! Great rhythms. I love how you're playing the melody in three octaves.

  • Oh, I am very honored to have the greatest dulcimer player on EARTH to tell me that he enjoyed this. I can feel my head getting bigger by the second! Thank you very much for your support. I also love constructive criticism.

  • What, one podcast isn't enough at this juncture? : ) Very nicely done, man.

  • very nice playing.

  • I love to play, and I appreciate it. You have many good dulcimer vids.

  • Hi, Hunter, Great playing. You and Babcock State Park grist mill go very well together. I like the idea of playing "on location" in beautiful West Virginia. How about trying out Sandstone Falls? Ginny

  • It's not my best go at the tune, but it was fun!

  • Nice playing, Hunter!

  • Glad ya liked it. Babcock State Park I about 1 hour from where I live. Do I smell a podcast there Bing?

  • Great preformance of Angelina Baker, keep posting vids!

  • I could do better, thanks though!

  • Anyone can do better, but that was one of the better performances of Angelina Baker that I have seen! Keep strumming!

  • Thanks send it to your friends!

  • whoa! is that the coolest place in the world to play dulcimer by, or what??????? u made me git my moonshine out and dance a jig!

  • YEEHAW! From West Virginia. Believe it or not, despite the sterotypical views of us, we're not bad!

  • Theres nothing quite like playin' a good ol' fiddle tune on a sunny day, next to a river!

  • You know what? You are absolutely right!

  • you got lots of talent!
