ive downloaded and converted all your youtuibe videos and songs to my computer and ipod you are a rare talent sir when you pick up that dulcimer it becomes part of you....i thankful to have your tunes in my head when i take to the surf here on the east coast of canada makes it that much more enjoyable out there thanks god bless and keep em comin :)
@Meridian0071 I'm glad that my playing is being heard all over! I hope to posting some more videos soon. That is a great compliment and I feel very honored! PS-If you wanted to take me sailing around the coast of Canada, I'll play as much as you want me to!
I bought a clemmer just like the one you play. I had a mcspadden and give it to my sister. I missed it once I did. Don't get me wrong mike clemmer does wonderful work, and also one of the nicest guys you ever want to meet. I just prefer mcspadden so I bought another one :)
Hunter, your rendition of this song has the mellow, steady flow of the stream beside you. Great job!
That's one way of saying your rhythm is darn good. But if you want to avoid more clashes with your group, I suggest practicing with a metronome. Doing so improved my guitar and mandolin playing dramatically.
this one just went into my favorites for sure. wonderful tune and and i love your rhythym,,,its kind of a ...booma chinka bama lama bling ringa bing bong!!! ;-P thanks for posting this beautiful tune.
For the life of me I have watched this over and over trying to figure your rhythm out. I can play the song well but not with the rhythm that you have. Please tell me how you learned your rhthym
You know, I have always had strange rhythm...It is kind of my weakness and strong point simultaneously. In the group that I play with, sometimes our rhythm clashes! :D
It took a while for me to stop speeding up while I was playing, but now that is under control, I love to come up with different rhythms. I reccomend listening to all kinds of music you can stand, sometimes I like rhythms that I hear.
As far as this, I thought it was straight rhythm...Does it sound OK?
Oh, I am very honored to have the greatest dulcimer player on EARTH to tell me that he enjoyed this. I can feel my head getting bigger by the second! Thank you very much for your support. I also love constructive criticism.
Hi, Hunter, Great playing. You and Babcock State Park grist mill go very well together. I like the idea of playing "on location" in beautiful West Virginia. How about trying out Sandstone Falls? Ginny
Great setting and great picking. You are one fine dulcimer player.
