@Slic3R1 never heard about them, but i can tell you you will NEED tripod to see anything in them, and you will only be able to look in full daytime thru them, coz exit pupil is only 45/22=2mm, otherwise the image will be crappy/foggy
tell me what you need binos for, when you gonna use them most of the time and your price range, i may find you something good for the bucks
@Michkuty these binoculars work perfectly for me,have good zoom and a clear picture
and i am currently saving up to buy (sorry i forgot what's it called) but it's used for observing wildlife and look's like the "instrument" a spotter uses but it's not
i made a good deal for 90 euros + a tripod which were originally cost 150 (good deal the reason i'm so cheap is because i don't want to start off with some 1000 euro equipment (sorry for my horrible English)
@Michkuty No, you don't need a tripod. I own a pair (of Fujinons, these Nikons are really Fujinons with Nikon's logo on them plus a few unnecessary changes) and I never use the tripod, obviously. I can use them even from a moving car and it looks like you are floating through space, it's quite unreal. You cannot do this with Canon binoculars because they have shake correction angle of only +/-0.8 degree. The Fujinons have +/-5 degrees correction, which is more than the entire visual field.
@dvamateur They look the same on the outside but seem a bit different inside. Judging by the comparisons I saw on the web, the Fujinons are a bit better. They have only one mode but it appears superior to both Nikon modes. It is also Fujinon which is used by the US army (again, according to posts on the internet). The previous Fujinon model (Stabiscope) was used by NASA. FWIW, YMMV, etc.
@dvamateur They are made by Fuji. Nikon only add some changes and stick their logo on it. The technology was invented by Fuji around 1980. Canon joined few years later using a different design which corrects only in the vertical direction for a 6 times smaller angle. Fuji is an odd company, they make _excellent_ and innovative stuff yet hardly anybody knows them. They seem to cater mostly to government and military, and have no concept of proper advertising to the masses. Check their web site.

i don't know a lot about binoculars but is a 50x50 good ?
Slic3R1 1 year ago
@Slic3R1 no its dreadful, you wouldnt be able to hold it steady, unless on a tripod
and the light entering would be very small, general rule of thumb is: you need 2-4mm pupil for day, 4-7 for dusk/night
where pupil=magnification/lens diameter
so for example in your case: 50/50=1
very bad, if your looking for a general purpoe binos, go for 7 to 10 magnification, as for lens diameter 30-50 is good.
Oh and look for multicoating on lens
AND DONT TAKE ZOOM BINOS< theyre crap
nikon monarch are good

@Michkuty lol they cost me 5 euros and yes they are horrible
but i got some 20 euro binoculars called
Galileo and it says
22X45
1500M/9000M
they are really sturdy and have some metal parts
so what do you think about those? are they any good?

It looks suspicously similar to the Fujinon 14x40. I wonder who makes them, Nikon, Fuji, or someone else.
