  • I met Arlen and Joan in Southwark . He was an asshole then ,,But.

    Rich

  • I think they need cameras mounted on their clothing, and More mounted in all Representatives areas.

And remove them from public areas were people Privacy is Jeopardized.

Congress does not determine the undermining of the People which it serves...Freedom of the Press.

  • Everything That Specter Claimed Congress Determined HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH

    Deciding Transparency or not.

I vote to eliminate cameras of all Public Streets.

IF WE HAVE TO HAVE THEM SO DO YOUR CROOKED ASSES.

IT FOR THE PUBLIC'S GOOD...To help STOP CRIME- Fuckers. Taste your medicine.

  • @FattyFatterton wow well we agree on something.

  • Sounds like the "Scared little bitch" amendment.

They should be scared, cause their balls are gonna be in the ringer.

But they want it that way...they do it to themselves.

  • Did I Type "ugly soul" in the search bar?

    I must have.

    One disgusting piece of flesh...

This should be rated "R", not for Children under 17.

    Horrifying.

  • Ah, Senator Benedict Arnold,

well he was a RHINO anyway.....

  • Glad to see CSPAN finally has a good channel full of videos, so I don't have to rely on just CSPANJUNKIEdotorg and votersthinkdotorg for this stuff.

Can someone answer me this? Just how much of what Congress does on the floor and in committee is covered by CSPAN? Is there a significant personage NOT required to be on the air? If you ask me, ALL public proceedings by Congress should be on the air. And Congress should never be allowed to do these slimy secret sessions. It's insane.

  • If Congress needs to talk about something in secret, as our representatives, it's probably not worth it. Like that bullshit FISA secret session a few years ago. Did they REALLY need to discuss classified intel to talk about the efficacy of FICA and warrantless wiretaps? Couldn't they just debate the issue at hand?

  • I agree, everything should be televised!

Democrats want to many "closed door" meetings these days!

  • It's about damn time. The judges should be held just as accountable as the president and the dipshits in Congress! There's no reason NOT to be able to see what the Court proceedings for the 70 or 80 or so cases each year are. It's ridiculous that we still can't see SCOTUS preceedings live with real transparency. If we can videotape Congress and the president with no problems, we should be able to do the same for justices. I mean, they videotape lower court justices, right?

  • a-fucking-men.

  • They want the MSM, the 4th Branch of Govt, to get more power on the Judiciary. No.. it's not enough the passed Patriot without reading it or debate on the floor, thereby destroying the power of the judicial branch. Now they underfund it and stick Katie Couric propagandist types in there to make the Judiciary more political.

  • if this passes ima jizz in my pants

  • Huzzah to government in the sunshine! Expose the vermin!

  • Might as well let these cameras into private bathrooms and showers in school gyms because it might undermine that they might have warrantless access into theses public places. Do they get any stupider?

  • if you look at the facts you will find that all of the stooges take PAC money, or as you call it "bribes." one party is not better than the other. the are both paid for by special interest. you are buying into their bullshit my friend. they are one in the same. bowing to political alters is a waste of your brain power. both parties play to special interest and lead to the same bankruptcy. gov'ts don't work for the average people or poor, history proves this yet people still buy into the lie

  • If you know anything about politics how can you be mad that I call Specter slime? He and Joe Lieberman are the two worst. There are openly senators for hire. Like a monkey in a suit, pay them to do what you want and watch them run around. Most of them are only paid off by a few interest groups, like Dodd and Schumer are paid stooges for Wall Street, Burr and the gun lobby, Durbin is in bed with rich lawyers. But Specter is a free for all. spend some time on opensecrets(dot)org.

  • AMEN...SO LET IT BE

  • this is a great idea.

  • haha, I'm one of those slimy libertarians who marched against the Bush wars with my liberal friends who are no longer anti-war since a democrat is the one dropping bombs. not everyone fits in your pathetic little left-right paradigm that you have been sold by Glenn Beck, grow up

  • @soundmoneyfan I am glad there are people like you who stand on their principals. I have been wondering where all the anti-bush I mean Anti War protesters are.

  • Makes sense to me. Let us see what goes on. I bet we would be surprised about how they come up with what they will hear and how they determine a case.

I think in this day and age THE Court isn't working any overtime, when they are hearing so few cases. I think that members of the Supreme Court should not be for life they should be elected by the people as all our representative are but only if we have government financed elections for all elected officials.

  • oooo coooool yeah camera in the court!! let the people have a say technology is evolving everything else has to evolve with it

  • I'd rather see cameras on the pointy-heads behind closed doors when they are drawing up their communist and globalist proposals.

  • Although this is a good idea, Senator Specter is what of slimiest politicans to ever walk the face of the Earth

  • Benedict Spector

  • if you can read, then you know what goes on in the supreme court. listen to NPR, they cover step by step every supreme court hearing. besides, the real work, internal debates, is behind closed doors- which is where it should be- whatever your politics may be.

  • I am all for cameras in the high courts, webcasts of all major decisions which effect public policy. Also our legislature should have cameras in every room with availible web casts of all non-military negotiation. When a boss thinks an employee is stealing from them, it is natural to keep track of them when they are on the clock. I think the same should apply to the government officials who have spent us into bankruptcy. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.

  • Forget the SC, televise the WHOO

  • I completely agree with his goal, but doubt his methods.....strong arming their faults isn't likely to achieve a positive result from the Court.

  • It seems like that's all this idiot talks about, "camera's in the court".
