Are there any Ultra-Flat clear coats for the Ultra-Flat paint? I'm only seeing glossy clear coats which will not work with Ultra-Flat paint because it'll just make it look glossy. Any recommendations??

Hey have you tried the Dupli-color Metal specks on anything, just wounding if I need to use the Adhesion Promoter and if its safe to use the acrylic lacquer clear coat on it?

Why do you need to clear coat... Does it stop the "stickiness" when using the controller coz i didnt clear coat mine and its starting to get sticky what should i do?

hey i currently use acrylic lacquer with krylon fusion because i cant find krylon fusion

clear coat and also i bought 2 cans of adhesion promoter but i havent been using it and ive been using krylon fusion but when i start using a controller and start sweating on it the paint comes off do u think now that im using adhesion promoter that wont happen

nooo, it would make it look bad. you need to use lacquer.

I live in Canada, I went to Walmart and found Krylon Fusion paint (the stuff you use), but I couldn't find the Krylon Clear Coat. Is that because of the Walmart or simply because it's in Canada?

OK QUESTION:

I USE KRYLON FUSION paint

I sand but dnot use adhesion promoter.

I Bought rustoleum clear coat enamel nd sprayed it. 3 coats about 2-3 minutes in between.

in like 17 hours, fingerprints can still be made, and if yo tap our nail on it it dents.

How long do i have to wait b4 it is HARD and not gonna scratch or get dented by pressing my nail on it.

Should I buy Krylon FUsion Clear coat??? how long will that take? oh and how many coats.

yeah it worked although i need to re coat every month or two to keep it protected, but the finish is really glossy which i like alot but thats just my opinion. hope this helped!

Use the same "System" of paint. So if you use Krylon, use Krylon clear. If you use Dupli-color, use Dupli-color.

believe me, that controllers been out of that little bag for a little over 8 hours in total.. and i will definately never even touch the torx to the screws in it. How long would be preferred for it to sit in the thinner? and how deep of thinner?

I thought I covered it in the video, but you would use Krylon Fusion Clear Coat. It will be a semi-gloss, but it is the clear coat they recommend for Krylon Fusion. Part number and where to get are in the video.

I think that is in the Tiger Stripe Video - Part 1 - But I use 3. Two very light coats - 2-3 minutes between coats, then one "wet/medium" coat. Apply your color within 5-10 minutes of that.

ok ima go on record and tell you not to use that glaze..i used a triple thick glaze onto a controller and its so thick it makes your buttons feel lower i actually had to resand all 3 layer (3*3=9) so about 9 total layers lol just tring to save you the trouble
