  • i just one know if you can show the all sheet music..

  • hey i made a cover of this song for a talent show while i was on vacation in jamaica its pretty sweet and you should check it out on my channel

  • Pretty freakin' sweet. :)

  • you need harmony vocals dude... otherwise i love the drums

  • FUCKING AMAZING!

  • The voice is not quite all there...but still way better than most and keeping in Kalnoky's style, which was appreciated. A very good job on the rest though.

  • I would personally have not sang the lyric but a great job dude!

  • You defientely can tell the trumpet was from a machine... its wasnt the notes but what was in between the notes... but over all a very great cover!!!

  • @ghillielover That's funny, because he clearly states in the description that his friend played the trumpet for it.

  • This is a full cover because your friend that played trombone and bass was named midi right?

  • very well done. this just sounds like the streetlight version with a different singer. and the vocals arent bad, just different. i like it a lot

  • wtf with the voice?

  • @jotitomillon thomas isnt singing. this drummer is.

so thats why it sounds different.

  • the horns weren't u were they lol they sound too perfect(in a bad way), but other than the out of sync-ness, this is good. :)

  • this isnt streetlight manifesto

  • @TimSkateProject it is called a cover.

  • really good and original, next time, might wnnamake sure its not out of sync

  • wow. great work man. =) musically multitalented people are as impressive to me as multi-lingual individuals. you did a great job with this cover.

  • nice playing!!!!!

    What skins are you using?

  • 10 x faster and aloud gets better !!

  • Hi...

I have a yamaha stage custom too + yamaha maple custom absolute.

I'm looking for a metal or brass snare...

Do You think that snare is for any type of music ?

    Thanks

  • This is really accurate but loosen up PLEASE, this is an awesome song and I think it needs some movement .

    Good drummer :)

  • Hey, man! Good work! Liked a lot! =)

What VSTi did you use for the trumpets, trombones and such?

Thanks a lot in advance! Take care and keep on rocking!

  • i progamed up the trombone and bass in midi on cubase and used a roland jv 1080 to get the sounds

    the rest is live :)

  • 3:09 3:15

    What The Fuck?

  • i know right?

  • "The camera ran out of battery towards the end so I dropped in some footage of an earlier take to finish off the video."

    From the video description.

  • some kind of editing trickery i guess

  • ah nvm... just found the explanation below

  • it was a really good cover. i think what definately would have made it better though is if you would have recorded the vocals harmonies. those are really high though so it may not be in your range. but it would definitely add some depth to the vocals. but in all i really enjoyed.

  • haha yeah i did consider putting them in but i didnt really have time, i had to have it ready for the ucas deadline so it never happened, hence the MIDI bass and tormbone, plus i probably couldnt sing that high anyway!

  • g00000d job, dude.

  • what a coincidence.. I was on the PMST diploma 08!

did you go to lipa in the end?

  • i think its awsome

  • dude, i NEED these bass tabs

  • @hellohandgunxx

i know, i cant find any on the internet

  • yup streetlight is bomb when its live

  • The only thing better than Streetlight is Streetlight Live

  • sounds great mate

  • hehe its funny how people dont read the info claiming this is not Streetlight when it clearly says he recorded all the instruments minus a couple...

  • awesome work man.

its hard to cover another bands song when you're handling all the instruments.

it gets monotonous with the cans on all day sometimes @.@

  • Nice work. Great job on the drums. You don't have much voice but I guess it's ok.

  • i bet i know way more about streetlight then you. you can shut the fuck up because usually when someone does a drum cover they have the actual band playing the song in the background. in this case it is not so shut the fuck up you swamp donkey

  • full cover you noob

  • @weiszydude

No one cares man. Just cuz you know more music means your GOD, i forgot. Asshole, just listen to the music..

  • i was just saying its not streetlight O.o

  • dude hes just saying thats its not a studio recording of streetlight. chillout

  • Who's singing this, because it doesn't sound like the lead singer from Streetlight... =/

  • "full cover" in the title bud

  • what the fuck. thats not streetlight.

  • yes it is you douchebag

  • you're kidding right? thats streetlight in the background that he's playing to? are you fucking retarded or something. ur a dust.

  • nvm i just read the info. but still its not streetlight.

  • he is covering a song by streetlight manifesto dumb shit

  • lets all be chill here

  • nub

  • you're no Chris Thatcher, but you're good

  • Nice cover! How do you tune your snare tuned?? it sounds great!

    Thanks

  • Nice dude

  • Hey very nice!!, anyway what skins are you using on the toms?

Keep up the grat work man

  • catch 22 for sure, when he does it with Streetlight it sounds amazingly better.

  • @ThePacMan210

I think this is the band...guy from the video.

Catch never played this song. this was by Streetlight for Somewhere in the Between...

  • this is definately the catch 22 version. it sounds way different for streetlight. everything is

  • @sk8ertic94

HOLY SHIT THIS GUY COVERED ALL INSTRUMENTS IDIOT

  • @ThePacMan210

    It's neither.

If it was Catch, it'd still be Tomas.

    And that's not him.

Plus, he says he's playing drums, guitars, and singing.

  • Great job! Really impressive that you, your father, and your friend did most of the instruments.

  • amazing cover! i loved the vocals.....i love streetlight, but kalnokys voice can get annoying, haha post more streetlight drums! ....next time don't block the snare with you head!

  • I'd take kalnoky over this guy any day

  • says the guy with the streetlight in his picture, big surprise

  • lol, what can I say, Streetlights awesome

  • this is not streetlight, unless its a super early recording

  • it's a full cover, so it's not streetlight.

  • its a cover...l2read?

  • I like this a lot. Vocals may not be great, but they are way better than some other Kalnoky attempts I've heard.

  • I thought this was B.O.T.A.R.?

  • oh man those vocals are brutal after listening to kalnoky for 5 years

  • oh dude could you tell me what the chords are?

  • catch 22???

  • streetlight manifesto...

  • haaaaaaaahahaha

  • Didn't see anything on the vocals...I don't know why but the accent really sounds cool in the song. Excellent work!

  • You're pretty good man. I myself have been playing drums for 6 years. Could you tell me what brand of tom heads and bass heads you use because they sound better than mine by a mile and I can't find any that I really like.

  • those are remo something that really helps is those remOs and proper tuning trust me it took me forever to be able to tune my drums the way i wanted them

  • the vocals are lacking a bit but the rest is awesome well done

  • Could you give me the chords that you used? My free trial for guitar pro's up and I don't want to drop a bunch of money on a basically a glorified midi program.

  • is this the botar version

  • there is no Botar version, it was released after a call to arms, it could possibly be one of the Botar tracks on 99 songs to revolution, but we'll have to wait and see

  • they are all different. you are stupid if you think they are the same. they all have the same lead singer but one is catch is a highschool band, botar is acoustic.

  • If this didn't get you accepted, I don't know what would! amazing!

also, I really like your crashes.

  • THAT WAS AMAZING

  • what's that for a crash you use ? sounds really nice :D

    - nice play btw !, keep rocking or ska'ing :P

  • drum fOr me fukin BAND!1

  • Nice work there! For a moment I thought the backing track was another Catch 22 version of a Streetlight Manifesto song until I scrolled through the comments and found out you did it yourself. Really good job!

  • has catch 22 ever made a version of any streetlight songs?..

  • nope. streetlight completely redid the album "keasbey nights" by catch 22 because streetlight's singer tomas kalnoky was originally in catch when they recorded it. unless you already knew that but whatever.

  • Yes I knew that, but look at what REALMozard said "For a moment I thought the backing track was another Catch 22 version of a Streetlight Manifesto" So I got confused. haha

  • streetlight manifesto, Catch 22, and BOTAR are pretty much the same things dumbass

  • you're using the manu ktche snare correct? how is it volume wise ? And how well do you think it would work for the stuff i do, I do stuff like creed, alterbridge, three doors down. So i need something that cuts.

  • It's good actually, loads of power and volume, sounds best when you tune it relatively tight I think. Only bad points are the strainer which isn't that robust although i've not actually had any problems with it but it's pretty flimsy in comparison with other top end snares and it's also really heavy especially if you want the 14x6.5 version.

  • brass sounds great man, only advice is to listen to the drums more carefully to see what chris is actually playing

    but its good

  • amazing dude

  • aw, midi bass and trombone, my only two most favorite instrument... right there with DRUMS of course- VERY nice bro. Hope your app was accepted, best of luck.

  • haha sorry about that, I didn't have the time, what can I say... =(

With regards to LIPA, I got flat rejected, they actually sent me two copies of the letter =S maybe so I can frame one or something...

  • no way bro? well, you are a very talented drummer, good luck in the future :)

  • id buy it nice job

  • the drumming is good but the vocals are ehh and the horns could be better but the cover is decent *thumbs up*

  • it's really sick! great quality, great singing, great everything.

    Epic

  • great cover.

  • fuckin dope

  • nice one!

  • hold on did you play everything in this? no just drums and singing?

  • I did the drums guitars and vocals, my dad did the saxs, I got a friend in to do the trumpet and the trombone and bass are midi

  • thats sick man. good job!

  • Its pretty lame, drums are good. The voc. are weak and the horns need some attitude

  • Haha yeah I really don't like my singing but it is what it is, it sounded really wired without it so I put it in. The horns are a bit limp because I'm a cheapskate recorded them at home instead of the studio : ) although if you listen to any track off everything goes numb they aren't much better

  • Check out my band, search "Who Cares at starpoint" the sound was terrible there i could hear anything so i was off a little

  • top notch, i personally think u actually have a similar voice to kalnoky

  • i guess there is a bit of a similarity. the only exception is that tomas doesnt have a british accent.

  • lol

  • i say it would sound good live

  • nobody should be tryin to talk shit about his singing. i thought it fuckin rocked dude.

  • The music is good, but the raspy voice of Tomas can never be recreated... maybe on the next one you do you shouldn't try to recreate it.

    Otherwise, LOVE IT :)

  • how did you record the horns?

  • The trumpet, alto and baritone were recorded into cubase with an AKG condenser of some description, not sure what model, nothing too fancy, then a bit of compression and EQ. The tombone is a midi file I made using guitar pro, then imported into cubase.

  • all i understood was midi file

  • The trumpet alto and barritone were recorded with a microphone into a computer via the sound card, then used a recording program to capture the sound (the one I used is called cubase, but there are good freeware programs that do the same thing, audacity is one). Guitar pro is a guitar tabbing program that also lets you create midi files which is what I used for the trombone, you have to pay for it but theres a good freeware program called powertab that does the same thing.

    Hope that helps :)

  • good!!!

  • great work man, sounds great, even if your singing isn't tomas kalnokyesque

  • Nice cover, but the singing is kinda pissing me off.

  • i beg to differ, it's nice...

  • good stuff =D

  • best streetlight cover on here. hands down! =D great job

  • this is sweet. i like the voice. good job

  • That's pretty fkin sweet. Really accurate to the original

  • pretty impressive that you've done this all yourself, very nice indeed.
