So I integrated their traits within my own character, now I am a lot more knowledgeable, persistent, motivated, and hard-working, besides being more suspicious towards others and dedicated to a few confidants.

Just copy the track and open with VLC player. You can get any piece of music or spoken dialog this way. Cant remember what the track is called in the game files though, its from the main menu, so probably something to do with that.

white wolf doing another wod game would be cool. they could do Vampire the Requiem and have it be a sequel, which would be cool, or they could do a changeling mindfuck horror game. picture the ocean house with more hallucinations and fucking Gentry. a werewolf game would be fun but the enemies would have to be ramped up considering how badass the werewolves are. mage just wouldnt work at all, you dont have the same freedom as playing with a GM.

This is, hands down, the best depiction of vampires in any media form I've ever seen. The vampires in this game are evil, but not one dimensional like Dracula or Nosferatu. More importantly, though, they're sympathetic without over doing it. Unlike the freaking "wilight franchise, These vampires actually act like freakin' vampires! They love what they do, they don't constantly curse themselves and they don't fall in love with mortals. It makes sense: why fall in love with your food? Badass game!

No, it won't. Troika fell apart and the reason the game came out with such amount of bugs is that Activision pushed them before they really finished it. As game came out about the same time as HL2 and other great hits, it didn't pay off for activision. Now Troika is dead.

I have bought and played many games since this one, but I can not think of any game I would rather see a sequel too than Bloodlines.

I can't understand why there is not even one modern vampire RPG on the market at the moment. There is a huge audience for it and they could simply build on the gaming system of bloodlines. What a waste.

I share that obsession. Think what they would be able to make with for example the modern unreal engine 3. This is such a lost opportunity. Look at the success of vampire books and movies. It never wanes.

You know, this game really felt like a way of life to me in those days. And the music, the atmosphere... so cool. And even now I play it whenever a new unofficial patch is released. When the game boots it feels like going home.

The reason they haven't expanded on this game or on redemption is: both games flopped. There's a huge fanbase out there, but the game didn't sell enough to cover it's cost of production when you factor in over paid execs and the many-many tech-heads that are involved in the creation of a game like this.

Oh yes, I loved playing the Deus Ex games too. And there are several others that are excellent in their own way.

But Bloodlines... what can I say... it has a special place in my heart. And I am so frustrated that while the popularity of everything vampire has not waned for decades there still are no real vampire games of a caliber that comes even close to Bloodlines. I want Bloodlines in an open GTA-like environment. I'd pay a hundred bucks for a game like that.

I really do not agree. It depends on how you structure the game in such an open environment. Remember you do not have to free roam if you do not want to. The point is that you can. It is that which gives you an incredible sense of reality and freedom in a game. Just like in real life :).

Just imagine a well told bloodlines like vampire story in an open city world with numerous cool side quests and exciting stuff to discover.

I agree the sparkling vampires are a disgrace for the genre. Twilight is not really about vampires. It is a girly teenage romance movie that happens to feature some vampires too.

But the White Wolf interpretation has everything that I like about the genre and Troika has already proven that it has immense potential. Just think about how great a new Bloodlines II game would be in a beautiful, detailed open city world like Liberty City from GTA 4. It would be gaming heaven to me.

I'm so sad that Troika is no longer around. This game was simply excellent. I know it had bugs, but with patches it was just wonderful. I love it so much, and I have to beat it again... There may very well be more White Wolf based games, in fact, they're apparently working on a Wolf of Darkness MMORPG at the moment.

The problem for me is that most, if not all, of the new material will most likely be made based on Vampire the Requiem.

VtR doesn't really have the same charm to me that VtM had.

I do still intend to play the MMO when it comes out, though XD
