That was a wonderful performance and I think it was very close to that of Paco Pena.I listen to flamenco all of the time and have heard players much less accomplished than you playing professionally.You are much better than you think you are.Fantastic!

You've got a very nice sound, but you definitely need to work on a steady rhythm, not that I'm a good example of that. It's my main 'struggle' at the conservatory, even though I have a very good sense of rhythm (it's quite contradictory, actually). Good luck,

Het is ook mijn grootste 'struggle', ik speel eigenlijk altijd alleen, en met een metronoom spelen blijft lastig. maar ritme blijft wel het belangerijkste in flamenco...

je kan merken als het moeilijker word dat ik van de compas afloop. oefenen, oefenen en nog eens oefenen.

De moeilijkste gedeelten speel je soms supersnel, dus het is niet zo dat je vertraagt doordat het moeilijker of makkelijker wordt. Oh en ja, ik had dit eerder gezegd, maar ik dacht ik doe het nu in het Engels, hehe.

Het blijft inderdaad het moeilijkst wat er is van de flamenco, de compas. Maar wat je moet blijven doen is het langzaam blijven spelen. En dat is nog moeilijker ervaar ik zelf. Omdat je het graag zo snel mogelijk op de orginele snelheid wil spelen. Waar heb je dit nummer geleerd. Heb je les of speel je het na van de muziek?

Ik vind het ook trouwens super gaaf dat je die gitaar zelf hebt gebouwd. Heb je daar een opleiding voor gevolgd of doe je dat nog.

Gaaf hoe je het speeld. Zeker om te weten dat je deze gitaar zelf hebt gemaakt. Ziet er een geetje uit als de Jose Ramirez van Sabicas. Je techniek is zeker goed.

That was excellent, man! Kudos to you. I am polishing up, and memorising a Pena piece currently, which I will upload to You Tube hopefully in the next week. I will also post it as a video response here.

i like your style. maybe its the guitar making the big difference. but your technique is good. it sounds like oldskool "schrumm-schrumm" flamenco.

Hey Junglerican, There is a video here on YouTube called "Paco Pena - Soleares". I copied it from that video. I don't think there are tabs of it. But it Shouldn't be so hard to learn, just listen to the video and your own guitar and you don't need the tabs.

Ik bedoel het conservatorium inderdaad (zie post Hucho). Je duimtechniek ziet er best aardig uit voor iemand die het zelf heeft uitgevogeld. Wat meer in één tempo spelen, want af en toe versnel je aardig. Nu heb ik makkelijk praten, want mijn video's van toen (een jaar of meer geleden) zijn ritmisch ook niet super, maar ik bedoel meer als tip.

Some falsetas are from the book: Toques Flamencos by Paco pena, but most of the piece are not on sheet music. I learned it from listening to paco's records.
