  • Sick Tone! Have you played this head (or MKii) through a 1960 Marshall Cab? I'm debating wether to purchase a Mesa Cab or the Marshall. I haven't heard this head over either of those cabs. I've only heard it through it's own cab. However, my buddy recommends that i purchase the Marshall over the Mesa Cab. suggestions???

  • loving the tone. used to have a spidervalve 1x12 combo, really would like one of these heads. sometimes i have to play at such low stage volume i might as well just run direct out to the mains. and i think i just might do that, why carry a cab if i cant even hear it?

  • @JohnPerryMusic The Spider Valve heads are so light as are my preferred Mesa cabs (3/4 Back 2X12's) that I find them easier to carry than the SV combos you know.

  • killer sound!! lovin that shit I can't wait til I get one

  • @dustinboatright113 Thanks, sold the one in the vid but, replaced it with a Spider Valve MkII so I could play around with the built in looper. I miss the Still in the Night preset though :(

  • You'd have to walk into it for it to fall off. It's not the setup I normally use. I just had that cab in the living room so...

  • Thanks guys. I feel the valve is superior in every way except for playing at super low volume. The regular non valve version works better for that.

  • u was tempted to get the valve yet u chose the transistor one 0.0 were does the sence come in there?

  • good sound man

  • Thank you, I appreciate it!
