  • Anyone got a link to the actual show of 3:30 please?

  • @sazduh go to curmodgeon's channel, he has tons of live shows

  • oh, i would love a duet nirvana-pearl jam... kurt died too early

  • @djAmericantoast178 ,So please tell me Mr.Smartypants, what is "Real" rock music? Godamn,I fucking hate when you punks use that shit!!! Music IS Music, iether you like some or don't,but don't be using the word "Real" to sound smart! As for the people not liking Alternative Rock bands out today, have you morons realized that if it weren't for Grunge bands..God knows what the hell would be out right now. SES is the closest band I've heard in sounding like Nirvana, check them out,They love Nirvana too.

  • LMFAO The interview ACTUALLY shat himself because he thought Kurt was actually going to tazor him.

  • @MunisAwesome lol what made me laugh was the guys arms flyin about the place tryin to avoid it

  • about who is he talkin at 1:35 ?

  • Comment removed

  • @AI3JeWelz He was referring to the Brazilian band Os Mutantes.

Here's a link to the the full video of the clip they showed at 1:30, watch?v=eZzAcMqCSQ4&feature=related

  • I guess Kurt would have liked to taser some journalists.

  • Kurt knew melody. Nirvana was on par with the Beatles in that way.

  • Little did Kurt know what his band was doing to the world, little did he know..

  • hey anybody know the band he's talking about at 1.27

  • @dariusasghari Courtney....... :(

  • @wntw319 he asked what band numb skull not a name of a single person

  • @dariusasghari Young Marble Giants. they're a very good band.

  • hm?..in the 80s....there were a lot of bands with more melody than nirvana....but i like nirvana.. ...(i understand only some words..)

  • kurt was a prophet,he said that music was marketing in the 80s and he changed it,if it wasn't for nirvana, rock music would be dead by now.today's music is the same shit of the 80s,it's all about money and it's marketing.i hope to see another band like nirvana,a band that could kill lady gaga, justin bieber and those 3 faggots called the jonas brothers.i know nirvana is unique but some cool band has to show that music is passion.

  • i don´t understand :(..i am from germany ..only a little bit...some words..sentence..

  • Kurt had an amazing understanding of the music business and where Nirvana fit in

  • 99% percent of fashion concious music is total crap.

  • this guy shoulda stuck around a little while longer

  • i love kurt and i'm a man.

  • When he says "I hope that that bands are influenced by our sincerity which we try to pull off" that goes double for rehash, post grunge, dickhead bands like Nickelback, Seether, The Vines and Creed. Fucking tools.

  • @arabianzeppelin omg nickelback fucking sucks cock, the guy looks like my next door neighbours dog. don't even get me strated about fucking creed

  • HAHAH people don't dye the roots of their hair a different colour from their natural...

THEY DYE THEIR HAIR AND THE ROOTS GROW OUT THEIR NATURAL HAIR COLOUR.

    People... sheesh.

If you can't even grasp hair colour and dye... gtfo- you can't possibly try to make me believe that you understand music.

  • @MzBabyFirefly What does music have to do with hair? There is no correlation.

  • @WachaDrop Stupidity affects everything.

  • @MzBabyFirefly Not everyone has dyed their hair before. Most of the people listening to this are teenagers who don't even fucking wash their hair, let alone dye it. Yes, stupidity does affect all things influenced by people.. but there is still no correlation between hair and music, that was my point.

  • ..man, he knew about brazilian bands...

  • woo kurt cobain wasnt depressed.. he ned somebody to his side

  • okay, lemme get something straight. most of u already know this. but for those of u who dont. kurt's hair was not originally brown. it was blond. he died it brown. ppl r saying "if he was blond, y were his roots brown?" he died his roots! thats what ur supposed to do. thats what my mom does all the time.

  • @pennyroyalkurtgrl Your mom probably dyes her roots because they are turning gray; that's a bit different.

  • 90's fucking rules!

  • LOL with the taser!

  • were ready for someone to come in and break what music is today. just like what kurt did to hair metal

  • @verticalseesaw I can't imagine grunge coming back with the way music is now. Music today are for idiots that can only process songs that have a repetitive base line. Face it people, were stuck with our lady gaga's and Akon's untill the day we die :(

  • @TheDolefish Not true. There are still alot of underground bands around like Electric Wizard( listen to the song funeralopolis, will appeal to fans of Bleach. Also try Dead Meadow, Graveyard and Witchcraft. Not exactly like Nirvana, not at all, but good underground rock. You people clearly only know music that you see on tv.

  • @Kerry1King Actually I do know many underground bands, my mother is a band manager (Givemhell) and hear all sorts of music ... but nothing like Nirvana, Zep, Guns n roses, ACDC etc. Era changin music that will live on for years to come. Thats the point im trying to make.

  • @TheDolefish I agree that the odds of a band having the same impact as nirvana at the time is rather small. Seattle based bands (and area) were at the right place at the right time. The Music world was in big need of a change. Did you listen the song I recommended? Funeralopolis, I'm granted you will like it. There are many underground bands that do live for years to come, just not on television and that is a good thing. They do what they actually want to do.

  • 21 ppl missed the like button

  • this brown hair color really brought out his beautiful blue eyes <3

and I agree with Kurt , Nirvana was Grunge , rock with melody

something a person could actually listen too .... not some shitty noisy metal

I liked how Kurt went crazy on stage .....

  • @rockangel7777 Kurt actually liked alot of hard - to- decipher music. Did you listen to Bleach? Pretty noisy of you ask me.

  • I agree with Kurt. Fuck metal

  • @Skeloguy

metal rox. (i think) but i do like nirvana.

  • What was Kurt's natural hair color?

  • @thejakeludwig

    blond

  • @pennyroyalkurtgrl Why did he have brown roots then?

  • @pennyroyalkurtgrl Why did he have brown roots then?

  • @thejakeludwig

    he died his hair.

  • @pennyroyalkurtgrl So he died it blonde?

  • @thejakeludwig no, blonde was his natural haircolor.

  • @78LoveGun78 Why was his roots brown?

  • @thejakeludwig no he died it brown. he died the roots brown

  • @pennyroyalkurtgrl

    It's dyed, not died, lol

Unfortunately he died later, but his real hair color was light brown, he bleached it.

  • This is the second interview I've seen with him DRINKING A ZIMA! WTF!

  • @phillipjfry1979 Probably because Zima came out in '93 and they were pretty popular for a while because they were a sweet carbonated alcoholic alternative to beer. The novelty wore off pretty quickly, though, if I remember correctly.

  • here he looks a bit like brad pitt i don`t know why

  • He's high on the ron

  • 2:45 Kurt starts with that taser lol He had a great sense of humour but i think no one notices it cuz he has such a serious face

  • Wonder what Kurt would have thought of ipods?

  • i think ipods were a good invention.....

  • Lol at the taser.

  • man he really hated being new wave..he just wanted to be raunchy and to inspire those kids that felt like him...that underground stuff...that's why i'm being grunge all the way i'll never sign..trust me..i don't care about money just the loyal fans at the start...

  • You're cool. stop talking like it means something most grunge bands signed because it had gotten to the point that they had to sign in order to make money.

And Kurt Cobain, by 1991, did want to be different he didn't care about being grunge anymore.

  • grunge was a media term dude, they didn't know what it was and thought it was stupid

  • The grunge term was started by Sub Pop, not the media. In fact Mark Arm who was the singer of Green River created the term in 85 and by the time Nirvana started it was a well known term in the Northwest area and yes, Nirvana did know what it meant. Kurt considered them New Wave and said Grunge was just another term for northwest punk. He didn't hate the term he just didn't use it to describe his band.

  • alright alright. links though.

  • Why are you like the only person in the world that realizes this?

Why's there still so many dickheads going around saying: "GRUNGE IS COOL"?!

Even Kurt thought it was a corny term.

  • He didn't live to see Bush. NIRVANA with an english accent.

  • 2:45 best part of the video.

  • That laugh was the most nervous 'fuck-I-nearly-died' laugh I've ever heard in my life aswell.

  • this interview really changed my idea on if courtney killed him or not.......idk

  • Slayer does suck

  • what band is he talking about at 1:27?

  • Hole

  • @starsweet4 He talks about Arnaldo Baptista, a Latin artist, as he explains in the rio de janeiro interview from 1993.

    Cheers

  • he's talking about Arnaldo Baptista, but MTV Brazil changed it to general brazilian music just to attract the brazilians who watched this interview. pathetic.

  • Hole

  • he's talking about bands like blackflag, D.R.I, circle jerks..wich were some of the first crossover/hardcore bands in the late 80's.

  • what type of music is kurt talking about when he says it is all aggression. is that speed metal or something else?

  • hes talking about the same pissy shit going on today, with no melody.

fact is music is turning back into what kurt broke. A perfect performance with no room for error.. and lack of artistic ability.

When mtv and reality tv shows confuse art for the ability to entertain.. its really sad.

Art is the interpretation of things that are less likely to be combined, 2 plus 2 in art doesnt always equal 4.

but anyways, hardcore is back.. and it still sucks.

  • @odiumimbues lets break it again!

  • @odiumimbues Dude, I totally agree!

  • @odiumimbues except for CONVERGE! .........they always own.

  • @kowtpr187 and The Ghost Inside. sick band.

  • @odiumimbues Anyone who knows anything about art would keep silent and let the art speak for itself.

  • @odiumimbues we're all waiting for the next legend to be revealed. or rather, just good records to be out again. I'm trying like hell myself.

  • Dude .. 2:46 was the best . lol .

  • sooo good!!!

  • what band is he talking about here at 1.28 the band looks nuts please if u could let me know

  • my mom used to have a huge crush on kurt

  • he is hot! who wouldnt

  • Do you mean what the name of th song? "Something in the way, man!

  • well everyone doesnt know nirvana man lol we all at one point only knew teen sprit lmao

  • Haha .. so true .

  • yup:) so whats ur favorite nirvana song? i dont have a definitive favorite but one of them id definitly dumb

  • I know it's kinda pop-y & commercial, but my favorite without a doubt is Come As You Are. I just love the riff & the way the song flows. The video's awesome, too.

  • yeah, come as you are is a song i listen to often. but, my favorite song is either dumb or something in the way. i really love their mellow songs.

  • One of the things I loved about kurt was his 'mission' (as he used to call it) of showing great 'unknown' bands to the people, taking advantage of his popularity....

Mutantes is one of the greatest bands EVER, for instance...

OK... they're old, but i think no one is able to be as creative as they were anymore

  • 3.08 what song is that !!!!!

  • something in the way it on the nevermind album

  • Something In the Way from Nevermind. Its the last track on the album and was put in this video as a backlash to a counter culture movement in the 90's. So tell the people.

  • something in the way

  • if have should know that...i got it a couple of years on Cd...

    Thanks anyway

  • no problem anything for a fellow nirvana fan!

  • whats he doing with a taser?

  • ha idk its kinda funny

  • lol at the taser part.

  • I love that part
