I think this girl is a wonderful dancer. Belly dance is a form of art. Why should every dance or most things in life be seen from the perspective of men??? I don't get that. Why can't it be seen from the perspective of the person who actually does it? If she is happy with belly dancing, isn't that what matters most?

@underwoodfg bellydance is not originally a sexual dance! as a bellydancer myself, i am constantly fighting critics that say its sexual.

it was a dance originally meant to celebrate the grace and strength of the female AND male body. society has turned this beautiful art into such a taboo topic. its not fair to us dancers who perform for the beauty.

Such artful grace, tight co-ordination, memory of complex choreography, superb muscle control, great rhythm, stamina, and all delivered with convincing cheer and happiness. I see a celebration of life, and a celebration of an ancient tradition of dance and dress. I pity the people that can *only* see sex or sexuality when they see belly dancing, even when it's an 11 year performing it.

Why is everyone having a problem with her clothes? Shes wearing a long skirt, only her belly and her arms and sometimes her legs are showing? What's wrong about that? It's bellydancing! What else is she supposed to wear? I don't think she looks like a 'whore' at all, and she doesn't dance like one either. I think it's really beautiful. Well done.

@mayfuli There are many types of belly dance outfits, including beladi dresses, and body stockings to cover the belly. Not all dancers (even adults) wear costumes that show their stomachs.

Research before ranting.

Very good for your age. Please consider age appropriate costumes though. Bra and belts elicts a sexual response from men which is disturbing to see on a child. :) You are a lovely dancer and please don't think I am putting you downin any way as I am not. Just cautioning the choice of dance wear for your age. :)

Also, if some men see what you are seeing, this is a problem in your mind but not of my costume.

Pole dancing isnt apart of an ancient culture either, just modern society for perverts who cant get it up for their wives. @sdraper2011 Oh come on, I bet you don't even know the origin of belly dancing, its not meant to be sexual like the western world and Hollywood has made it out to be. In the middle east its done by both males and females of all ages for festivals and weddings. its a part of tradition and it great exercise. Maybe if you looked at it that way instead of the perverted way the world sees it today, you would think differently.

@MrFernandoenrique if im 20, and i begin to learn belly dance now, will i still be able to dance good ? lol because i know you have to learn these things when you are a child or pre-adolescent .. i dance flamenco.. so that has helped me with some movements that belly dancing has, since both of these dances share similar origins.. :) thanks..
