No, Tell Me doesn't have the context-understanding power of Siri, but no one ever claimed it did. It can't create meetings or anything like that, but it can text people, call people, search for things, and more. Oh, and I didn't see this iSheep say "Open [insert app here]" ;)

@TheGnerdyChannel LOL he purposely directed the commands towards what siri wants. Tellme is simply "text Anna" or "open angry birds". Tellme easily stands toe to toe with voice recognition but the implementation is different. Siri tries to make it more like you are talking to your phone.

Both good products that get many of the same things accomplished with a different method. Someone could easily do this same thing and make Siri look bad by using Tellme commands

problem is Windows Phone uses Command words like for example for texting, you cant say Send Text as with Siri. It's 'Text ContactName'. Still, Siri is way better. There's a wp app called AskZiggy that might be worth checking out. Not developed by Microsoft tho

When they couldn't think of a good excuse to tell people why they wanted an iPhone 4S, they took Siri off of the App Store and pretended it was a new idea, and the servers cut off access to anyone who had already purchased it, causing them to lose however much money they paid for it with no refund. Oh, Apple is such a trustworthy company...

Apple wins by setting up the developer community on the App Store. They can acquire what they like from developers and put it into iOS5 for iPhone 4S exclusively. Comparably, Microsoft believes in developing everything in-house... so they come up with Windows, and Bing... and man, they still haven't got voice recognition down since Windows Vista... :P (Dear mom/ dear aunt)

I barely use my phone to talk to people. When I'm in my lab I have to be quiet. When I'm at my house I have music playing. When I'm in my car I don't use my phone. When I'm walking I don't want to look like a crazy person talking to no one. Basically, Siri would be useless to me anyway. Microsoft Tellme is pretty awful but, thankfully, I don't need to use it at all while I'm using my WP7 phone :D

- Open or Start 'APPLICATION'

- Find 'SEARCH TERM'

- Text 'NAME' then 'MESSAGE'

My point was that that comparing the two IS pointless because they aren't the same thing. Yes you use your voice, but that hardly makes them the same thing. Yes show how great the person thinks siri is, but there is no need to undermine Microsoft's software when it isn't even trying to compete directly.
