i was agnostic for years before and during my first 2 years of college, when my major was computer science. it wasn't until i changed my major to physics that i began leaning towards creationism. call it a deistic awakening if you want. the more i learned about particle and macro physics, the less i believed the universe is random manifestation.
biochemistry studies led me in the same direction.
i don't practice religion, but i do believe the universe exhibits characteristics of design.

The KJV was translated from those original documents, which were of course changed into german, spanish and so on before the KJV was even conceived; thus making your argument somewhat plausible. Except for the demonstrably accurate facts correlating each book, which has went into the KJV bible, in reference to every single translation from the ORIGINAL texts. I always wonder how creationists can enjoy the benefits of science every minute of every day, from technology to medicine, and yet are still capable of throwing the switch of rational thought into the OFF position when the same sciences interfere with the primitive myths of their religious cults. Instead of raving about evolution, why aren't they declaring genetic engineering, computers, and medical imaging devices to be the work of the devil? At least be consistent.
The problem people have understanding evolution, is not the concept, but the massive time frame with in which it takes place. Narrow minded and closed minded people can not comprehend a time line of billions of years and therefore refuse to believe it is possible. If they ever read the actual theory of evolution and applied this vast time scale to this concept, they'd have no problem believing. That said, some people don't want to believe because that means losing an imaginary friend.

@KaptKan1 Evolution may not be correct but it is the best explanation we have that is supported by the largest mountain of evidence for any theory in science. We use the theory of evolution everyday to make predictions and it has yet to fail. Perhaps one day the theory could be proven wrong but today it's the best one. Also, the theory doesn't address if there was a creator (who, what) or not, just how it has evolved(how, why).

The theory is how that evolution is achieved. Namely, the theory is called Evolution BY Natural Selection. The Natural Selection is the THEORY to explain the FACT of evolution. APES ARE QUITE COMFORTABLE IN HOW THEY WALK, just as humans are quite comfortable in how they walk. Even a slight change in the position of a muscle or bone, for either, would be excruciatingly painful and would not be an advantage for survival. There's no hard evidence that humans evolved from ape-like creatures anymore than there's hard evidence that apes evolved from four-legged-pawed dog-like creatures. EXPLAINING HOW AN AIRPLANE WORKS doesn't mean no one made the airplane. Explaining how life or the universe works doesn't mean there was no Maker behind them. Natural laws explain how the order in the universe works, but mere undirected natural laws can't explain the origin of that order. Once you have a complete, living cell then the genetic code/mechanisms exist to direct the formation of more cells, but how did the cell naturally originate when no directing code/mechanisms existed in nature?

NATURAL SELECTION IS NO BLIND WATCHMAKER because it can only "select" traits, not produce them. If a variation survives, that's called being "selected." Natural selection operates only once there is life and reproduction, not before, so it couldn't have been involved in life's origins. A partially-evolved cell (an oxymoron) would quickly disintegrate. It couldn't wait ("survive") millions of years for chance to complete it and then make it alive! @clutterfish There were 3 original languages used during that period Latin, Greek and Hebrew. The KJV was translated from those original documents, which were of course changed into german, spanish and so on before the KJV was even conceived; thus making your argument somewhat plausible. Except for the demonstrably accurate facts correlating each book, which has went into the KJV bible, in reference to every single translation from the ORIGINAL texts. I always wonder how creationists can enjoy the benefits of science every minute of every day, from technology to medicine, and yet are still capable of throwing the switch of rational thought into the OFF position when the same sciences interfere with the primitive myths of their religious cults. Instead of raving about evolution, why aren't they declaring genetic engineering, computers, and medical imaging devices to be the work of the devil? At least be consistent.

The problem people have understanding evolution, is not the concept, but the massive time frame with in which it takes place. Narrow minded and closed minded people can not comprehend a time line of billions of years and therefore refuse to believe it is possible. If they ever read the actual theory of evolution and applied this vast time scale to this concept, they'd have no problem believing. That said, some people don't want to believe because that means losing an imaginary friend.

@KaptKan1 Evolution may not be correct but it is the best explanation we have that is supported by the largest mountain of evidence for any theory in science. We use the theory of evolution everyday to make predictions and it has yet to fail. Perhaps one day the theory could be proven wrong but today it's the best one. Also, the theory doesn't address if there was a creator (who, what) or not, just how it has evolved(how, why).
