@SinisterKnightz That would be a bad idea. The life boats cant be lowered if the ship is not in a complete halt. They did this on the britannic (sister ship of the titanic) and some of the premature lowered boats got pulled into the propellers.

A ship the size of Titanic takes a good length of time to slow and then reverse, and the ship would have to be traveling at an incredible speed to reduce any water intake. At the angle the ship was entering the water anyhow, it would be impossible to reduce the water pouring in from the bow, as it was slipping into the drink bow first and was submerged in less than an hour.

The selflessness of the violinist who decides to stay and try and calm people instead of finding a life boat, the the little old man trying to calm his wife while the water rises around them... @MrJDW123 Olympic was the only ship of the three sister ships to survive, but she was ultimately scrapped for parts. As for Britannic, she lies at the bottom of the Mediterranean after serving as a floating hospital in the First World War. To build a life-size replica would be kind of ridiculous given the size of the ships. And it was over 1500 people who died, this doesn't count those who perished during her construction.
