I can't believe the haters were right.

  • I was onboard Titanic. I am the final survivor

  • @crazybonesarecool22 funny cuz the last survivor died a couple years back and this was posted 3 hours ago

  • @crazybonesarecool22 HA you wish

  • @winstonchurchill95 That is beautiful.

  • I am going to south hamton to see an exhibit in April you can also get a cruise ship to the spot where it sank i cant afford it but lucky people who go. isn't strange how that ship sunk in 2012 maybe the 20th century will happen again in the 21st century ooooooh

  • @ugugmug uuhhhh you mean that italian ship? what do you mean?

  • @MegaCLONE66 yes i do maybe there will be WW4 and WW5 aaaah scary lol

  • 30 People Let Go.... :(

  • 100 years this April. I just might cry.

  • I can't believe it is almost 100 years since the Titanic sank.

  • rip titanic <3

  • i start crying when i hear this , people died because SOME STUPID IDOIT WANTED TO PROVE TITANIC WAS NOT SINKABLE !!!! may every lost soul rest in peace

  • @winstonchurchill95 the older generations were much more honorable than us.Life was better in their time

  • Thumbs up if The Piano Guys Send you here

  • If SOPA gets passed this is gonna be playing throughout he internet world.

  • @DaShroomFace It wouldn't because it would be blocked by SOPA.

  • @vacuum18 joy destroyer >:(

  • This is one of my favorite movies and one of my favorite classical songs

  • R.I.P internet.. It was fun.

  • R.I.P /b/ros

  • @IAmQuebby Did someone on /b/ declare that the Internet was sinking or something?

  • @Ultermarto People who don't know how the government works thinks sopa will end the internet or something.

  • this is so sad

  • I cried in this part of the movie. If I'm not mistaken, this was the part when the musician are supposed to stop playing but then one stayed and play this song so the other three accompany him. Thus, accepting that they will die with their instruments in their hands. :))) <3

  • @hidemebythename this last guy is real, he told his friends that if he ever found himself on a sinking ship, he would play this... They played this to keep the passengers calm as they were ushered into the lifeboats. These people sacrificed their own lives for the passengers. Heroes in maritime history, Heroes overall

  • where is the past? ...it was almost one century ago, where are now those notes?

  • and there goes my week supply of tears...

  • There let the way appear steps unto heav'n;

    All that Thou sendest me in mercy giv'n;

Angels to beckon me nearer, my God, to Thee,

There in my Father’s home, safe and at rest,

    There in my Savior’s love, perfectly blest;

Age after age to be, nearer my God to Thee.

    - Sarah flower Adams and Edward H. Bickersteth, Jr.

  • :')

  • Rest ye merry sheep and never come back

  • There are no words to describe how amazing is this song! I just love it!

  • i would die if god brought those people back to life

  • @lyokotanic Probably won't happen. In all likelihood there isn't a god to begin with.

  • i dont want to be disrepectful but i would have done anything to be on that ship and lived..the ship is the most beautiful thing i think humans have ever built.

  • @winstonchurchill95 We are dressed in our best, and are prepared to go down like gentlemen. But we would like a brandy.

  • is it just me or do does this song make you cry??

  • This is how i want to die.... alongside mates but safe in the knowledge that i will die an elegant and respectable death

  • This song reminds me of the Lusitania and it sinking. The last survivor of the Lusitania died on my birthday! But this song is for Titanic, and the name Titanic is a perfect name for this ship. I LOVE YOU TITANIC!!!!

  • Oh I remember that epic part that everything was like drowning and the band continues .. it made cry :c

  • wao que melacolica cuando escucho esta cancion!

  • I'm wondering if once they realised the ship was lost, that could have put it in full astern and backed it towards the nearest ship thus possibly reducing the amount of water coming through the bow.

  • @SinisterKnightz Ships that size take at least 15 minutes to start slowing down after engaging the brakes.

  • @SinisterKnightz That would be a bad idea. The life boats cant be lowered if the ship is not in a complete halt. They did this on the britannic (sister ship of the titanic) and some of the premature lowered boats got pulled into the propellers.

  • @SinisterKnightz Theoretically, yes. In reality, it can't be done. A ship the size of Titanic takes a good length of time to slow and then reverse, and the ship would have to be traveling at an incredible speed to reduce any water intake. At the angle the ship was entering the water anyhow, it would be impossible to reduce the water pouring in from the bow, as it was slipping into the drink bow first and was submerged in less than an hour.

  • when i watch this i can proudly say this is my heritage

  • ;_;

  • Beautiful.

  • I don't understand why humans have to be so stupid! I mean, if they had just slowed down the ship rather than 40 knot, then thye would've been able to turn in time and they wouldn't have hit the iceberg. But, because the basterd Ismay wanted his headlines, they didn't slow. Well Ismay, you sure got your headlines....

  • @treeclimber1797 Dont know i suppose lots of things that humans do are stupid when you think about it, this tune really puts things like life and whats important into perspective.

  • @dmmmac2

    ya,,,,

  • @treeclimber1797 Actually, i believe it was travelling at 23 knots (26.4679262 mph). Also, I think the titanic got about 6-7 ice warnings and they ignored all of them.

  • @RandomVideos1425

dude u do NOT want to correct me about the Titanic i know allllllll

  • @treeclimber1797 I agree with RandomVideos1425. Ships of that time, expecially such large ones as the Titanic and Olympic, had a top speed of around 25-28 knots. Plus, Ismay had told Captain Smith to go faster the previous day, not the actual day of the sinking.

  • @MrJokeyman alright fine i made a mistake...jeez

  • @treeclimber1797 It's fine, just dn't profess to know it all, because that's when someone smarter shows up;)

  • @MrJokeyman

well i guess i still can bvecause nobody smarter HAS shown up

  • @treeclimber1797 OOOOOHHH SH*T!!!! Gents, I think I just got a wee bit burned there...

  • @MrJokeyman *takes a bow* I'd like to thank the Academy for letting this happen! Thank you!

  • @treeclimber1797 Hey, Treeclimber, you know, Imma let you finish, but I just gotta say that Titanic had the saddest soundtrack of ALL TIME!

  • @MrJokeyman lol while ur at it..hey Titanic Imma let you finish but my CAREER is sinking faster than you :p

  • @treeclimber1797 yes. for sure you know everything hm? Okey. First of all the ship HIGHEST top speed was 25 knots. But it was never that fast it only reached a speed of 23 knots. And back then shps were traveling at 30 knots max. Even the mauretania was traveling with 28 -30 knots

    1. Whats the ships name that rescued the survivors?

    2. What was the ships name that didn't response on the SOS calls but was in sight?

    3. Please tell me all officer names.

    4. Owner of the car on board.

  • @TheMrWhitmore okey first okay is spelt with an a, and next didn't you look at all these other comments? obivoulsy not, idiot.

    1.Carpathia

    2.Califonian

3.Chief Officer Henry tinkle wilde, william murdock, charles lightroller, herbert pitman, joesph boxhall, harold lowe, james moody

    4. William Carter

  • @treeclimber1797 yes okay you got my respect. well here were i live we spell okay with e.

It's nice to see that some know so much about the ship. But i just didn't like your "don't correct me i know everything" comment. Just because 40 knots is realy a bit fast at all for that ship.

And very nice done with the questions :)

  • @TheMrWhitmore very good thank you

  • @RandomVideos1425 it was traveling at 23 knots not 40 are u stupid u know nowt about the titanic i know loads and im 12 i know more than alot of people

  • @killzonepasion Umm... I didn't say it was travelling at 40 knots, i said it was travelling at 23 knots, the guy that i was replying said it was travelling at 40 knots

  • @RandomVideos1425

    ~21,6 knots are 40 km/h

  • Didn't the pianist keep playing until the ship listed so much the piano slid across the floor and kind of self-destructed on the other side of the room? And, yes, it is rather difficult to carry a piano up to anywhere (even an electric if it's a full size quality 88 key...not that they were around 100 years ago.)

  • my orchestra is playing this for our veterans day concert :) Love this song<3

  • gotta cry at this part. no doubt.

  • Are you sure it was this Titanic? It sank almost one hundred years ago. That fact aside, my deepest sympathies to you. May you take refuge in this song, and in He of whom it speaks.

If anyone is fortunate enough to have a violin trio, transpose this down to E flat. Third violin sounds so full and rich, especially on open G.

  • Fun fact... There were 5 band members in the movie, how ever only 4 performed this on the boat, because the 5th was playing the piano.... couldn't really bring that up to the deck..

  • @icefire2626 Actually, there were eight members of the band, if you include bandmaster Hartley. Sorry, I'm kind of a hard-core Titanic nut.

  • @CellairisKilleen dido.. or dito... idk... but i meant the movie, ik there were moreon the actaul ship. idk whcih ur talking about though.

  • this kicks ass

  • my mom died on the titanic when i was a baby this is so sad. miss u mom~!

  • @braeden9ful You complete asswhite! how dare u curse the name of the real people that died on the titanic... Your 27 and your mom dies -_- Maygod have pity on you for i will have none!

  • @braeden9ful fun fact.. there are no survivors from the titantic still living today :I THAT COUNTS THE CHILDREN. moron -.-

  • @braeden9ful ... WTF... There are no survivors on the Titanic, the last having died two years ago.

  • @fedelede2 *from

  • Man, the two top comments are perfect. They're not the same ol' same ol', they nail the greatest movie quote as well as pay tribute to the real thing.

(Do NOT thumb this one up please. If you weren't going to in the first place, thank you and just ignore this)

  • I'm going to play this on the 100th anniversary.

  • I simply loved the movie . And I always wanted to see Titanic ( now,.. sinked) .. you know, to see it for real !

  • Anyone else feel like this song sounds similar to "America the Beatiful"? Regardless, this is absoulutely beautiful!

  • Where's the freakn' "LOVE" Button?!

  • Damn, this is pretty much the point when I lose my cool and start bawling my eyes out. Maybe a little earlier but still, I lose it completely.

  • " Gentle Men Its Been A Honor Playing With You Tonight " *ShakesHands*

  • How very haunting is this violin interpretation of the hymn which will forever be associated with the Titanic, and all those poor souls who tragically perished on that awful night. God bless every single one of them.

  • I want THIS at MY funeral, if I die in now and about 90 years or something..

  • My Mother's Father's Favorite song in the world and My Grandpa Miller was a Seaman himself on a tugboat and sail the ocean blue. And being on the sea was his exscape from the world to be Nearer God to Thee. My god watch all sailman and Criuse ships as they afloat and be as In GODS hands if the Unthinkable should happen. TITANIC always will test the time for us to be readdy for the Unthinkable. R.I.P. Titianic 1912-2012 Love you Titanic we all will treasure your endless story of Heoric love

  • That the most saddest point in this movie... they're playing music. Knowning that they will die...

  • "Gentleman, it has been a privilege playing with you tonight"

-And that's when I feel saddest of all in this entire movie.

  • I found out today that this beautiful piece was written by the father of music education in schools: Lowell Mason! Pretty cool to think about :D

  • I start crying as soon as the music starts in Titanic. The whole scene is just so sad in so many ways... The selflessness of the violinist who decides to stay and try and calm people instead of finding a life boat, the the little old man trying to calm his wife while the water rises around them... And of course, the Irish woman putting her children to sleep because they couldn't get out.

  • at 0:28, i can literally hear water spilling over the top deck and people screaming and rushing to the stern...R.I.P.

  • Wspaniałe...

  • Tear Jerker

  • PERFECT!!been searching for that for ages!!hank you!!

  • :( i love it

  • This song kinda makes me wanna cry... not for the movie, well in part because of the movie, but also in part of the tune, and the lyrics.

  • OMGosh, this song makes me so emotional...I can just see Captain Smith, watching the Atlantic take his creation from him and everything on it...

  • Go to Long Beach, CA. The Queen Mary is permanently berthed there, restored to it's original glory. You can book a stay on it, eat in the dining halls, etc. Great time there.

  • do yall have any idea how intricate titanic was? to make a replica the way they used to would take 5 years at least

  • Titanic is my favourite ship of them all it would be nice if they did a replica of her and her sisters Olympic and Britannic so people today can she how beautiful and magnificent these ships where and the Titanic will live in on in my memory she was an incredible ship and I HOPE THAT THOSE 1,500 WILL R.I.P.

  • @MrJDW123 Olympic was the only ship of the three sister ships to survive, but she was ultimately scrapped for parts. As for Britannic, she lies at the bottom of the Mediterranean after serving as a floating hospital in the First World War. To build a life-size replica would be kind of ridiculous given the size of the ships. And it was over 1500 people who died, this doesn't count those who perished during her construction.

  • @twilightscribe well every big line of the today ship lines is able to buy a replica of them. the three sisters were all half as big as modern ships :D As far as i know where the Funnels of the titanic as hig as the top deck of a modern cruise ship. Without the funnels^^

  • @andrewvanrhoberts No it sank because of multiple design flaws...It could have happened to any ship of any nationality you dumbass

  • @andrewvanrhoberts you horrible bastard

  • @andrewvanrhoberts There was 2224 people aboard only 710 survived that means 1514 men, women and little kids lost their lives in the perishing cold North west Atlantic ocean. This was real, and it was devastating. Can you even begin to imagine what people went through? If i think about what happened that night all those years ago i could cry, it breaks my heart. Please don't comment on this matter ever again. Your disgusting

  • @andrewvanrhoberts Don't feed the troll, people. Internet rule #1.

  • @andrewvanrhoberts

And yet you use the English Language. Maybe People like you are the reason why there is war, because you are a bitter person, that thrives on other peoples misfourtunes. There was not only English people on this ship but american. Why are you watching this, if your just going to leave nasty comments. Grow up and find something more constructive to do.

  • @andrewvanrhoberts Fuck! :O you are absolutely disgusting for saying that!

  • THIS song makes me want to learn how to play violin.

  • Saddest part of the entire movie.

  • I wish they made a replica of the original Titanic and have it go to England and America just like the original. Ive always wanted to know what it was like

  • @andrewvanrhoberts isn't it an omen to name a ship after one that already sank?

  • Gentlemen its been a privilege playing with you tonight, but heres my rescue helicopter coming to pick me up. Enjoy the freezing Atlantic ocean

  • we were on a cruise ship at night time with my friends, he had hes violins and started playing this music.

  • Going to play this on violin at my grandmothers funeral...

  • i'm crying

  • did you alter the key of this song before posting it? It's a lower key than what's in the movie. Beautiful, nonetheless
