I dont think Im autistic Im just slower with learning the only reason im in special ed I suck at math Although im mainstreamed for most of my classes and i don't take PE Speech or ET classes but Ive been with kids and known kids with autism for so long I understand what their going through and I think too many people make fun of it and take it as stupid its unfair and cruel Its not their fault they were born with it and one kid is a year younger then me and amazing at math but hes very autistic.

I think i might be autistic. When I was 2 years of age I would open things apart to see the insides. I wasn't fully toilet indepent until the age of 13! I had speech therapy and threw my moms stuff out the window. Im still in special ed since I was in 3rd grade im a senior in high school now. I was diagnosed with add when I was about 7 but i think its autism. I try to act normal in public but I become the reall me at home. O and I am obsessed with helicopters and I went CRAZY when I cant do it.

I'm 16 years old, I'm pretty sure I'm NOT autistic, and I've had to take speech therapy from 7 to about 11/12. Speech therapy does help, but lately my words have become slurred and faster lately. Many can not understand me, I'm just asking a simple question if I should go to speech therapy again?

at age 5..grade 1..I could name all the parts of the human eye and the heart..read on a grade 12 level by grade 3..could speed read 6-8 blackboards of notes..then copy them all word for word without looking back up..then they discovered my "gift" and life turned to shit..was pushed constantly and moved 2-3 grades ahead..could have graduated high school age 14..older kids beat me up cuz I beat them on tests even when I tried to fail..gift?..not until now..I work for God..

I recommend reading Donna Williams' autobiographies. Williams is a high-functioning autistic woman who gives an indepth look at how autism effected her life, mind and how she relates to the world. It's a pretty fascinating read.
