I can park my big bike right up in the corner even easier. What I do is ride it into the garage, turn left and slam on the rear brake. Slides right in.
Hello Legalspeedeng. My name is Karol, I am from Poland. Tell me please who is autor this music, because it is very nice song. I dont very good write english - so I'm very sorry everyone, and YOU.
Bought a new left-over '08 1800 last year. Great bike, yes it's expensive. Monthly note is the price of a new 25K car. Still happy though with the purchase.
@HealthJunkie7 Until you try moving the bike back and forth, back and forth, back and forth trying to put it into a corner... then the $200 would of seemed worth it after pulling the bike out every weekend or day. True... if you only would use it once... the price is high.... but it's not the product you're buying... it's the convenience. That's why 7-11 stores are more expensive than supermarkets. It's the convenience of getting in and out quickly is what you are paying for.
I tried making one. You'll spend close to $100 on 4 casters that can handle the 1000lbs load. Figure $120 in parts, 1-1/2 hours to build, and access to a machine shop. Of course, that assumes you get it right the first time. Design and material selection are critical. Make it too high and you throw off the geometry of the center stand and won't be able to get the bike up on the stand. Make it to low or not sufficiently rigid and it will bottom out when all the bike's weight is on the stand
I doubt that the casters would run that much. The thing that sticks me is that I can buy a motorcycle floor jack for $80-$90 US at Harbor Freight. I can get an aluminum one for $180.
A piece of 1/4" steel plate, a few bends and some casters. Not worth $200.
Wonder if he uses US made casters or Chinese units. That could be a big part of the costs. Looks like a well built unit to me and it sure rolls well. Had too much Harbor Freight stuff in the past. Just don't like the quality. Bought a set of HF car roller things and my older HF rollers were much smoother than the ones I bought this summer. Pushing a 3200 lb car on the tire carts was much harder even after I pulled them, lubed and put back under.
