i was about to purchase INTEL + A Graphic card for my PC but the shoppe owner recomended me APU A6 3500 3 Core processor and i am loving it its a very good processor the graphic card is inbuilt inside the processor with DDR3 2 GB memory, its a revolutionary technology. Good Job AMD
LOL I love the fact they show in Lost Planet 2 performance boost from 17 FPS to 24 FPS which sucks fkin ass and is useless for multiplayer. AVP on the other hand is impressive. gives you the right amount of headroom for laggy parts. On the other hand... every game was already in the optimal fps range (except two) before installing a dedicated card and then it just moved up a bit. Oh sure you can now plug in some more screens and do the eyefinity shit... who the hell CARES! Show Crysis Warhead!
despite most games being developed for consoles and then ported to PC nowadays consoles have a hard time keeping up so it depends on the engine... but how long is this APU crossfire gonna last you? I expect the next gen games to be even more demanding and then this shit will brake down ... better buy a decent high class dekstop with SLI/Crossfire configuration and a CPU thats gonna last you years.
(I like the new AMD 7970 with low idle popwer consumption xD omg was that so hard to accomplish?)
@USEYAHOO This is perfect for someone like me that is sick of console gaming and want to incorporate mild gaming into my HTPC. Not everyone wants a big PC to sit in front of a monitor, there are those like me that want to sit on the couch in front of their TV's. An APU setup like this can eliminate a console, cable box and any other network media streamer you one may have. All can be consolidated into one box that can pump out 1080p video, watch and record live TV and casual gaming.
amd trinity and hd 6670=xbox720 plus, the console will have the 3670 gpu and the game ports will be running the same but because of the 3670 there will be huge performance
@Awakenedlight7 Unfortunately, you can't add graphics to a laptop. What you buy is what you get. If you want to game, buy a desktop, they work out soooo much better. The only con is a lack of portability. I hope this helps.
AMD has done something great here. I can only expect the next gen Trinity APUs to do outrageously better, since they have had plenty of market testing for the Llano. AMD... whatever you do, DO NOT ruin this. This is the greatest thing since PCI express.
Great Video but AMD A-Series APU dual graphics is a waste of money , get a "H" cheapo 1155 motherboard and a non "K" 2500 and a gtx 460/ 560 and it will "blow the doors" off of the AMD A-Series APU dual graphics set up for only a little bit more money.
@BarackMcBush Not really a little bit more, that i5 2500 + GTX560 (Non-Ti) will cost double the price of the A8-3850+HD6570 (CPU and GPU only, not entire system). But of course, performance wise, the AMD one is nowhere a competition for the system you mentioned.
@Mario0Dante For me 100-150$ is only a little bit more money .it depends what country you live in , I live in a 1st world country with a good job ,So ..If you work at a sweat shop in the Philippines then by all means get the A8-3850+ set up.
@BarackMcBush Honestly, the $150 more is totally worth it. What really breaks the A8 for me, it's the upgradability. A8 is comparable to Athlon II chips, a slow last generation processor but with a IGP between a 6450/5570, so if you pair it with a 6570, yeah, you get a nice value (costs the price of only the i5 2500 itself), but the CPU is too slow for future GPU upgrades, and replacing the CPU will require to replace the 6570 too.
@elwlx123 nothing higher than 6600 is what i found cant tell does that include 6600 series or not cause there is no 6600, or em i wrong still great performance with a 70$ card lol
Go into bios and set Init display first to 'Onboard". You will find the option under "advanced BIOS features". Save and reboot...open CCC and you will see the crossfire option to enable.
How did you set up dual graphics mode? I have both the A-3850 and a HD 6670 but it won't show the crossfire option under ccc/performance tab. What did you install driver wise? Thanks in advance.
People should keep in mind that the performance boosts will only happen with DX11 compatible games. Anything other than DX11, will see the performance of the APU alone.
@Sknoob728 no, only 6670 and below will work with hybrid crossfirex. discrete card is the card that not build together with motherboard or even cpu, so they come in stand alone pieces.. AMD APU is not a card, but its a GPU that build together into one silicon die with CPU..
@jonap1st thanks, i researched that after i put the comment and realized i sounded stupid. but now i know. i dont think im going to build a rig based on Llano though, not powerful enough for me.
@Sknoob728 yes, Llano is not powerfull enough, but if there someone who only got $320 budget for building a rig and want to play old dx9 games without getting hitch, Llano is good for consideration..
@Landak36 In terms of raw CPU, the 965 or the 1055t. If you have a decent card the 965 should be your way to go, but if you don't have a good video card the a8 3850 would be better
I have an A8-3850+HD6670 in Hybrid XFire. I'm building an HTPC/casual gaming/general purpose PC with the combo.
I've posted a few videos of it in action. Just search Youtube for 'Haawser'. It's only very slightly overclocked because I'm using a low profile HTPC cooler. But it's perfectly playable on med in BC2. I get 63.8 fps average in Dirt 3 with everything on high @1080p.
Not bad for a low power HTPC the size of a shoebox :)
has anyone bought this apu recently and had problems with it? I got mine installed drivers doesnt seem to work, performance is useless, cant run any game higher than low setting, 3dmark can hardly run gives a 500 score, tried all the diffrent drivers flashed the mobo still no good.
@Danster82 Did you use the FM based motherboard? I think I heard something about the APU needed that socket for best performance. Also 1866mhz ram is recommended to get the full performance out of the APU.
@jcodbf2 Yeah it was an FM board, the RAM is 1600 but it shouldnt effect performance so drastically, Ive heard it might be an 8pin rather than a 4pin cpu power connector I need but I cant see it really,
so if i got a CPU for around $160 and a GFX card for around $70 from AMD and got this performance.....what to i get if i gave Intel and NVIDIA all up $230?

Awesome scaling. I didn't really trust APU for I didn't find any benchmarkings, but using that very very basic card with an APU works really nice. Still, they need new and better mobos to work with.
@StigmatiX You mean Trinity which is the APU version of Bulldozer. Thats my BF3 rig with the best 7000 series, should be able to max settings and 120FPS or 60FPS 3D. With the current low end VR headsets can accept a 1014x768 signal so those low resolution in VR mode would definitively allow the FPS to be perfect. Add the Pysko 5.2 headset and X-box Kinect tech that is coming to the PC per CEO Microsoft your going to get augmented reality gaming.
@4Th3Truthful Wait, the new 8 core AMD processor is going to be an APU? That sucks. Also, I'm not a huge fan of 3D games, maybe for a short while but not for extended sessions.
@StigmatiX bulldozer is am3+ cant be used on an Fm1 socket so this is out of the question. Ud need an am3+ board plus a powerfull gpu prob thru PCIe x16 for ful performance, even better if u have two a second PCIe x16 slot for crossfireX
