Why do pit bull owners make fun of the facts then use them to stupidly give pit bulls an even worse image? Perhaps it is as they say...there are no bad dogs, just really stupid owners. Wish there were more videos like this. My pit is SO easy with my minature dog it is crazy. He plays very rough with my mastiff, but somehow knows he has to take it easy on the litte guy. i disagree totally..but up until 2 months ago..i would have agreed with u all..i owned a pit had her since she was 8wksold.also had a chihauhau..had her to since she was a baby.i also have young kids in tha house.one big happy family.the dogs wer best friends.even slept together.my pit had never shown aggression towards nebody or anything.well accept barking at door or running after squirrels.well march 26,my pit attacked n killed my chihauhau in front of our eyes.nothing we cud do.she locked.

The way a dog behaves depends on how they are brought up. I have a German Shepard which has the typical "police dog" look, and he is a complete pussy. No offence Kane ;)

And if you actually look up statistics you'll find that German Shepards, Rottweilers, a couple other breeds have a stronger bite and more attacks than pitbull terriers. well it is the breed but the owner needs to train it before it becomes aggressive. i have a pit and she was very vicious at 5 weeks to 5 months exteremly vicious and i had to train her out of it she's still a pup and she's 7 months now and now i just have to make sure she's not pinning a dog because after 3 seconds she becomes vicious i have not trained my dog to do this but if she doesn't pin a dog she's the most friendly dog in the dog park. i'm just learning how to get her out of that state
Everyone thinks that pitbulls are tough dogs but I know of a man who owned a wolf hybrid that killed two pitbulls, and it also caused a lot of damage to my other neighbor's livestock. The dog was finally put down. A pitbull's bite is quite powerful, but if you get a hybrid that has more of the wolf gene in it, look out! Their bite is nearly double that of a pitbull. I wouldn't recommend owning a wolf hybrid that is over 70% wolf unless you know what you are doing.

People need to consider "nature vs. nuture". These dogs were bred for bullbaiting long ago so even if someone has a well mannered pitbull due to being a good owner, you never know when they will show what they were originally bred to do.

@DanteLacey21 sorry to dispute your "facts" but there are many pits that have saved their owners lives and the lives of total stranger to them. yes there are some who are dog aggressive but i own 2 pis and i have kittens around them, other dogs, people and they have never attacked. the one exception to that is when a stray wandered into my back yard, and tried to attack me then my male pit started growling and the dog attacked him instead and as soon as i yelled @ my dog he stopped.
@DanteLacey21 this is true there are many irresponsibel owners out there but that is with any breed. irresponsible owners include someone with low self esteem that need the dog as a status symbol, or are trying to get the dog to fight, or not properly sociolizing the dog with animals and people. the only animals not safe with my pits r the turtles that come through our yard b/c my dogs r very inquisitive lol.
PLEASE do not get a Pitbull as your first dog or if you are not a PRO at training animals. I love Pits, but if they are not trained extremely well they can get spooked and attack someone. This is true of all dogs, but Pits can easily overpower a grown man and their jaws are stronger than any other dog by far. My leg may never heal properly and I cannot stand for more than a few seconds without agony. Don't just get one cause you think its cool. They are a HUGE responsibility.

Don't worry about legal consequences, judges know they are killing machines and you can always claim self defense. I agree. It's ALWAYS the owner...NEVER the dog. Abused & neglected children are the ones that are more likely to grow up dysfunctional than those children raised in good homes. Why would an animal be any different. It makes me SICK that they keep blaming the breed. When ANY animal attacks its owner...there is always a reason. pity's. It's a tough call on who's the bigger problem. The breed or the owner??? I have to say both....I personally have witnessed questionable behaviour bred into these dogs....mostly by BYB's. Still as with any dog or animal ...never let your guard down for a minute.

i disagree totally..but up until 2 months ago..i would have agreed with u all..i owned a pit had her since she was 8wksold.also had a chihauhau..had her to since she was a baby.i also have young kids in tha house.one big happy family.the dogs wer best friends.even slept together.my pit had never shown aggression towards nebody or anything.well accept barking at door or running after squirrels.well march 26,my pit attacked n killed my chihauhau in front of our eyes.nothing we cud do.she locked.

And if you actually look up statistics you'll find that German Shepards, Rottweilers, a couple other breeds have a stronger bite and more attacks than pitbull terriers. You just never hear about them. The ones you hear about are thugs and gangsters raising them to fight. Now the media has a breed to blame attacks on. well it is the breed but the owner needs to train it before it becomes aggressive. i have a pit and she was very vicious at 5 weeks to 5 months exteremly vicious and i had to train her out of it she's still a pup and she's 7 months now and now i just have to make sure she's not pinning a dog because after 3 seconds she becomes vicious i have not trained my dog to do this but if she doesn't pin a dog she's the most friendly dog in the dog park. i'm just learning how to get her out of that state

Everyone thinks that pitbulls are tough dogs but I know of a man who owned a wolf hybrid that killed two pitbulls, and it also caused a lot of damage to my other neighbor's livestock. The dog was finally put down. A pitbull's bite is quite powerful, but if you get a hybrid that has more of the wolf gene in it, look out! Their bite is nearly double that of a pitbull. I wouldn't recommend owning a wolf hybrid that is over 70% wolf unless you know what you are doing.

People mad a blood sport for their entertainment and now they are decided they are 2 vicious. thats not the real trait of a pit any way. that are not human aggressive at all and are extreme loyal (why else did they rip some other dog up...for their owner). out of the 8 months of volunteering at my shelter we have never had any issues of our dogs attacking other dogs. Its been the other way around. wen raised they are great dogs.

@DanteLacey21 sorry to dispute your "facts" but there are many pits that have saved their owners lives and the lives of total stranger to them. yes there are some who are dog aggressive but i own 2 pis and i have kittens around them, other dogs, people and they have never attacked. the one exception to that is when a stray wandered into my back yard, and tried to attack me then my male pit started growling and the dog attacked him instead and as soon as i yelled @ my dog he stopped.

PLEASE do not get a Pitbull as your first dog or if you are not a PRO at training animals. I love Pits, but if they are not trained extremely well they can get spooked and attack someone. This is true of all dogs, but Pits can easily overpower a grown man and their jaws are stronger than any other dog by far. My leg may never heal properly and I cannot stand for more than a few seconds without agony. Don't just get one cause you think its cool. They are a HUGE responsibility.

All pitbulls are nothing but killing machines born and bred. Do the right thing, kill every pitbull you see on sight. Don't worry about legal consequences, judges know they are killing machines and you can always claim self defense. If the pitbull happens to be on private property simply lure the beast off of the property with food or other enticements, then blow it to hell where it belongs. The best way however is to slaughter it when it is still chained up, best not to take chances.
