Its easier to produce nice vocal arrangements with a synth sound than an acoustic sound. Imgine trying to do vocoder stuff with a dulcimer or harpsichord. Same with piano. Its not as cool. Think about it. Have you ever heard anybody use a piano for vocoder stuff? lol. What about Roger Troutman! That would never happen. Hope this clears it up a little.

PS : this artist is Don Lewis. He's an organist. So he can play this kinda magic cause for playing organ, you have to use your hands and your foot too. Very difficult. Then, with a VP 550, he can create a real vocal faery on his own. It's astoundish...

The instrument is amazing but you still have to PLAY the harmonies on the keyboard AND sing in tune, so no instant magic :-)

The pitch of your voice is not important here - you do the modulation part with your voice...

This keyboard is all about the "instant magic". You could be the most tone deaf person on the planet, and this board will make you sound amazing! Your own voice is just the input signal. The keyboard then takes your voice and "voila" you're an instant singer :)
