I'll agree that some women need support instead of an abortion BUT once they make it to the clinic they obviously have support from others or within themselves to where they can make that decision with strong confidence. The counselors here are wonderful people & even if a woman in unsure they can always go & talk to the counselors. Sometimes an unbiased source is what some women need to confide in.
They are mostly Christian. They are also generally white, middle class, and Republican. And they love to protest when white women go in for abortion services. However, black women who have too many kids are put down for either not dealing with "the problem" or for not using protection/being hypersexual. It's a sad world we live in.
if this doesn't illustrate the connection between mental illness and religious fundamentalism ...... well, I don't know what does ........ anybody still believe that Scott Roeder and Paul Jennings Hill aren't nuts??
