@LordMorde Probably because Trixie was portrayed in a more negative light. It's really how you frame things that can change the result and meaning. Trixie was shown to be arrogant and nothing but talk, whereas Twilight Sparkle was shown to be humble and really nice.

Basically in a weird way, it's like saying "I helped my Uncle Jack off the horse." as opposed to "I helped my uncle jack off the horse." Same words and depth, but people take the sentences differently solely because of framework. =)

1. She's a liar. RD boasts about things she has done or believes she can do, Trixie makes stuff up.

2. RD works hard to actually be the best, Trixie humiliates others to make herself look better by comparison.

@LordMorde Good lord, I had always wondered that. Trixie is pretty much like Rainbow, always gloating about how awesome she is. Probably, the difference is that Trixie couldn't make it adobe it, she left in her fear of not being as powerful as she said. While Rainbow, for ex. in Mare-Do-Well, showed that she finally learned the lesson. Maybe that's a reason of why people dislike Trixie. I, from my part, I like her as well as I like Twilight and Rarity (I seem to only like unicorn ponies)

To add on to that, she could eventually have Twilight teach her some new spells, Trixie's old spells not really having quite the same punch to them as Twilight's. In all actuality, Trixie's magical talents have the potential to bloom into being just as powerful as Twilight's, minus when Twilight goes into the same explosively magical mode she went into during her entrance exams.

That way, she's not re-introduced with the unnecessary false bravado as her main 'personality.' Although she can still do the bravado, it seems like it'd be better if people realized it was all an act first. That way, people could relate to her easier.

My idea for a good season two episode is that Trixie comes back (minus her false bravado act), apologizes for what she's done, gets shunned for what happened due to her, and eventually earns the trust of the other ponies after a few things go wrong, thus causing them to learn a lesson about the fact that while you may view someone as bad just because they did something wrong in the past, that doesn't make them truly bad, and it doesn't mean they're always going to be bad.

@brody3199 I think it's because the way she tore down everypony around her. It wasn't 'hey check out what I can do,' it was, 'You all are losers that can't compare with me.' However, you have a point that Dash holds a similar attitude. It was only in that episode, however, that I recall Dash saying she's better than everypony else. Personally I think the hate directed towards her by some fans is unwarranted.

Note that is only my opinion, also my memory is not eidetic, so I could be mistaken.

This should be her battle theme.

She would just be teleporting behind,above,and all around you, firing thrashing bolts of ice and arcane discharges. You would have to dodge it and hit a mirror in her chamber (She loves looking at herself XD) and then it would reflect, break the mirror and hit her. Her hat would fall off and you then can do damage to her by playing keepy-uppy. Once she hits the floor, you are knocked back and take a cruelly large chunk of damage and the process repeats.
