I saw what was left after the crash at their shop and considering how hard it hit the plane is repairable. Tony kept all the pieces and because it is made of foam he can glue it back together, his biggest problem was the motor mount was broken. I've repaired worse myself. He had actually balanced the aircraft according to the manufacture's instruction which was in error. Well all you can say is $hit happens even when you follow the instructions.

And I thought our field was in a bad location being next to a paint ball club. I see on the other side it looks like there's a BMX course. Who the hell designs your parks? lol. Anyway, great video, nice effect and I got a good laugh at the huge letters on the fence that say "DO NOT FLY OVER RIFLE RANGE" after it drops out of sight. :)

@n1tmtu37 Yea bummer that the field is right next to a shooting range and a bmx track. Thats why there is a sign that says not to fly over that space. 1. they do not want anyone to crash over the range and walk over there and maybe get shot on accident. 2. The bmx track is next door and they do not want the planes to hit the kids when they are racing. Well it's an AMA field and it's the closest field near me to fly at :)

Somewhere in here I read the phrase "Nose heavy flies badly, tail heavy flies once!" Really has stuck in my brain to check that COG and I can't even land anything in FMS yet and have a Diablo & AeroBird just waiting for me to get up the nerve and do the dance like you did. @merlynwylld Yea the CG will make a world of a difference. Always check the CG, always check the CG, always check the CG and go by the rule of thumb that the CG should be around the biggest airfoil on the main wing. I should have followed this tip taught to me by other pilots, but instead I was in a rush to fly :(

yea this make me feel alot better now just had my frist crash and ive been flying for almost a year now it no bigy i knew it would happen sooner or later. Just wasent ecpecting it to be my favoit plane that i had 100 or more flights on. It was and eflight extra 260 480. the full fused balsa version not the profile foamy. it was a total loss and a rather iritating one staled the plane saved it and dint have enuph time to avoid the field goal post at the park...

Well luckily it never happen to me out of all the plane that I have flown :) Just kidding but Nitroplanes sells a lot of planes and every once in a while something will fail. But that doesn't mean that it is common. If this ever happens we will exchange the ESC as long your in the 30 days time period.

Good thing I have AMA :) But he told me that someone called and said a plane went down over the riffle range lol I was like it wasn't me holding my plane in many pieces scared silly. Thought I was in trouble for flying over the range. I usually don't fly over the range but this time it was pilot error. Darn :(
