Us four girls just danced and had fun while every other girl was practically dry humping their dates. It's so sad how people think sexy and skanky are the same thing. There's no real style anymore. Whether it be music, dancing or even fashion. And people like me who would actually take a swing class are considered weird. Well I'm glad i'm not completely alone :)
you can still swing like this at clubs like Swing 46 in NYC. I had a great time learning swing when I was in the Rutgers ballroom dance club. Fun times!!!!

@animabi I have seen a similar thing happen in a dance club. Tow of my friends actually went and danced a really fast Cha-cha right in the middle of a bump-grind. They ended up getting curcled around and cheered for when they wtarted pulling out the stops. DANCING FTW!
@animabi This is known as a "Lindy Bomb" and people do it occiationally. But swing (i.e. Lindy Hop) actually fits pretty well with hip hop. The dance scenes in the movie "Idlewild" have a lot of Lindy influence.

Yes..."sing sing sing" is the original version -- the "with a swing" part was added for this soundtrack. It's a FABULOUS song. One of the groundbreaking songs that has pave the pathway for future generations!
