Hey if anyone wants access to the episodes post a comment on the abc australia iview forum ( can't post link) It is the abc iview forum where shows from the archives of the abc can be added to the website for all too view, a really good idea for classic shows like this that don't have the length to make it and sell well on DVD.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me that name of this 90s kids movie where there is an evil smoke that haunts the forest and lumberjack gets shrunken down to the size of these forest faires and helps fight the evil smoke. There is also a funny fruit bat character? thanks.
Yeah, that show was so great and I even liked the other series with Jeffrey Walker THUNDERSTONE ( which is by the way released on DVD ).
But who knows if they release the Wayne Manifesto on DVD because it was just a mini series. But wouldnt it be nice if at least they could rerun it on TV!
exactly! ABC i demand that you put the 1990's kids tv shows back on, they were the original and the best! beats today's shitty abc kids tv shows fo sho
I used to watch and enjoy this show but man the theme sounded so unorganised and disorientated...it was probably ment to, I just didnt like theme though
Yes I know, there was a theme for the intro and a closing theme. It was always the intro theme that I thought was unorganised and sort of messy and all over the place. The closing theme was better and more funny.
Man i remember when i was younger i used to have a big crush on Waynes lady friend , i cant remember her name.. but it was the older of the two sisters lol
It is filmed in New Farm, Brisbane and his school is New farm State School, and the park and rotunda he goes to is New farm park. i know this because I go to the same school and i am always at that park! Although, i am not yet sure what house in new farm he lived in on the show!
im 20 now and i used to watch this show everyday after walkin home from primary school in sydney, takes me back to a better time, great show and it def stands out above the rest of those 90's aussie shows, along with round the twist. ahhhh gud times bak then
Does anyone know if this was filmed in brisbane and in what suburb? I use to have a crush on rupert. I am friends with a girl who's mother (ingrid mason)played mrs pringle (rupert's mum). I only just found out. I love this show and would be good if someone could upload it. Brings back childhood memories.
I have episodes of this, for people interested. Will be uploading soon. Missing a few that I must've taped over, but I used to have almost all of them on vhs.
Good TV show, but I always hated the theme song. Freaking off-key whining vocals.
Video would have been 10x better if it had been the actual introduction video instead of 3 looping still shots. And pretty crappy shots at that.
Still, I acknowledge that it's probably hard to get one's hands on *any* decent Wayne Manifesto material at all. So nice effort to the creator/uploader. If only more material were available.
The Wayne Manifesto is owned and distributed by Southern Star Group. Australia's largest independent television production and distribution group. I wrote them sometime back and they told me that when the show was made that no rights were ever made for distributing the show on VHS or DVD only for viewing on TV.
My suggestion would be for everyone to bombard them with emails requesting that the show be released on DVD.
why doesnt the abc just put reruns during the cristmas shows like morning and such would be the msart thing to do. nearly every channel has reruns during christmas. i miss these shows like the ferals too!!! rag dolls and such!
Thanks alot for posting this, I remember watching this show after school when it premiered back in 1996, and that was when the ABC actually had good shows.
I loved the adventures Wayne and Squocka would get into! And his crush on Violet. The last time i saw this show was on ABC Sunday mornings back in 2002 and that was a long time ago.
I wish they would release it on DVD, but I doubt they will. Maybe the ABC will show reruns I don't know. It was one of the best children shows of the 90's.
haha remember that show like it was yesterday! yes the 90's were mad! remember that show so well, his old man collecting toilets haha. Im going through a round the twist phase ATM, anybody intersted i have a mad link for many episodes...Jeff walker who played wayne is in the second series as Bronson as most of u prob remember. peace, Benny.
Got a huge shock last year when tuning into the ABC on Fri nights to see Geoff Walker (Wayne) back acting on SpyShop. He's actually married to the girl who played Rosie in the series - wayne was and always will be quite the young womaniser.
i love this show. i have my ebay set to search for "Wayne manifesto" and email me if there is a match any day just incase i come across any VHS tapes. i always go into 2nd hand stores to check the VHS's as well. Ive found tonnes of old ABC shows so far from them. its amazing.

I agree, I don't remember it that much though.
Did his dad sell toilets or something?
I remember something about toilets...
idk :P
Ricard0dude 3 years ago
I believe that collecting toilets was his hobby. I don't recall if his profession was as a plumber, although it is probable.
