sorry but visiting detroit and judging us is the stupidest thing i ever heard. i dont really like her, the u.s is soooo beautiful and different in every region, grrrr why can't this women at least try to be happy? she is so dull and depressing we all have freakin issues
@secondsfromfreedom She was probably use to Mexico. The Mexican culture is very vivid and colorful. Detroit. ...yeah-not so much.If she didn't like the culture then don't get offended off of her opinions.Times change and Detroit was different back then she didn't get to see the best of the U.S..Only what she was forced to see.Trust me, her issues were much worse. You try gettin a rail shoved through your vajayjay(or penis)and have your sibling have an affair with your spouse.
I known fact about frida's many paintings is that she was the 1st none European artist to have one of her paintings sell for over a Millions dollars and also Madonna Paid I believe Six Million for her 2 Fridas or Frida & the 2 monkeys Paintings i'm not sure which one.Que Viva Frida y Mexico!!!!
I am not knowledgeable about any fine art. I am knowlegeable about Frida Kalho because as a pre-teen back in the 70's, I had the opportunity to see Diego Rivera's politcal murals in Mexico City. At 18, I went back and fell in love with his wife's work after visiting the house they lived in near Mexico City in Coyoacan. I love that this doc is available to remind me of such wonderful talent and such dramatic lives
I saw the Frida movie, not knowing what it was about, the night before I had neurosurgery so her story is very meaningful to me also cause I love latin american culture. Plus her bisexuality and struggles with Diego. It all hits home.
Kahlo was the seventh of eight daughters born to a successful German photographer, the son of Jewish Hungarians, who had emigrated to Mexico and a Mexican-Indian mother
Love this

There's also one of Salvador Dali if you wanna check it out. They even have some live recordings of him speaking.

I can't believe nobody has commented on this video. I think it is a very good documentary of her life. Very well done.

For me, the doc is so intense and almost exhaustingly emotional for me.
