I made some phone calls to my relatives right after the flood, and alhamdulillah they're doing fine, but it makes me want to cry when I see the pictures of the destroyed homes, hundreds of homeless families and poor farmers who lost everything.

Only Allah suffices as our Helper.

The country cannot hope to cope with freak conditions.

Even in normal rain conditions in a rainy capital like Sanaa, they dug the roads to make a domestic sewage drainage system, but couldn't be bothered to make a rain drainage system while they were at it.

You still have to walk through streets flooded in the capital on a normal day.
