  • hi. was that by any chance a K7SF5D7050B ? if so, what exactly have you done. It is not too clear in this video ... thanks

  • mine sais no device!!!! please help

  • @kieran2209 Do you have the wireless utiility?

  • @wachuneed yes

  • @kieran2209 what model wireless adapter are you using? what version of the wireless utility and OSX?

  • @wachuneed snoleo 10.6 dont know the version of wireless utility and have used a blue next card and another 2 cards. I have an msicr630 laptop so can you get the drivers of make the internet work on my laptops wireless card

  • @wachuneed Looks like a Belkin 54g USB Adapter

  • @sethy2004 Sure is, it works like a charm. the downside it that it only works in 32 bit mode, i can help you out if youd like. although hackintosh isnt too stable i had a perfectly working one just now and it stopped booting so i just installed ubuntu again on it. so dont be disapointed man

  • @wachuneed The issue that I have running this are the display drivers. Half of the screen is cut off, and I do not have a wireless card compatible to download the latest video drivers so I can view the whole screen :(

  • @sethy2004 use a USB

  • @kieran2209 It needs to be in 32 bit mode

  • @wachuneed What do you meen and how do i do it

  • How did you get thoose things on the side of the network like the ethernet and ethernet 2 etc. stuff?

  • @DeGoryGlory under network settings, they should be there. UNLESS you MIGHT need some Kexts, not sure i dont do this kind of thing anymore but i can help. For the wireless, i used a wireless utility, i wish i could give you a link but my hackintosh is down right now, and i cant even find the download anymore, maybe ill see if i can upload the file if i have it in my external for yall guys!

  • @wachuneed Hi i noticed you were helping this guy out with getting his wireless to work on his hackintosh. Is there anyway you could direct me as to how i can get the right kexts

  • @MontageReflex Its actually a program. Do you have a Belkin 54g USB Adapter? Running leopard, lion or snow leopard?

  • @wachuneed Sorry for the late reply. I'm in desperate need of help. I do not understand this "wireless adapter" stuff. I have a Belkin N Router for my wifi. I have no physical adapter i plug anywhere into my computer. Do i need some sort of wifi dongle? I just want to acquire wireless internet on my hackintosh pc.

  • @MontageReflex You would need a Belkin 54g USB, this is basically a USB dongle that allows you to use wifi internet. You can get them at wall mart, ill PM you the link to the product, i got mine instore for around $20 and its going strong after about 2 years. After you have the USB let me know via PM so i can guide you through the rest, its not hard at all(: goodluck

  • @wachuneed Okay i was unaware of this before I began the hackintosh process. Kinda dissapointed but 20 bucks is no big deal. Thanks so much for the help. I have a few more questions if you could supply me with knowledge. Why do you actually need this secondary Wifi device? why can't I use the internal wifi card built into my PC? and secondly do you have any idea as to how I can burn the ISO file i used to install snow leopard onto a USB for bootable install?

  • @MontageReflex Oh, so you have a internal wireless card! Would you happen to know the make a model of it? For the internal you DO need a kext, you wont need this application after all.

If you could just let me know the made and model i would be more than happy to guide you to the right kexts(:

  • @MontageReflex There are videos on how to make a bootable USB, but personally, a DVD is more time efficient and easy. Altough there are ways. Just google 'How to make a bootable USB for hackintosh' and you should have tons of help, sorry i just never use bootable USB's.

  • @wachuneed By "internal wifi card" I am referring to the internal piece of hardware that was able to pick up a wifi single from my wifi router when it was previously running windows 7. Now since a hackintoshed it, it is unable to to do so. Its a laptop. So laptops come with internal wifi cards in them to give the customer the luxury of not having to use ethernet.

  • @MontageReflex Okay, i see. what model of laptop is it?

  • @wachuneed Well unfortunately i cant provide you the link of the site i wanted to send to you that has al the specs. But its an Emachines e725. There are various sites that will list its hardware specs.

Thanks again~! please do message back. I appreciate all your time.

  • @wachuneed As for the USB thing, on my other PC i want to hackintosh, the disk drive is broke. So i can not boot from CD. Basically im screwed if i cant boot from usb and i want to hackintosh that PC so bad.

Anyway, i hope you can continue to help me. I really do appreciate the time and knowledge your supplying me. Its hard to find people anymore who will go out of there way to help

  • @wachuneed oh and its running snow leo 10.6.6

  • oh, ok...i need a big pimpin then:)

  • @birdman5881 yes sir(: haha

  • @demetrsp im using USB,mine only supports USB,But most of them will work on PS/2.If you have a laptop you shouldnt have any problems!

  • can you not talk.....

  • @mickg2216 Can you not shutup and watch the video? What do u expect me to say? The only thing needed to be said is in the title moron.

  • Hold on, is that a Compaq Presario SR1630NX??

  • @kyleAlcobas i beleive so, sorrry for the late ass response

  • I have that exact model and i tried this and never could get it to work any chance of a guide?

  • @GreenJalopy Try Hazzard

  • @GreenJalopy get wireless utilities from google search, then install and reboot, then plug in the wireless then bang

  • @wachuneed I tried to get wireless utilities but im not exactly sure what I'm looking for. I search for wireless utilities and I get about 20 different links and all of those are PC applications. I'm about to install Hazard OSX86 Snow Leopard but before I do I want to make sure I have everything I need to have my wireless running. If you could help me out with a link or a specific application it would be greatly appreciated. :)

  • @GreenJalopy Hazzard wont do anything, you need to get the wireless uttilities,it took me 20 minutes to get it working.Just look on youtube search(get wireless usb working on a hackintosh) and theres a video by some kid that has the download link.i would upload it but i dont know where to upload to.so i can help you along the way if you need any help.i know how u feel bro.

  • @wachuneed Im really sorry to bother you again but Im still having trouble finding a video that has anything to do with wireless utilities. Ive searched and searched for a video that has something to do with Wireless Utilities on hackintosh but still cant find anything. If you could find the video or send me a direct link to the download or something it would be great. Ill probably end up making a guide once this is all over to help others who have problems >.<

  • @GreenJalopy Im going to be nice and upload the file for you,i know how you feel and i can help you,i have alot of experience with hackntosh.keep the hackintosh you have, and ill show you how to get wireless.do you you have a usb?And ill upload the file in a few hours because i have some things to do at the moment.

    Thanks,sacomputerhelp

  • @wachuneed Alright thank you very much for all your help! I have a USB and I have not installed Hazard yet. I am going to get all the files I need onto a USB so that once I install Hazard I can get it all set up with out having to use a second computer. Once again thanks for all the help I really appreciate it! :)

  • @GreenJalopy Anytime,i would also recomend using Ubuntu linux and just change it to make it look like osx,no worries with ubuntu and its better then osx in ways

  • @wachuneed I have a copy of Ubuntu, but OSX and Ubuntu are two different things and Im after OSX :) Thanks for the suggestion though

  • @GreenJalopy Yeah i get you, after a week or 2 osx will get boring, you can customize more in Ubuntu and it has the same structure as OSX.But i highly recomend Ubuntu,i know alot about it and if you ever need help with Linux i can make a video to help you out.BTW i am just using OSX to learn the mac OS and to get used to it before i invest in a multi-thousand dollar Mac.Yupp sadly macs are a bit to pricy for me that the moment(:

  • @wachuneed Good luck getting a Mac. My next computer will be a Mac which I will be getting sometime late 2010 or early to mid 2011. I have used Ubuntu, and I know what it is and how customizable it is. But Ubuntu is not OS X. I need some help getting my wireless working on OS X and from what I saw in your video you know how. I have the exact model Belkin wireless dongle that you have and I'm asking for your help in getting mine working. Thanks :)
