  • Sephiroth's sword was actually a Nodachi. Remember how the blade looked compared to the handle and then wiki Nodachi.

  • lol how do you ship that thing?

  • @kisamethesamehada UPS. It's actually just at the edge of their length limit. Shipping international could be tricky, never had to try (so far), but I reckon Fedex would do it.

  • thinner...

  • i know afew guys who are 7 foot and over that would love that lol

  • now wield that in one hand...

  • so it was you ! ur the one who made sephiroths sword !

  • 27 Aerith fans did not l ike this video.... or this sword.....

  • I'm actually thinking of getting this sword custom made, but just to put on my wall and i'm also getting Genesis's sword made too (The red one).

I anyone can answer my question, it will be greatly appreciated...

If the sword Masamune is supposed to be 7 feet long, does that include the handle along with the blade? or is the blade like 6 feet long and the handle 1 foot long? IDK. someone please explain.

  • the zehander was actually used in large groups of mercenaries, and those who wielded the swords received double pay for such a experienced based job.

  • close enough....

  • I want to workout all the time so i can commision this guy to make me some sort of badass heavy weaponry and so i can post a video of me using it to like, chop down trees or some shit. I might have to take steroids or some shit but it'd be worth it xD

  • "The garden's too small." No that sword is too big! Wonderful!

  • Nice! Okay -let's get Aerith for an experiment! Just kidding but good effort!

  • ya good craftsmanship but ive never seen a katana mad with a hand grinder o. o but really nice work and im not trying to insult you but katana's are a little less bulky than that sword

  • @MultiAvatarman This Person who commented, clearly has no idea what final fantasy is.

  • Remarkable craftsmanship.

  • are you sell it?

  • Lol. "Vaginus".

  • Question, I'm not sure but does it bend and little when you swing it around?

    Kinda seems like it does.

  • @Bastiest

If it was totally rigid, it would probably break incredibly easily.

  • @Pajapah Depends on the material, it wouldn't.

  • @thebeliver91 also, im not saying this stuff to be a douche or anything, im just saying it because I know alot about swords. I have been to many weapon expo's and in each one that has a nodachi featured its the most watched demonstration at the show. The reason being is it takes years and years of practice to use it efficiently.

  • @estrangdspydr thats not a nodachi bro ,its a fantasy sword;)

  • @1duspiores The sword that Sephiroth wields is a Nodachi... bro...

  • @estrangdspydr BRO thats to huge ,athe nodachi is mostly just the tsuka thats biguer than a normal katana, its biguer in blade to but its not that size,or you can still say that if you can actualy cut 10 tatami "sticks" whit it, BRO

  • @1duspiores I couldn't understand you because well whatever you typed wasn't english... but if you are trying to say sephiroths sword was too big to be a nodachi, Nodachi's measured between 6 and 7 feet (including the handle). I am not talking about the "sword" in this video, that is neither a katana, nodachi, or well, a sword in general, it is a sharpened piece of metal that was never forged... The name of Sephiroths sword is "Masamune" named after the legendary Japanese swordsmith in tribute.

  • @estrangdspydr handle?tsuka is the right word so stop talking about something you clearly dont have the knowledge to discuss ,i will not awser more...........

  • @1duspiores As always, ignorance is bliss... A Nodachi has a handle, that is 1/4 of its total length, an odachi has a handle that is 1/3 of its total length. Unlike you, I don't need to use japanese terms to make people believe what I am talking about... but if you want to get technical... The Tsuka should be no more than 1/4 the tottal size of the Nagasa to be considered a Nodachi. Good enough for you? or do I have to contact the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kai and as them?

  • @estrangdspydr GOD BLESSS GOGLE;) AND FUCK OFF

  • @1duspiores I have a feeling he knows more about swords than you ever will.

  • @XxDeadsoulz i have a feling your chanel is fake

  • @1duspiores Why, exactly?

  • @XxDeadsoulz coz im insane, that all,im not gona use this god video as our litle playgroud

  • @1duspiores You did with the other person for 6 days, if I'm not mistaken.

  • @XxDeadsoulz Nodachi Specifications: Weight: 69.6 oz. Blade Thick: 5/16" Blade Length: 34" Handle: 23" Samé (Ray Skin). black braid cord with brass Menuki Steel: 1055 Carbon Overall Length: 57"

WOULD YOU LIKE TO KNOW MORE;)?

  • @XxDeadsoulz "GOD BLESS GOOGLE"

  • @XxDeadsoulz oh and 1055carbon steel is cold steel ,anything else?

  • @1duspiores How is that relevant to anything we are talking about? Besides, didn't you say that you weren't going to use this "god" video as our play ground?

  • @XxDeadsoulz not relevant?OK ,FIRST THE BOY TALKED ABOUT A NODACHI ,YES?OK,2nd WEN I USED THE WORDS TSUKA AND KATANA THE BOY SAID THAT I WASNT SPEEKING ENGLISH (REALY !!??)AND 3rd YOU GUYS ARE SOO DUMM I CANT RESIST TO "PLAY" ,AND PLEASE LEARN BEFORE TEACHING NEXT TIME(see ya)

  • @1duspiores Yeah, but that was all him. I didn't say anything about the sword or the video or anything, except the fact that he probably knows more about swords. I'm not really teaching, I'm just talking.

  • @XxDeadsoulz and you still belive a guy like that ?before me others try to explane that no game (almost)have a actual "practical "sword, did you see that super muscular dude swingguing the "buster"?know tell me if the "masamune " in the "fantasy version" look or handles like a real nodachi,WAKE UP ,and read well the conversacion before joining in (im i the only one getting a "semi" out of this?)

  • @1duspiores Yes, I do. Because, like you said, God bless Google. I read the conversation, and you came out of no where just like I did, and started talking shit to him. So really, there was no point for either of us talking.

  • @XxDeadsoulz THAT WAS THE SMARTEST THING ENYONE EVER SAID !!!!AND I MEAN THAT

  • @1duspiores I know, I'm so smart :3.

  • @XxDeadsoulz whi didnt you show that early!;)(and i met a semi down there)

  • @1duspiores Cause I was being an ass hole. :D

  • @XxDeadsoulz no no no,you dont say that in such a harsh way, teacher is the correct term;)it seems that this nodachi subject give alot of people will to talk(write, and whit some cursing along)the thing that remains unchangable is the fact were "standyng in front" of the "masamune" of the game that sold more dreams than copyes;)

  • @1duspiores That's the Internet for you, freedom of speech.

  • @thebeliver91 Nodoachi's were NOT used for stabbing.... Stabbing someone with a nodachi is like picking your teeth with a 3 inch toothpick.. i.e. it will break... the nodachi were used by extremely skilled swordsman.... and those swordsmen could swing a nodachi just like a katana... and to wield one properly, you needed alot of strength and alot of skill. i.e. why sephiroth used a nodachi was a recognition of how skillful he was with a blade. They didnt just give it to him because it looked cool

  • @thebeliver91 It's Nodachi.... not "no-dachi".... and it wasn't a spear like weapon, it was a two-handed SWORD.... the difference between a spear and a sword is that a sword has a long blade and a short handle, and a spear had a long handle and a short blade... The Tobongiri, Nihongo and Otegine were the spears of Japan... the Nodachi was the Japanese equivalent of of a European great-sword....

  • FF7 memories are so fun to see including the kick ass swords

  • Woah watch out for the power lines

  • hmm, but does it blend?

  • I know a guy who's seven feet tall and even he couldn't wield this.

  • the thing about sephiroth sword i think its made out of some kind of light and very strong weight metal

  • To all those whom it may concern.

Cloud can use the Buster Sword because he is infused with Mako energy, which makes him as strong as any member of SOLDIER.

Sephiroth can wield the Masamune because he isn't human. He is humanoid, but not human. He was created from the corpses of failed JENOVA experiments. Thus, he is able to wield this huge katana with such dexterity and ease.

If you want an example of the strength of a SOLDIER member, look up Zack Fair and look at the size of his arm muscles.

  • @chazzyp1001 well actual cloud 1st use it b4 he got the mako in him when he 1st killed sephiroth,

  • @chazzyp1001 actully he wasnt made from corpse of failed Jenova experiments, but rather jenova cells were infused in his embrio while he was in Lucrecia's womb, Crisis Core made the statement you made, so you're some what right, but the original game stated the latter. Talk about Abusive parents, that Hojo

  • @chazzyp1001

...I'm going to sound like a geek...but what the fuck ever...

The god damn game even says the sword only ways a few pounds. It has nothing to do with being in fucking SOLDIER. It's obviously made of a metal type not known or unobtainable in this world. The same goes for the god damn Masamune

  • @chazzyp1001 actually, sepiroth was implanted with Jenova's cells while inside the womb, so he has genetics of his mother, father and Jenova

  • @chazzyp1001 No. Sephiroth is human. He was born the son of Lucrecia and Hojo. The only inhuman thing about him is that he was injected with Jenova cells while he was still gestating in the womb.

  • Now that's a blade to be proud of. However, not one I would play around power lines with haha.

  • the japs would be proud. in WWIII they will all wield keyblades and Final fantasy weapons we will be slaughtered.

  • You will never be Sepherioth until you can wield that shit with one hand and swing it with ease

  • eh... aren't there only 7 masamune creations on the planet? masamune isn't a sword btw... he's a katana smith

  • @Sehnomatic Yeah, but it's also the name of the sword in FF. Same way there are swords named Muramasa in the games. They were named after the smiths.

  • @lp2isawesome Yeah, that was the first one that came to mind to be honest. And then the sword Masamune made had to be used to kill the possessed swordsman.

  • ......but will it bend??

  • Oh fuck...

  • What if....He hit a powerline?

  • the masamune is aurons sword

  • "It's really, really long" Haha!

  • if he would have touched the power line i would have laughed my ass off :D

  • Impressive. But his sword is nothign compared to the real Masamune~! Frog/Glenn Masamune is just epic! <3

  • That's how Chuck Norris brushes his teeth.

  • wewt im taller than the blade is long :D but with the handle :/ unfortunatly im not tall enough

  • You know what they say about men with big swords...

  • @kolideoskope ....big sheaths

  • @kolideoskope

    better start runnin?

  • 24 people who disliked got stabbed by murasame

  • clouds sword is broader but shorter and sephiroths sword is longer but not as broad

so its about even but to be able to swing a sword that long so fast is epic

  • Maybe the video is the reason why but that doesn't look long enough to be Sephiroths sword. Is that indeed 13 feet

  • @BboyStretchXP It probably is, I doubt anyone would put that much work into something and not do any research on it.

  • i dont get it, clouds sword is way better, and his sword weigh much more.......damn you sephiroth, oyu had to have the easy sword

  • i think sephiroth just came

  • i would like 2 buy that off you

  • W00T! I just got dual wield unlocked!!!

  • it would be intimidateing on the battlefield but ulitmatly ineffective unless it was used by cavalry. yes hard to block because the weight of the strikes would be so strong but not hard to dodge

  • While this is more practical in terms of weight than the buster sword, it's length makes it too awkward to handle.

  • @buba399 You must be a very skilled sword user then.

  • do u think u could make one for me? only the blade would have to be a little shorter and the handle longer.

  • That's supposed to be masamune!? -_-' uh... I'm sure even Sephiroth wouldn't wield that, he must be very proud.

  • Well, to avoid confusion I would name this "Sefirot Sword" rather than "Masamune". Masamune was taken from the name of a real japanese lineage of "katana crafters", known as the best. There are actually a lot of legends about theese masamune swords, and that's why they used the name in the FF series.

Sou you didn't actually make a "masamune". Only the descendant of the masamune lineage know the secrets to make this awesome swords.

(Just pointing something, not trying to troll or anything)

  • @xantyleonhart ur rite

  • @xantyleonhart great explination.. there is only 1 problem..

    IT'S SEPHIROTH, NOT SEFIROT

  • @skipPeRTh3Reaper

Okeeeey man... i'm spanish, and in my country his name appears written as Sefirot, and sounds exactly the same as in english, any problem with that?

Sephiroth, Sefirot... It's the same... don't arge about something that nonsense.

  • @xantyleonhart so basically what you're saying:

'Obama, Osama... It's the same' Some things are quite serious when misspelled, so no, i'm not arguing about nonsense, but i didn't know it was sefirot in spain, so sorry for that :)

  • Crude but effective

  • I still want one. I really, really, reeeeeaaaaaally want one.

  • cool! fuck buying it from internet just make Masamune yourself. this is totally awesome!

  • Zweihanders were used in combat. It is most famously attributed to Pier Gerlofs Donia, a Frisian who was said to have been the greatest master of the weapon. The advantage it had over pikes was that it could easily destroy the shafts of the outstretched weapons, effectively disabling the enemy soldier before they could do any harm.

  • i.....want.....that......sword.......

  • oh yea...with a BUSTERSWORD!!!!!!

  • how in the hell are you suppose to parry that!!!!

  • @moujahed Don't. Run the other way =l

  • alright octaslash time!!!!

  • so where's the sheath

  • but would it blend ?

  • nice life

  • WOW!

  • Awesome

  • the masamune is truly a lightningrod lol

  • WHAT IS THAT MONSTROSITY?!

  • with a spear you only can poke and jab with a long as sword you can slice and stince its made of metal it will have no problem breaking a wodden or hallow spear like they used back in the day

  • Fucking Awsome Sword Dude. i love sephiroth's blade

  • When you're friend's girlfriend is being a bitch.

  • Its made of steel huh? Its good but if its close to making it look sturdier id use carbon. Awesome though, but then again your not a master blacksmith for a replica its pretty damn cool, how much?

  • In which it is demonstrated why Japan is wrong.

  • LOL i love the epic conversation at the end "sheating it?! imagine how long your arms would have to be!"

  • IMAGINE CLOUD WITH MASAMUNE :O ZOMG D:

  • it's way to thick

  • Still not a Masamune. Learn your terms.

  • @Nihkolara it is

you're thinking of the samurai sword that's really long

I know it's name but it's not that great so I won't mention it

  • now all you need is a mako surgery

  • if a katana is that big doesnt it kinda defeat the purpous of it?

  • @RolyTofKokirians There are different types of katanas. I doubt that the masamune would have any practical value in combat, but if I had to think of a similar katana I would say the odachi is the most similar. Long blade while maintaining usefulness in a fight.

  • @TurmoilTom Oh, from the master of Katana warfare Turmoiltom, I remember reading a passage from that name in the Art of War. You dont know a fucking thing about the swords you dick sucking Darryl. You read some shit on wikipedia and watched a documentary and you think you have the right to regurgitate that information too the youtube audience? Your probably a nigger, do you have any information on if niggers are useful in a fight? Go eat some fried chicken and grape soda, you useless nigger.

  • @brownkv081 Well, I DO like fried chicken and grape soda...

  • @TurmoilTom ...I kinda do too, thanks for ruining my trolling.

  • Wow I want that sword ^^

  • @JeffreyBushido me to but, do you know how heavy is it?

  • To answer your question, Zweihanders were indeed used. But they were more of a Combat Deferent then a real sword. People who actually used them for fighting were ridiculously huge guys.

  • There are reasons they have naginata's and spears.

  • How do you pronounce masamune?

  • @poopikins mah-sah-moo-nay.

  • The "Horse killer" is a Japanese invention and it's called Zanbatou in Japanese, though as of today I haven't seen any over the internet, there are however some very long katana of which the longuest cutting edge is of about 220 cm long (7 feet and 2.61 inches).

  • Can I become your disciple?

  • Awesome!

But, the blade is a little bit to short and the handle is to long, otherwise, EPIC WIN!

  • @Xarandele

I dont think he gives a fuck by now :)

  • Also to the creator.

It's another cool sword, but you made it too wide, the masamune wasn't horse killer size, it was more of an odachi, they just had bad size ratio in the games, also when you wield the sword you're supposed to wield it in a backwards fashion with the butt of the hilt facing outwards swinging it with two hands.

  • remember, Sephiroth had the Murasame: The Demon Blade, which didn't care who it killed. The Masamune was a holy sword that only struck down evil.

  • @TheEGWater

Sephiroth had the MASAMUNE Murasame was a sword in FF7 too but it was a buy from shop weapon from Wutai, Sephiroths Masamune was just an extremely powerful custom sword.

  • @Xarandele u should also research the origins of the two swords.

  • @TheEGWater WRONG! MASAMUNE KILLS YOU!

  • @stranglechord research grasshopper

  • @stranglechord In Soviet Russia You kill the Masamune (also in Chrono Trigger.. somehow :P)

  • @TheEGWater cause knowledge is power!

  • @TheEGWater No, sephiroth had a masamune.

    According to japanese legends:

Muramasa = The blood thirsty evil blade.

Masamune = Holy sword. (But it doesnt mean Sephiroth has a Masamune, cause he does.)

  • @TheEGWater Thank God somebody knows at least some Japanese lore. You're right about Masamune being holy (Masamune was a legendary swordsmith who forged swords that were considered without peer, and could only harm evil (in legends)) But I believe you mean Muramasa, not Murasame in the second part of your statement. Muramasa was the evil sword maker. In the stories I've read, there is no Murasame. Murasame is more or less a name I've seen in video games, simply mixing the two names together.

  • @TheEGWater Not Murasame, Muramasa.

  • Imma ride my horse at that tiny Japanese man, all he has is his short girly sword... OH SHIT what is that, oh no my horses legs holy f*ck... I am dead.

Zweihander goes about the same way, but you'd expect germans to be crafty.

  • @supersonic2394161 No, supersonic, it was the anime silliness.

  • Cloud was serious when he said that Sephiroth's the only one who can wield that sword.

  • careful around power lines...

  • I think that the word for "horse killer sword" you're looking for is the japanese word "nodachi".

  • @meowwl Nodachi means "field sword", but yes, it was nick-named "horse killer" because it was sometimes used as such. I think the sword from China that he is talking about is either the dadao or changdao. He also mentioned the German zweihander which was indeed used in battle. I doubt it was used to chop the heads off of pikes, because chopping a thick hardwood pole is difficult enough, especially when they are held horizontally like in formation, if you know what I mean.

  • If you made that I want to know is are you rich cause how can you afford all that steel? cause its expensive

  • Just letting you ladies out there know, it's something like that...

  • YOU'RE USING THE WRONG HAND

  • So when are they going to get that Melon? lol

    oh and Fuck YEA!!!

how much do you sell the Buster and Masamune swords for?

  • hang on your wall. and make sure its the first thing that is seen enterting your house. criminals will run in fear and you can stop the dumb ones stupid enough to try and take it or use it

  • Now can you also stap 20 years old girls in their back then they are praying:D

  • @kinder0100 Aerith was 22

  • @aelegent Um her name is Aeris it was just in Kingdom Hearts that she was called Aerith

  • @BlackFoxArza other way around. The original final fantasy vii is the only one that has called her Aeris. KH, KH2, KH COM, she's credited as Aerith in AC, CC she's called Aerith. Square Enix comfirms, dude, her name is Aerith

  • @BlackFoxArza her English-ized name was Aeris, her original name was Aerith. They reverted back to Aerith when KH was released which was years after people were referring to the character by both names.

"In the English release of Final Fantasy VII, Aerith’s name was transliterated as "Aeris" by SCEA. As the Japanese language does not have the "th" sound, and the closest thing is "su", the translators took the "su" sound in her Japanese name to mean a single "s."

  • @aelegent well you've done your research very nice

  • @BlackFoxArza i didn't have to research anything, that link only showed i was merely correct :/ it's not like you'd have believed me without proper citation :p besides i knew that tidbit since the game was out

  • @BlackFoxArza part 2: However, since Kingdom Hearts and in all related appearances since, her name has been "Aerith", and the name "Aeris" has been considered retconned."

    finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Aerith_Gainsborough

  • looks just liek my cawk but smaller :3

  • a lot of western swords were not sharp, instead they cracked the armor cutting it into the opponent's body. a sword that size dull would still be functional, making sheathing not an issue... just a thought.....

  • That's no sword, that's a fucking spear.

  • Freaking huge. I still wonder how the heck he used that.

  • @supersonic2394161 Not to be a geek, but it was the mako that allowed him to use it with ease, just like Cloud and his Buster Sword.
