REALLY think about that. there are so many freaking ducks in the world its un-believable. the species of duck or ANY game bird for that matter would never go extinct unless a big ass meteor hit earth and killed us all. and even IF the duck species was going down because of hunting. the conservationists would do something about it.

i don't think some people know how fortunate they are to have hunters like us ... birds and turkeys and deer eat farmers fields and limit what food there is for beef and even vegetables .. we as hunters we keep numbers at reasonable levels and keep them sustained.....................­......

i had an awsome opening that year heaps of ducks, no greenies, but i have had years with them as well. one thing is certain they are getting no where!, we have a secure season and they have nothing to bleat about that has any credibility. we as hunters have far more empathy, understanding and involvment in the benifit of waterfowl in australia, and we take a sustainable number each year. hunters(true environmentalists) 1: greenies 0.

i dont see the difference between buying meat from the shops and hunting my own. Both were killed humanely, the only difference is that i decided to collect my own. most of the people there should be protesting because i can gaurentee most of those protesters eat meat themselves.

Actually if you are competent hunter its often a more humane option. Fuck - just look at battery farmed hens. As for conservation, anyone with half a brain should realize that its best in the long run to have bag limits, controlled seasons and to protect habitat.
