dude theres like 10 guys in a house workin on this project and a few others scattered threw the usa and there rebuilding one of the biggest mmos from scratch and so far theyre almost done they got all of the proffesions done xp ,wepons,loot,crafting,vehicles theme parks well a few of them and house they just dident put them in the game but maybe the end of 09 at the latest!

whats funny is now everyone knows how ppl got jedi back in pre cu so itd only take like a couple months to grind all the classes lol , heck could do swordsman and pikeman in the same day lol .

For a start the path to jedi will be a customization choice for the server hosts.

Some servers will have Jedi hologrind. Others will have Jedi disabled completely. As for mastering professions quickly. Well that depends on other people. How are you going to grind 24/7 if there are no docs or ents to buff you? Armoursmiths or weaponsmiths equip you? Entertainers to clear battle fatigue? Trainers to train you? Yes you may have the know-how to get Mswords/pike in a day but you wont be able to.

sure i will , doctor only takes a coupled days, so alt grind a doctor and an entertainer real quick, problem solved, do not need armor whatsoever to grind anyways.

It will take weeks to harvest enough resources just to grind Doc with. Nevermind, finding the high quality spawns to make decent buffs, nevermind the architects who need to make the harvesters etc.

You haven't got a clue. When the first EMU server has been live for aabout 3-6 months you might stand a chance, of accomplishing these amazing feats you describe, but not at the start.

You cannot at the moment. Jedi was enabled to begin with but everyone just rolled jedi and no real testing got done. Be patient. The more you help out the quicker they will be finished and the sooner you can get your jedi.

I would really like to switch to this but I'll have to start from scratch on the track to Master Pilot - also will I even be able to do it at all? Will space be in Swgemu? also, on my server on Swg there's hardly anyone around - exept in Mos Eisley - will it be like that on SwgEmu?

The server populations are difficult to judge.

I think that there will be 3-5 large servers that will accomodate many players. If you pick the right server you wont be lonely. If you stick with NGE though, you will be.

There was flight preCU. JTL came out before the CU hit. So therefore, flight will be in the emulator. It just might not be there at first.

Thats the whole purpose of the project. Jedi starting clases came with the Combat whatever its called, basically ruined the game. So Emulators decided to restore the game back to its original (and better) status, including holograms for jedi's i believe, either that or the village.

I played SWG for a few years, thought it was alright for a while and decided to stick around for the NGE. Nothing wrong with the NGE really.. its the game itself, it could've been more better.. and the old days were good, true.. but it would've been better if we had the NGE at the beginning.

I rate this 3/5.. we don't need a pre-cu/nge game.. at least not with thousands of jedi running around.. i mean come on, that was the worst thing in the game.

SWGEmu isn't half-completed... They've got LOTS to do before they are done...

Few examples:

Jedi profession doesn't work

Terminals doesn't work

Vader spawns at Anchorhead and killing all (sometimes krayt dragon)

I'd rather go for the True Galaxies Emu...

i tried it out and its really cool but super unstable and buggy, the actual game lacks structure. it also appears to have no AA support . the current swg i think is great but would be tons better if jedi and such were just like pre cu, all the towns and places are ghost towns and when u finally do see people the're all lvl 90 jedi. im sure that if more people played things would be alot better.

As much as I loved the original SWG, I don't think this emu will quite cut it- I have been following swgemu a bit and their stability in deveopment/staff is quite unstable (paypal take cash & run, etc) and they still have a ways to go.

What also saddens me is that SWG went from 300K+ subs to currently 50K subs in a year and half after the CU-NGE transformation, then again ALL SOE hosted MMO games tends to go this way because of their fucking retarded decisions.

There were quests Pre-CU, in fact, there really wasn't a whole lot of content that they added with the the different expansions to the game. Also, this video is footage of an alpha test, not a full version of the game. And If you look for videos of the current build SOE is running, it just looks like a shitty pseudo fps.
